Terrene Spire - Gently ended.

So I saw this had updated, which reminded me of how cool the animation for the vessel of grief had been, so I went back to its first or second attack, saved the gif, and deleted everything except it on every frame (deleting most of the dice frames since without the dice they're just standing there.), and slowed it down a bit. having look it over without the background and slower, I am fairly confident that dex did about 6.72 times better then I would have if going for the same thing, and probably in a third of the time. I am impressed at this. this is also probably the fourth time I've found an additional reason to be impressed about dex's skill.
The result of that, if anyone's curious:

So, another random update, more waiting.

I am in another depressive haze. I have no motivation to do anything, im just sitting still, playing games with a grind so I can feel SOME semblance of progress, however small that glimmer may be. I feel worthless because I cannot make myself work on things.

The people I talk to are very kind to me, saying that it's part of the sickness, but I just feel like a lazy slob of an asshole.

Sorry for my lack of progress, sorry for, all of this madness.

That's true. No matter how much we do or are told we're appreciated, we're good, things are going well, there's reason to celebrate!, and so on, depression just makes it feel like... it isn't.

So I'm just going to say I hope that haze passes quickly, and we're all here for you.
 
It's cool, sometimes we aren't very productive in general and when it comes to writing that can be due to tons of reasons that is none of the author's fault.

Just take your time and let it flow naturally. We shall wait patiently and cheer you on the sidelines.:)

No worries, man. We're not so impatient that we'll be upset that you need to take a bit of extra time to get out of this funk, because I'll still be here ready to read your next awesome work.

I'm kind of in the same place, actually; weeks of wheel-spinning without actually getting anything done, and disappearing into the Internet to escape the sense of failure. Hope we both get out of it, soon.
 
Dex and GardenerBriareus, you're both doing great! I really hope things turn around for you guys, and despite whatever it might feel like right now you are awesome people!

    Considering that it's us, then yes there is something we can do about that.

    Remember, Zest is our Main character, but he isn't, well, an empty husk, for lack of a better term.

    He's his own man, ghost, thing, that just so happens to be made by our existence and a not so insignificant chance of random fucking luck.

    We're the lower brain functions to his self consciousness if that makes sense? It's just that we can override what he wants and what he would decide to do on his own if we force it hard enough.

    The problem is that forcing it turns the poor bastard into what basically amounts to a braindead robot with a speech impediment.

    Thing is, when Dex Zest gets puppetted you can see that see of symbols, Yes?
    That is, as you know, us.
    The voice lords.
    We normaly don't have teeth, those are the wraiths.
    Wraiths are currently puppeting Dex Zest while we float around our baby boi.
    Atleast that is my interpretation

    That is slightly confusing. Because, y'know, as players, or voice lords, it's goign to be a real struggle to try limit ourselves. But what happens if we get too many players? Will Zest conk out with every update? D: Is there a way to contact Daeva inside the fortress?

    yeah but im concerned of this happening constantly if there's too many voters. which, considering how popular the quest is, could be entirely possible.

    that and i'm not sure we're fully aware of what the other forum dex posts this quest on is voting
