[ ] Plan: Cleanse the Pirate filth
-[] [General] Develop The Federations'...
--[ ] Medical Services II
-[] [General] Research:
—[] Sanctified Chaos Investigations
-[] [Military] Begin Military Operations
--[ ] OPERATION: NIGHT QUEEN
---[ ] TEMPORARY FLEET ADJUSTMENTS: Assign 3x Celestial Choirs to guide our Libras with Task Fleet Alpha, leave 2x Aries-S to escort any Lamenter assets when the time has come to start boarding. Assign 5x Crux to Task Fleet Alpha making use of the extra space we've won from this shuffle to get to 11x Crux-class Frigates in our assault force
---[ ] Task Fleet Alpha, carrying the First and Third Droman SAGs
----[ ] OBJECTIVE: The removal of the pirate presence in End of Line, and the repurposing of its infrastructure to serve the Star-Child.

Huh, well it was a bit pie in the sky for us to get anything like I talked about out of a single action. Still good changes all around tbh.

Time to double invest in medical and punch out end of the line this turn.

Our dudes still got a decent upgrade without breaking the bank. More options with the mainline rifle, some strength enhancement on their armor, and gear suited for our Yeeni friends too.

A lot of AP involved in stepping up further, but we can see the path now, even if it's a bit chonky.

I don't know, do we @HeroCooky ?
You generally do need to ask people if they want to join you in kicking down some doors to smash pirate booty, yes.

Honestly, I'd rather wait on Fighters/Bombers until we've gotten the Ion Shields researched
They already do, that research is for figuring out how to apply Ion Shields to smaller vehicles and to make limited man-(or rather: Ogryn-)portable generators for infantry forces.
Wait, I think this is a mistake here. We should have 11x Crux's since we had 5x of them last turn. Unless you mean to say that the other x5 Got Lost In the Warp for some reason.
They got shunted off to Task Fleet Beta as you don't have the free ship capacity to guide them through the Warp with your Andromeda'.

Ah, good to know all that. I'll add an invite for them to join in, and the whole temporarily assigning Choirs thing works too, right? At least for our Light Cruisers?

Still need another Andromeda, but "Good Enough" is the way to go here. The point is having the First Wave be cohesive and able to break their resistance, while the Second Wave isn't quite as required to show up in the same place once the First Wave's dealt with their mobile forces.

limited man-(or rather: Ogryn-)portable generators for infantry forces.

Hahahaha, That is amazing. Are we talking Big enough to only cover the ogryn, Or would the shield be able to cover a small area around him?
Either way, that sounds positively disgusting, and I love it. Ah yes, You killed the first ogryn with Ion shield, but can you kill the other 4 before they beat your face in with their hybrid Club/Shotguns

You mean the Strikecraft whatnots already have Ion Shields? Or do you just mean that Ion Shields are already researched?

Probably.

No, they'd still need to be set up. They are not personal shields they can use while fighting. Think deployable shields set up by a specialist rather than Mass Effects shields.

The first. That's how they don't get immediately vaporized into slag and shrapnel the micro-instance they are hit by anything.

Useful.

Are we still using Furies and Starhawks for our Fighters/Bombers? If that's the case, are we using Thunderhawks or Sharks for Assault Boats when we get to those?

That's still Really really cool. Paired up with Crew served weaponry and a small engineering team and you can have a dangerous dug out set up in a few minutes flat, let alone the fact that an ion Shield that can be set up is just good for any kind of defensive action.

Every time I look at the ever-expanding tree of knowledge and its fruits growing higher and higher out of reach, I (lightly, partially) regret not taking the Binary Screeching and it's auto-research effect.

3 actions are the bedrock constraint for us, only occasionally and temporarily broken. Anything that gives us actions, even if only a semi-random action, is like a miracle from the Star Child.

the Morale-Boosting Plushies given to Ogryn have been reinforced, made tear-resistant, are now easily washable with only the use of a bowl of water large enough to hold the plushy, and were given names to improve the morale-boosting effects for the Ogryns.
imagine if the novel and experimental weapons (or armor) upgrades make the plushies viable blunt force weapons for the ogryns

i can't wait for when a chaos space marine of khorne gets domed in the head by a plushie and dies

Well, we might get something like it but better from more infrastructure (5 offered that, 10 might have something better).
Or something like it from spreading our mechanicum.

Also still eyeing a song of "unity, logic, creativity". That just gotta do something for our research.

I personaly think that we should wait with that until we get the implants to make Ogryns' not newborn stupid

No, they are given the box of grenades as standard. The upgrade is that they throw the box harder to the point the grenades actually trigger.

Not correct. They're issued boxes of grenades, but the Ogryn can't be trusted to actually take them out or remember to arm them, so the grenades are actually just grenade-colored weights. So no valuable explosives are wasted.

The upgrade is that the Ogryn has shown themselves to have the intellectual capacity to arm the grenade box before throwing them. So the grenade colored weights are replaced with actual grenades, bringing the joke full circle.
