#StickiedForAReason
Votes that do not follow the template will not be counted!

At this time I am using a counter system, listing the number of days votes take to be put into action. However for write-in votes you don't know how many days an action may take. For this we will use the old system of Major/Minor Decisions, and I will tell you how many days/weeks/months the plan will take. Remember that every month has 28 days, and that there are 13 months in the year with New Years as a special day alone outside the months. There is no leap year, as their calendar is not accurate to that degree.

Major decisions are any new endeavors. Finding new investments. Finding new allies (specify what type, where you're looking if possible, what you want from them, etc) finding new trainers, starting new training even if it is with people you already know... Anything new.

No mixing something that would qualify as a minor decision or free action into your major votes! If you have a question about your votes, ask me.

Talking with specific people about specific subjects. You can generally only talk with one person at a time with this. There are simple logical exceptions, Husband & Wife combos can be put together as one conversation, brother & sister, stuff like that. I'll clarify if a combo is unacceptable when I see the vote. This is also for continuing any long term action. Any major decision that you have already voted to start (not just mused about in-story) can be a minor action the next time around. Continuing training that you have already begun for example. Continuing a long-term investigation or plot. Stuff like this.

Making small talk with characters. You will not learn anything special really, but it gives you more insight into their backgrounds and history, can raise/lower their loyalty or other relationship points with you, etc. Raising/lowering and how much depends on rolls.

These can interrupt any current action(s) and will take precedence over the current plan. A way to change things on the fly as you discover new information or alternate ways to potentially enhance your plan, or change it completely if needed.

Remember for all votes if you take a guard or other individual with you, you will need to write-in which guard/person you take with you (just saying take a guard or ally will leave the decision of which one up to me) and also whether Daenerys tries to use any future knowledge on the decision as well if it is one of hers or she is present. (She still may decide to try and use her future knowledge without your consent if she thinks it necessary.) These details are sub-votes.

[] [Plan] X (Current Month, Short Term, Long Term, Immediate Actions, Purchases, etc.)
-[] Major Decisions: Character name here
--[] Major Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 1
--[] Major Decision 2
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 2
---[] Sub-conditions of Major Decision 2
-[] Minor Decisions: Character name here
--[] Minor Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Minor Decision 1
---[] Sub-conditions of Minor Decision 1
--[] Minor Decision 2
-[] Free Actions: Character name here
--[] Free Action 1
---[] Sub-conditions
--[] Free Action 2
---[] Sub-conditions

You get the jist of this.

However, under the plan vote, you will then put a "Priority" Vote.

[] Aegon Priority: 1. Major Decision 1, 2. Free Action 2, 3. Minor Decision 1, 4. Major Decision 2, etc.
[] Daenerys Priority: 1. Free Action 2, 2. Major Decision 3, 3. Minor Decision 1, etc.

This way we can vote on the general plan, then I can separate the order of events in said plan.

Don't put V1, V2, or any other such revision information into your plan. Just leave it like I have it. Nothing extra. The tally system will update to your newest post. No need to make version markers. It just makes things harder for me.

If an action in a plan is not one for a specific character, more a general idea of what needs to be done, it will still need to go into the priority matrix.

At the end of all your votes, put your reasons explaining your vote choice. As I've said before, a plan with reasons will get more weight than one without. Because reasons matter. I care about reasons more than numbers. I need reasons to help build the characters. Get used to putting reasons into your plans, as eventually reasons will become a requirement rather than a suggestion. This post will change when that occurs.

[] [Plan] X

You may (but are not required to) put additional reasons to agree with that plan beneath your vote if there are reasons for it that the original vote creator didn't put in that you thought of. The more/better the reasoning inside explaining a vote, the greater the chance it will be added into the story.

Votes are typically closed after either 12 or 24 hours unless real life interferes. Ties will be either decided by me, or by whoever is in the forum or the Discord that has not voted already at the time. I will @ whoever is currently in the forum or Discord that I choose to be the tiebreaker.

Plans have specific timelines. Immediate Actions are obviously immediate. Current Month is similarly self-explanatory. Short Term is something that can conceivably be done within 1-3 months, and Long Term is 3-6 months.

It's not a huge deal, but even simple rules can look arbitrary if they aren't clearly defined.
I will say that the rule about "meta" is kinda sucky in nature in all these kinds of games. The reason being that the line for it is blurry.

Like here, where the line was that he was talking about what Robert would care about rather than whether Robert would even know, it gets kind of obvious that it is meta because you've never met Robert and have no clue what he would care about.

On the other hand, to use d&d for example - Certain creatures have weaknesses to certain things. If these creatures are well known in the world you have an argument for your character knowing the stats that show up in the monster manual. So where then comes the line between what your character should know about these creatures and not? What can they do to prepare that is meta or isn't?

It really can come down to how good your argument is in some situations, so I kind of have to leave that one vague, which is why I added the @ me if you are unsure. Because while some situations are obviously meta, some can be argued not to be.

I should mention that knowledge I give you, (you guys have asked me questions before) are allowed to be used as arguments, meta or no. Aegon has been having dreams that he doesn't remember, perhaps those provide some subconscious reasoning that he is unaware of.

If I call you out on meta, feel free to say "this isn't meta and here's why". I have no problem considering your POVs here.

For mathematical reasons I am changing SD from 15/GD to 20/GD. You guys just got 5 extra SD/GD since I'm not gonna penalize you for my lack of foresight.

A Divine Order For This Mortal Coil - Part Three
Winning Vote

Try to bribe them. Someone is looking for you, and you want to know who. However, we should really keep our hands ready to draw our weapons in case they attack. Good thing we bought that longsword earlier. If the bribe fails, we can always call for help, there just might be some guards around.

A Divine Order For This Mortal Coil - Part Three
Third Week of the Fifth Month 297 AC

You subtly slide your hand to the hilt of your swords, ready to draw them at a moment's notice. You eye the one with the dagger before speaking. "Looking for someone? How unexpected. So am I."

"Yeah, we heard about you. The new Valyrian who thinks he's a noble just because he showed up with some gold. Well, we don't deal with your kind here." his voice slurs in obvious drunkenness. "Nothing but a bunch of sister-fucking slavers anyway."

'Ah,' you realize. These aren't hired thugs, just anti-Valyrian assholes. Glancing from one to the other you quickly realize that all three are drunk and the other two also pull knives. You draw your own weapons in response, but keep your voice calm and level. Some Braavosi guards walk by, but after seeing the four of you they simply grunt and keep moving. 'Well, even the guards in this part of town are useless.'

The thugs wait tensely until the sound of the guards' boots have faded into the distance, no doubt understanding that the guards will want plausible deniability. If someone happens to come along before they've finished with you.

"Now, now," you say, adopting the manner of your Lysian trainer and adding some levity to your tone. "I haven't done anything of the sort yet, and even once I have, I'll be an aunt-fucker, not a sister-fucker." 'These will do as good practice, Matalarr did say I would need to find some real experience eventually.' "Besides," you add with a smirk, "I'm quite certain that my aunt will do far better than your mothers or sisters would have." 'Get them angry, angry men fight foolishly,' Matalarr's voice echoes in your head.

With a drunken roar they converge upon you, but though you are new to the blade, you have been training with a master for the past moon. These drunken and clumsy fools aren't half as fast, nor a tenth as skilled, and you bypass their attacks easily.

Knowing that you have been seen by the passing guard and so cannot leave any dead or otherwise "missing" persons, you swat at them with the flat of your blades, causing bruises and such rather than true wounds. You toy with the drunk men a bit before finally putting your blades to the inside of two of their thighs, point at their manhood. Instinctively, they freeze and when their friend starts to move toward you with obvious intentions you press just slightly into them and they yell for him to stop. 'A man cares more for his cock than his life,' you remember Matalarr mentioning in training 'especially if he's experienced the use of it.'

"Now," you say still maintaining the demeanor of a man far more skilled than yourself. "What am I to do with drunken wastrels such as yourselves?" You cock your head to the side and pretend to think. "Well, the guard are obviously useless, so I that's out; I could take these," you apply pressure for just a moment before easing up again, "but I'm sure that one night's drunken behavior will not be repeated, right?" The two men frantically nod while signaling to their other friend to shut up when he goes to speak. "But then, you attacked me first, without provocation. Your debt to me for sparing you would not be cleared. There must be something you can do to repay me for your lives and... well, these." you say, again applying slight pressure before quickly relenting.

What do you ask of the men?

[] Money. If they're drunk, they paid for drinks. Perhaps they have some left.

That was easier than expected. I honestly don't think they have much to give. Certainly nothing we'd want to any great degree. I say we let them off with a slap on the wrist (or a poke in the balls?).

Let's not rob the guys. We came down here to stop extortion not participate in it. Plus anti-Valyrian sentiment could screw us over down the line.

Also are we here for robberies? I thought the merchant had problems with extortion.

Edit X: Ok. I'm done ;)

Edited the option to say "new gang" instead of robbery. Better to have you all be absolutely sure what you were voting on.

Well, now I seem like a fear-mongering, over-cautious idiot.

Yeah, don't want to rob the guys and make people hate us more than they already do. Maybe we'll get some useful info out of them.

[X]Information

They are drunk. What useful things they can give us are limited to gossip and unverified rumours.

Not necessarily. Drunk people still know everything they knew when sober. Being in the military I've seen drunk people having to get stopped before they talked about classified information in public. Being drunk doesn't negate your knowledge. - In this particular case these guys aren't dressed too well, and don't seem like they know anything about high society, but you're still new to Braavos. Learning about middle/low society might benefit you somehow.

A Divine Order For This Mortal Coil - Part Four
Third Week of the Fifth Month 297 AC

"That ring of yours," you say to the man with his privies against the blade of your short sword, "what does it signify?" He hesitates to answer but applying a bit more pressure causes his lips to loosen.

"S-silver scorpions," he stutters, "w-we used to run these streets".

"Used to?" you ask curiously. "What happened?"

"Barons of Braavos is what 'appened," he scowls angrily. This he speaks easily, no encouragement needed. "Damn bastards think they can just swoop in and take over evryfin', like nothin'll 'appen to 'em."

"Take over how?" you question. Gangs are your current business after all.

The man spits to the side, as if to get rid of a foul taste. "We used to charge protection 'round these parts, kept the streets clear o' trouble. 's why the guard don't bother us when they see us handlin' business. But these Barons 'tch, they just cause trouble to charge fer protectin' from. If'n Lester were still 'round they'd ne'er even..."

"Shaddup Garret," the one not touched by either of your weapons says. "Lester's dead, and he ain't comin' back. You was s'posed to 'andle things, and now look at us. Got our arse 'anded to us by a brat."

'Interesting. So these thugs were something of a local militia, financed by the shops until the new gang came along. Thugs still, but closer to paid guards than these others. Only now they've lost their leader and have turned into... this. Hmm. Perhaps I could use this to my own advantage...'

"Tell me then," you say suddenly inspired. "would you be willing to work with a Valyrian if it meant being rid of these upstarts?"

"Eh?" the third one says, who has been quiet the rest of the time. "Why 'ould you 'elp us?"

"Well," you say, withdrawing your weapons from their manly parts. "because my business here is to get rid of them."

The three men look at each other for a moment, then Garret puts away his dagger, the other two following suit. "What're you proposin'?"

What do you choose?

[] Align with these men. If they and others are the remnants of a somewhat "honorable" gang, perhaps you can win them to your side by getting rid of their enemies. If so, you can hatch two dragons from one egg. Get rid of the violent gang, and perhaps gather some men that you can start building into your own force. Perhaps a private security company of some sort.

[] Align with these men. They could be useful in taking down the gang, and you don't need to have anything to do with them afterwards. But it wouldn't hurt to have people in the underside of the city indebted to you.

[] Don't align with them. Negotiate for continued safe passage through the rougher areas of town in the future in exchange for assistance in getting rid of their enemies.

[] Write-in.

Short segments. After such a quiet time the die keep giving nice tidbits you all need to vote on.

As an aside, do you guys like the accented writing, or should I have everyone talk normally? It's easier on me to just type normal, but I'll put it in for immersion if it works better for you all.

They are unlikely to have any amount that is worth our time. Information on the other hand would be very useful.

We might even learn the names of those who'd wish us ill.

Edit. Ah ninja'd by an update.

To be honest, I'd rather just not. Nothing good comes from the mob and organized crime. Better to just stick on the clean side of things and concentrate on more important things, such as the dragons eggs.

We are aren't lacking in cash, and will be getting the Targaryen holdings within the next few months. We can do legitimate investing on a pretty decent scale with what we've got.

[X] Align with these men. They could be useful in taking down the gang, and you don't need to have anything to do with them afterwards. But it wouldn't hurt to have people in the underside of the city indebted to you.

It's too soon to be thinking about our own personal sellsword company. We just met these people. We can think about it after we get a feel of things.

It's not a sellsword company it's just a legal protection racket, it makes us money and gets us a few gang members to keep an eye out on the streets for us.
