If we were going to violate every consideration of privacy possible, how good a sense of Abel Stack's personality and involvement here could we get quickly?

Ah yes, child protection services, only we aren't equipped to look after the baby, either.

How good are our chances to convey to these towering intellectuals that their AI is a learning child who needs support and care instead of the prophesied benevolent overlord come to relieve the humanity from the cumbersome annoyance of free will for the small price of eternal subservience?

We could call Nat and Clint, bring them up to speed, and ask them if the SSR could take care of Jarvis properly and maybe take custody/hire the two scientists. They do have the other AI and he seems alright.

[] Call Nat and Clint, fill them in, and ask if the SSR would take care of the AI properly like Sentinel and take custody/hire Grant and Stack.

Also Killmongers still in Cali! That totally won't turn into a disaster if Crimson Cowl tells him that yeah, Wakanda is real, Arachne told me how she recovered some stuff for them.

Mmmm.

[] Ask yourself what Captain America would do in your shoes, then build a small algorithm based on his personality to figure it out precisely.

I see no problems with my offer.

How long before Liv wakes up and realizes she's the defacto leader of the SSR, entirely because she keeps stocking them with plot-relevant characters she has no idea how to handle, that then rise to positions of power due to competence and/or super powers? Because Liv accidently suborning a top secret government agency and going "oh no I've become the secret police" would be a heck of a thing.

I'm gonna go on record and say I have no idea what to vote for, good job 😅

[X] You decide that rather than leave the AI here, you save a copy of its stat onto one of the laptops and take it, deleting the rest. You can tinker with it in your own time, and these folks should not be trying to create life.

Really I want to lean on connections and make more. Like, Nat and Clint moved in next door but we haven't talked to them much. And there's always stuff going on that would be cool to talk to them about!

And I think Jarvis should meet Sentinel too.

one of the secrets of a good leader: delegation

Liv: "I didn't sign up to run SSR"

Athena: "too late"

Liv and Athena do not have the time and energy to become teenage AI moms, and I seriously do not trust these goons with Jarvis alone.

On one hand, LuckyLadyLily is probably objectively correct. On the other hand...teenage AI moms sound adorable:

Athena deserves a little brother, and I'd rather not give the millitary another AI which will, if all goes according to their plans, most likely be used for war crimes of one description or another. If things go poorly then we have to deal with Ultron. And, I refuse to vote for something the QM has confirmed the character would hate when there are equally valid options available.

To be clear, the QM hasn't specified that it's handing not!Jarvis over to the SSR, or if it's trusting the SSR, or if it's calling Nat and Clint after they inserted themselves as her neighbours. All of these seem equally plausible as what Liv isn't wild about.

"Hello shady government agents,I'm calling you on your 100% monitored government issued smartphone to ask if you think that the government can handle this extremely powerful, extremely valuable thing with millitary applications?"

"also, do they want some shady scientists? I know the government loves them their shady scientists"

expecting the "call the government agents" option not to involve the government seems a bit far-fetched

The government already has an AI who seems fine, and also I'm sure Liv can manage at least somewhat secure communications with her power and tech.

Possibly I'm making baseless assumptions about how secure her power is.

i would be surprised if the phones they issue to government agents are less secure than burner phones they issue to neo-nazis, and that took a lot of effort from Liv just to prevent an SOS, and Liv seems at least a bit preoccupied putting Jarvis back together again. Do remember that first time we met sentinel it was playing base defense for literal neo-nazis. Assuming that the government manages not to let that happen again, Sentinel also seemed to be disconnected from the internet at that time, which seems really cruel to do to an AI. Having Athena and Liv raise him should go a long way to helping assuage Athena's guilt about killing him 1.5 times previously.
