Super Robot Quest G

Oh my.
I want to know how much Valiant works with antigravity and Faedum. I think Mercury V/Grand will love some of that secret sauce, too.

Things are going to heat up. And looks like another mad scientist like Sheol is joining the flay against the Union as well.

But thankfully Yukimura Institute and Mander are both upgrading and Ground Pound is finally nearly gotten their superrobot in operational state.

I just realized that with the appearance of probably another Mad Scientist on the bad guy side. We are going to have to start planning on building a 5th and 6th Super robot and accompanying platoon within the next few in game years.

Devin: Trade Offer
You recieve Faedium and Anti-Grav. I recieve Electromagnetic Tech Tree
Not going to happen. Electromagnetic tech is Mander's primary advantage against the Westphalians. Just like with Yukimura. They will not share theire secrets with us and vice versa. Now if Mander had a minor tech that he doesn't mind sharing. that might work as a good trade but no way will any of the three groups share their primary tech tree's.

Yukimura has the Aeon particals, Mander has the Electromagnetic tech, and the DFRI has the K-scale tech.

Grand Mercury gonna turn into the Great Mazinger Equivalent and Valiant looks like to get something silly like a VF form or something maybe.

Armsrace do be fun like that.

Makes me wanna lean more into the psychic stuff and the combination thing since thats our OG Donut Steel.

K-materials are just generous donations from our fellow mad scientist.

Nah. Just give the tech to Mander and Yukimura. At least we know they wouldn't leak em to our enemies and we need Valiant and Mercury to be the best they can be for the shitshow that is approaching as things escalate.
This might actually be the best idea. We can't say they haven't earned it. Though I don't know if antigrav would be all that useful for a smaller robot like Valiant. Maybe the MMI stuff instead.

Well, we strongly suspected... pretty much the whole time, but now we've got OOC confirmation: Armistead is working for Westphalia. At best as a double-agent waiting to see who comes out on top, at worst as a True Believer.

We've got names for Ground Pound's pilots. Probably just surnames at the moment, but we have something to call them now. And their robot becomes more Getter every time we see it.

I suspected we'd be seeing Yukimura working on a Great Mazinger equivalent in one of the offered interludes; nice to know we've got confirmation! Question is, will he be transferring Hiroki to it and keeping V as a backup, scrapping the original, upgrading the original to Grand Mercury, or finding a new pilot so he can deploy both at once? ...Questions to be asked later, when Grand makes its debut.

Mander's crew is cooking up something new, and he's considering consulting with us for it. Honestly, I'm concerned about whether we'll live up to the hype; EM shenanigans is their thing, we just dabble and brute-force using K-Class to make it work anyway.

...Hints at the end that Armistead might've deliberately overplayed to put us on alert, which pushes him a little towards the "double agent" end of the spectrum.

We already knew that Yuan was working under Pak and making all those Walkers, the bit about him being in a creative rut that he recently broke is new.

So as expected George is working with the west-whatever they are. Or at the very least playing both sides for his own benefit and shouldn't be remotely trusted.

I don't think there is a single person on this thread that doesn't trust Armstrong any more than we have, too or at all. But his current actions are confusing. Is he playing both sides? Is he under duress? Is he acting out of sheer greed? Is he working for someone else? We just don't know and there is no way for us to react since Armstrong's meeting was offscreen of the DFRI so they have no reason to be even more suspicious of him than they already are. We could probably use an advisor action to look into what Armstrong is doing but that would be a waste of resources since again Devlin has no reason to suspect that there is more going on there than he already does.

The faction name is a specific reference to the Treaty of Westphalia which is seen as a milestone in international relations and establishing the modern idea of national sovereignty.
Which is what I linked from wikipedia, yes.

Still, feeling need to repeat question:
Is Great Mercury pre-Impact design?

Given the phrasing, it's probable that he's a mad genius with a specialty in derivative work, which'd mean that the 'shackles' are referring to the floodgates opening on super robot projects. He was in a creative rut because the world was, in a sense.

The Saddle being bulky enough to limp home even after getting banged up sounds like it might be a good fit for making the Centurion models even more of a damage sponge.

And... my head decided to indulge on some crack theories and wondered if its possible to have the elite models come with hear knife treated K Fang helicopter blades that are hooked up with Bit/Funnel parts once the research on that progresses enough so they can pop off to be used as giant shuriken Leap Slashers since once it's used as an armor pack it won't need the propellers as much as it would in vehicular form.

It also means two of the big issues of funnels in general are taken cared of because the heliblades are already the weapon platform itself and it can coast along on centrifugal force as opposed to needing a dedicated engine system while keeping streamlined and without unnecessary bulk.

It's probably far off into the future but the mind wanders.

Giving Ichiro a 3 Triple Combination of Saddle and Sledder for His Combination form works. Incredibly Tough with Enough Agility from the Saddle so it isnt too slow.

Ideally I'd like to put something else on him too (like that drill I've been so fascinated by), but as a bare minimum a Sledder with a Saddle worn over it should work.

All I'll say is that whatever combination configurations we give to Ichiro, at least one of them (that probably also has a robot mode) needs to be passed on to a Legionnaire, so that they can pull off the Transformers staple of Optimus getting powered up by combining with one of his teammates.
I don't know if Herald is officially Galbinus's 2IC, but he hasn't chosen an alt-form yet, so would he be willing to do something like this?

Legionnaires take what they want without our input so there's no real way to do that unless they ask for it in game.
True, but given the Genre, I think the odds are high that one of them will eventually ask for it, given Axiom's success rate.

Also, @Basarin, slight discrepancy. Your latest post put Dr. Dinym's first name as David, but I found an old post that had his first name as Marcus. Which one is correct?
