[X] The Offer Was Accepted

On one hand the Eldar are the sort to sacrifice billions of human lives if it saves a thousand of their own kind. On the other they aren't trying to micromanage us and just giving us a general objective to focus on. An objective we were already strongly considering.

Ultimately I say accept but be wary of further requests. At the very least their battleship will save naval assets in the short term. Though it is good they'll have more air support with the troop-ship...

huh got no idea what we could have doing wrong tbh, it def not focus enough on faith maybe not doing enough psykana stuff?(not directed at u hero cooky tbc more a general thought to thread)

I am personally betting we didn't ramp up enough military strength. We probably would've exhausted our naval strength in this recent battle if they hadn't intervene or worse case we would've lost.

.. if this is doing it Wrong, I'm not sure what would be Right. As it stands, it feels like we're barely staying ahead of all of these existential threats.

On the other hand, the Imperium would gleefully sacrifice billions of human lives to kill a few Xenos. And most of the humans Eldar fuck over are Imperials that in many other circumstances would want them exterminated for the crime of existing.

Not to say they won't fuck us over, but there's the possibility they won't. Question is, what Craftworld do they hail from?

Pretty sure it's "wrong things not to get noticed", not "wrong things (you're objectively bad at the game)".

Basically, we're not acting like generic, boring Imperials, so the Eldar are coming to look what's going on.

I still called the full attack and the subsequent opening we got out of repulsing it, the Battleship just made it bloodless and cheap, but the broad outline fits my projections, which is why I take credit for calling the timeline and preparing to exploit the opening.
I'm not sure that opening would exist if the eldar hadn't intervened.

Without eldar intervention, we'd have taken far more losses here, and would take even more trying to invade the system. Most likely, that damage and risk would have been enough to cause players to vote against any kind of invasion.

Even moreso when the Council was informed by the assigned Kil'drabi liason Dreamer of Bright Paths that Farseer Farruin had contacted them too and offered words of warning against allying with humans and sticking around for longer than they absolutely must.
Similarly, for all we know this is a Cunning Eldar Plan to make the Kil'drabi stick with us because they know the Kil'drabi will be distrustful of the Eldar's motives for telling them this and deciding to stick around out of spite. Who the fuck knows what any given Farseer is cooking up at any given point in time.

Only reason I would refuse the Eldar is if we suspected they are a Deldar party pretending to be Craftworld trying to trick us into opening up for a backstab. But that's probably unlikely since a Deldar party finding and figuring out we're worth trolling to death is unlikely compared to a Farseer seeing all the shit we get up to and deciding to mess around.

At the absolute worst moving with the Eldar timetable could do is maybe 'coincidently' right when we leave to go on the attack our system gets hit by behind from Orks taking the system behind us but that's a bit of a reach
