Terrene Spire - Gently ended.

I absolutely loved the part where he's playing with the color wheel to highlight who's talking. It made me laugh.

Also, a bit more evidence that they're the same person - after all, changing 'Iggy''s color, also changed Daeva's. :p

Okay, what stroke of idiocy made the higher-ups approve of that? Or are there higher-ups for our two talking heads?

I think it's pretty obvious why we lost, ;)
clearly the other doesn't have a sense of humor otherwise we would have been invicible :p

Hey Dex, updates like these are worth the wait! Even if it doesn't seem like it's pushing the story forward a whole lot, these ones are a great way of providing exposition for Igrieibrus, and the whole Orange faction in general! Not to mention, little Iggy is so cute and hilarious :lol

We can still post contest entries right? Well have I got some surprises for you.

I'm still experimenting with color styles so sorry if they look weird.

Hey! It's the pot Eishalon. But why doesn't it look like an Eishalon? Remember how I thought it'd be cool for Zest to have a living backpack friend? Well now I get another chance.

Vass here is a rather greedy and moopy individual who can't help but take something it believes to be useful, and it believes anything it can hold to be useful. They will lend out something it took so long as you promise to give it back and will continue to follow you around until you do. May have been a ghost that possessed a funeral urn but they no longer remember. None of them do.

Why oh why did I color it Green? Was I not being creative? Anywho the Big Fat Friend is back in all its glory.

Should I have added more hands? I should have added more hands.
None. For right now at least. If I have some more down time I might add the Spider and Horse in.

An elder Ordgrown of some large forest or another. While a bit more ridged than in his green days he still has an oakly left hook and a ton of fruity knowledge.

And puns. He really likes puns. They tend to grow on you after awhile.
I had so many last time I didn't feel like making another. I might though, there's still two weeks left.

Yes it's a crab and no it's not an actual 'Hermit' crab, that'd be too obvious. Shelled Hermits, as they are commonly referred to, tend to keep solitary lives in moist caves with little noise feeding off whatever gets caught in its 'beard'. Its tail is the most dangerous thing about it being as prehensile as a tentacle able to both craft and use weapons and tools.

Born together these two can never leave each others sides no matter how much they want to. For much of their lives they fight over food releasing strong magnetic waves that can keep them afloat in the air. Legends say that if one overpowers and consumes the other they transform into a creature of immeasurable beauty and strength.

I'll get around to doing some actual fan-art sooner or later. Though it may be later seeing as work and family have been a hassle recently.

@Dexexe1234 random question inspired by King_Rule!

Would some random merchant like NPC show up that shows up everywhere/slash follows us around so we can buy/sell stuff to them?

do we have currency
klog should probably cover currency in the tutorial video

Actually yes, though it's not always the same merchant! The wasteland doesn't have a proper infrastructure, so travelling merchants are actually commonplace, especially in areas with bigger villages!
I see.

Still was kinda expecting some merchant to realize we kill stuff and can't always take all the loot so follows us around to scavenge whatever we don't take while always doing business with him when we want.

Am I to assume our loot may actually prove useful after all? Besides "acquired" items, what else might be usable currency?

Spectrum Shattered and there was Green

The ghosts of this faction emerged soon after the Red faction, and much like said faction, Green held disproportionate levels of Passion in their collective hearts. Unlike Red, however, who channeled that raw emotion into destructive forms like Rage, Green turned that feeling into Determination and Will to survive, nay, Thrive, in this new and foreboding environment. They pushed forward into the untamed wilds and made it their own, leaving civilization and life in their wake. Their towers reached the farthest, their walls held the strongest, and their forms held the firmest. What they lacked, however, was caution, and that was their downfall in the end.

@Dexexe1234 Here's my contest entry!

Character Profile: Umbra Noir, AKA "Old Man Noir"

Spectrum Shattered and there was Black. The Black faction is unusual among the ghost factions in that there is only one ghost in this faction, a ghost named Umbra Noir. As the only Black Ghost that has ever existed, he contains the power of an entire color in the body of one ghost, and as a result is almost unimaginably powerful. His shell is a completely pitch-black mannequin wearing a suit and tie, and he walks with a cane, the only sign of his advanced age. Even ghosts can age after going enough time without reviving, their ectoplasm beginning to shrivel without the renewal of their faction's sarcophagus. This makes him rather weak in terms of physical ability, though he makes up for his with fearsome darkness and shadow manipulation powers, shields of black magic, and the unusual ability to leech the life force from attackers. He carries his surprisingly light coffin everywhere he goes.

Umbra, despite his color having connotations of darkness and death in the eyes of non-ghosts, actually isn't that bad a person. He is known to be cordial and polite, and is a master of staying calm even in the most desperate situations. He tends to use his life-leeching powers to eliminate foes non-lethally, putting them into a short coma. It's perhaps because of his serene nature that he hasn't turned into an Eishalon yet, despite being alive for over 10,000 years without interruption.

However, he does have his flaws. After thousands of years of continued success, he has begun to become overconfident in his powers. He tends to underestimate his opponents, which once resulted in his sarcophagus being critically damaged. Furthermore, after meeting thousands upon thousands of ghosts that not only conformed to type, but all wanted to kill him simply for not belonging to their faction, Umbra has grown suspicious and distrustful of all other ghosts, even abridging his "non-lethal takedown" rule for them, since they can just come back from the dead. Zest will have a hard time allying with this curmudgeon, and if he doesn't choose his words carefully, he could get a shadowy tendril through the chest.

To add to this, while Old Man Noir still retains much of his cordial charm, something has been eating away at him. Namely, his days are numbered. Remember when I said that his sarcophagus was critically damaged? That was the result of a massive Red assault on his faction stronghold, the Palace of Night, 500 years ago. The Red soldiers, while individually weak compared to his magical might, were a force to be reckoned with in large numbers. They managed, after sustaining massive casualties, to drive him away from his own fortress, forcing him to teleport out of the area. With the Palace of Night at their mercy, they burned the elegant building to the ground. HIs sarcophagus was the only thing that survived the blaze, and it was damaged to the point where it was doubtful it could handle another revival. With his stronghold burnt to the ground, and a damaged sarcophagus, Umbra has been roaming the world, searching for something, anything that can fix the Black faction's sarcophagus. Eventually, his ectoplasm will degrade into nothing, and his halo will lay on the ground, silent. And that's if something else doesn't do him in first; while he may be the most powerful single ghost, there are things more powerful than even him.

The rest of the world waits in terror for Noir to finally give up his fruitless quest, for if he does, the Eishalon that will be born will eclipse all others in power to such an extreme degree that it could threaten the entire planet.
