Taking the Mickey: A Save Disney Quest

Yknow, I thought about the real EPCOT and I've come to the conclusion that it should be developed sufficiently to make disney world Florida theoretically 100% self sustaining. Further, I think we should make at least one such EPCOT per disney world adjacent to said disney world. Then, I think we should make well on the promises of the EPCOT(specifically expandability and upgradeability) with newer theory(modularity, sustainability, and self sufficiency) and make sure these projects see great expansion.

Officially this is to have a constant self sustaining revenue covering company costs so we can better fuel expansion in am endless loop fulfilling peak capitalism as we were hired to.

Unofficially I just like the idea of the Walt Disney corporation becoming a deadass megacorporation and being capable of succession and nationhood though without any desire to actually succeed or form meaningful statehood. Extra unofficially I wanna have sufficient disney worlds that the disney world network has supply chain from mine to skyscraper down set so we dont even need trade.

Do I actually want to ever become the disney nation state? No, i wanna keep the world from getting bad enough for that to actually make sense.

Do I want to be able to? Yes.

I think that's everything? To be honest, I personally don't really want to do I Have Altered the Deal yet, but since people seem to really want to try it.... Cutting Edge Hurricane Proofing isn't really time sensitive since hurricane season is over, so it can wait until next turn. Don't forget to keep looking for a good location in Europe!

No one appears to have had any objections or alternate ideas they would want me to adopt, so I will present the plan as is. The rationale is here if you missed it.

Damn the timezones. I just woke up. While I like your plan @PyrrosWarrior I think that we need to take an interest in Don's ideas too. Throwing together my own prospective plan.

So, my big thing is that right now "I have Altered the Deal" is a prohibitively high DC, and we're in a holding pattern at the moment. I'd rather get some other things done, and go back to the negotiation table with the unions once the timeframe that they chose has elapsed, and start things off fresh. It's already going to seem like an afterthought to them, and frankly I'd rather deal with something else right now. I'm also skipping the Hurricane stuff for Wet and Mild because it gives us a lowered DC, and we're out of Hurricane season for the moment. We also need to address the elephant in the room that is Exxon after our huge swing behind Solar Energy.

I also want to work harder to bring Eisner in as the real new face of Disney, someone that Walt would have actually picked himself. Thus Bringing Back the Magic. I also want to get John Cooke on as an adviser. As well as take advantage of the relationship with Universal that we managed to open up.

You really should at least do a refurbishment choice. The rides were hit by a hurricane and are rather low on reliability for how popular they are.

My plan is going to avoid activity in Reedy Creek as much as possible because of the malus. -15 is not game-breaking, but it's not fun. We can let things settle there before focusing on them again.

One quarter of rides resting at low reliability will not be the end of everything, and perhaps a board goal will be to refurbish them all, making something we wanted to do anyway a board goal is always nice.

That largely means spamming movie and TV actions, for now. Focus can return to Reedy Creek and its parks when the hurricane's effects are gone

I'm pretty sure the malus is there because the rides need refurbishment so badly, and because of the damage from the hurricanes is still lingering. We need to make repairs and uplifts in order to get rid of the malus. Letting it linger will likely lead to the malus getting worse.

The malus is there due to ongoing clean up efforts and activity to assess damage, double-checking everything to make sure that nothing load bearing got hit by a stray piece of debris in a not-obvious location. It will be gone next turn.

Narratively, Slynnwyn said that the swamps are still settling which makes even planning hard there, I got the impression it was an inherently temporary thing. No sense mucking about in the mud when we can just wait for it to dry.

Let's ask, shall we? @Slynnwen , will the Hurricane Elena malus go away next quarter regardless or do we need to make some repairs?

I hope that there won't be any catastrophic incidents because of the low reliability.

I would like to point out that if your logic for not taking Hurricane proofing is because hurricane season is largely over, you may as well not take Wet and Mild and use the action for something else. Hurricane proofing is still the more efficient option due to autocompleting Wet and Mild when finished, so if hurricanes don't bother you, just don't take Wet and Mild this turn for maximum action efficiency.

Wet and Mild has applications beyond hurricane proofing, that can be put in place with our various water rides and allow them to be more efficient and safe.

You were just told that hurricane proofing also gives you wet and mild, so you really can't argue that Hurricane Proofing won't give you what you want. No if you don't want to handle the DC just say it, lol.

As I said though, it is still more action-efficient to put it off until Hurricane Proofing doesn't have the malus (though my plan counteracts the malus with the personal focus). Taking Wet and Mild just wastes our preciously limited actions.

Okay, sorry, didn't mean to be coming across with circular logic. Yes, I want to lower the DC, in order to take it on later during the leadup to Hurricane Season.

-[] The Cutting Room Floor: The live action department just released a massive flop. Maybe you should take a more personal hand in these matters, and help with some of the editing. May be taken once per film. Current film: "One Magic Christmas" {LIVE-ACTION}

I think we should take this just to keep the Live Action Studio going. I also think we don't need to make a push for the Oscars with Black Cauldron, but with the upcoming Roger Rabbit.

If you explain your logic further about your prioritization, I am open to dropping Oscars for that action.
