Either way, broadly speaking, I'm looking at a dual Prow Lance + Pure Lenses combination, then Armored Prow and either improved shields or improved acceleration. Probably going to call it the Gemini-class in light of that. This is not a brawler, this is a sniper/artillery platform, it should be armored enough to withstand the occasional lucky shot from a long range, and shielded enough to survive counter-battery fire, but if it's taking serious damage, we have a bigger problem. The question is if we want it to be better at retreating from an unfavorable matchup, or better at holding its ground and continuing to shoot.
Still, we need a fort-cracker if we want to take that thing without overwhelming losses, we don't have anything heavily armed enough to do that. A design action is appropriate, and higher priority IMO. Our medical is under strain but not yet beyond our ability to cope, but we're stuck in and lives are at stake right now, and half the reason they're losing ground is because that Mega Rok keeps spitting out fresh new ships.
NGL I'm hesitant over going all-in on a double prow lance without any sort of secondary self-defense weapons. If we're designing this to be a relative specialist focusing on long-range lance bombardment while kiting away from things, I feel like we could get away with 1 prow lance and an emergency self defense light lance battery, with Pure Lenses and as much extra maneuverability as we can slap on there.
I understand the logic behind Armored Prow but it feels kinda counterintuitive for the proposed role and purpose-I feel like Superior Gravimetric Engine Calculations would be a better investment for this budget firestorm, especially if we want to go all-in on the Speed and pump up its Acceleration to 7 gravitied at the cost of length and width. Tho doing so would cost us Armored Escape Pods and Alloy Hull.
[X] [Plan] Helpful AssistanceNot reward, but bribe! They want out, and are willing to make the change of power smooth and easy. Just sign the dotted line and build a single ship for them to fly away...
if there no change to our medical durning the time when we put point into annexing them(unlikely) it will be -2 by the timeHow low will our Medical be when we annex them ?
Because now we can't but next turn should be possible as we will pump more ships there
Yes, same as yours. Not as fast when broken, but gradually while not being under fire. Same as yours.
Wut? No, you'll be at -2.if there no change to our medical durning the time when we put point into annexing them(unlikely) it will be -2 by the time

smugness of editing speed you fool for I, edited my post so quick thou quoted the edited post without notitcing! evil laugh
You'll be firing at a mobile space station equivalent, how that works within the maths on your end is up to you.Right, and two prow lances should be strong enough to punch through and keep doing damage faster than the recharge, as long as the target is big and not moving?
Do they also have better range than normal Lances or is it just a pure power difference?

And Prow Lances have double the range, but, again, they are the slowest to fire. Think minutes to a Lance's ~20 seconds.
Torpedoes, Missiles, Plasma Macro-Cannons, Boarding Torpedoes, Boarding Craft, etc.Hmm, noted.
Do we have any real options to suppress shields at range, or is it just "Pack Lances or Go Home?"
I was confused for a moment there.@HeroCooky is the CBC fine giving them their frigate at the same time we put the last point into the final stage of the integration of Corcrat?
ohhh so we don't need to spend a seperate action frigate design to give to them got it. That makes things far easierI was confused for a moment there.
No, you will do the three Actions, that will give them the Frigate and you the system. Think of it as paying down a house, but only being able to use it after you paid it all.
