Or we could do the missile upgrade tech instead and then the following turn do Psytech in one go with the free point.

Might also work, not necessarily against it. Depending on things it's an order of operations question. But I suppose that if we're worried about any attacks/etc it might make sense to do the Missile Upgrade first, and then a point (plus free point) of Psytech, rather than Psytech +1, Psytech +1 and Free Missile.

Battlegroup? Or maybe another research.

We'd want to wait until the Heavy Cruiser design is done to do so, because we're getting a hell of a fucking discount!

I'd still advocate for Destroyer Automation just so that we can have a constant trickle of ships reinforcing our escort and SDF forces. Even if we're above the general level where individual destroyers are particularly useful, it can't exactly hurt to keep them rolling out to bolster second and rear line positions.

I was thinking about this earlier, it might actually be useful to design a new, stealthier scout destroyer and just let that tick so we're constantly filling in better scouting needs.

I think it's somewhat due to the fact that we're now evaluating strength relative to a SBG now, but we don't really have a complete SBG so everything looks weaker than it is

I feel like this wouldn't be entirely logical, but... I guess I actually do need to know this one way or another for planning purposes, so @HeroCooky what is the sitch?

(Either way we should definitely fill out the SBGs because it's a 2/1 deal, essentially! Good action economy!)

Scorpios and Battlecolonies are Line Holders at present, we need the Production Model Leo before it'll be ready to go, but it will be very fucking good once we field it, even if we push ahead before we have Autoloader standard--there aren't a lot of powers out there that can stand up to something rocking rapid fire Heavy Macrocannon fire being delivered from a very angry ship at uncomfortably close range.

That aside, hoo boy, we really get to see how an SBG puts us in the Big Leagues locally, the amount of forces that can challenge an SBG in this Sector that we can see can be counted on one hand.

Even Gigachad can't compete!

(Lone Wave remains an absolute meme though. What are they even doing)

Abyssal Eye is interesting too, looks like a moon orbiting a Rogue Planet, which often contains some Very Interesting Bits and Bobs simply because they're the best place to hide things in.

I think we should do the missiles first becuase we are doing refits, and we might want to squeeze in the missile upgrade now instead of in the next cycle.

The only Design action that's critical to do ASAP is the production model Leo. @HeroCooky , if you're still around, if we do the Tech Trade on the same turn we design the Production Model Leo, will it benefit from the bonuses? I just want to figure out some Order of Operations nonsense.

Is there a post anywhere on the different civilizations that we've made contact with? I notice that there's a Discovered Species post (which contains some information on their civilizations), but it's also missing, like, every human polity that we've encountered.

Is it me or has the threat level of most enemies been somewhat downgraded?
They have been "graded more accuraterer" rather than "downgraded" since there was confusion if Stronger/Weaker Than referred to a Task Fleet, Navy, or both.

Now you have an actual benchmark to look at and compare stuff to!
There's a new system and planet in Irridanus. Is there anything special about it that we know, @HeroCooky ?
It is a planet around a black hole, and has the right gravity and minerals for colonization. Nothing special besides that.

...as far as you know.

No.

We'll want to go for Civ Inf XV soon, but not next turn - next turn we must absolutely take a Voxx Primus action or our enclave will be eliminated and all our progress lost. So I'm switching ISC.

The problem is that Civ 12 is unstable - as soon as we integrate Voxx or anywhere else we'll lose some of that progress.

Not saying we shouldn't switch and focus on other things for a turn, but I badly want to switch back at some point to get that XV progress and nail down the milestone before we backslip.

No.

Ah, so we'd need to colonize it before finding out if it has anything of Actual Value.

On the other hand, a science outpost in a stable orbit around a black hole is probably going to be capable of producing some Very Interesting Science, huh?
