For all planners. Add these to the votes...well the latter two. The first one is optional but the last two will be good for us. The second so that we don't have to do intro to Black Ash/pick a planet that we want to get more along with. The third to pick a planet that isn't a diplomatic incident waiting to happen lol

With the threat of Chaos banished, for the moment, Mothome is nothing less than a planet shrouded in the gale of souls seeking vengeance, succor, and worse things yet, both in the Materium and Immaterium, with the Divine Beast working for months on end to purge the last holdouts of Ruin from this world. Ever Cult is found and put to the torch, every obstacle destroyed, and more than one nation or "Empire" of the Mothrame, as the native aliens call themselves, finds itself on the wrong end of the might of either the Divine Beast or the SAGs of the Glimmering Federation until they all know that they are not the ones in control for the moment.
Holy hell this went deeper then I thought it did! So this was a build up with a vast network of cults doing it as opposed to a single nation/empire falling to chaos and trying to conquer the world or just turn into a deamon world. Seriously months of the Divine Beast or the SAG's of purging every cult and all. Damn this was widespread and only barely averted.
And yet, all purges must end, and the end of this purge falls on the last day of this world's cycle, where it slips from one sun to another, warmth returning to the people and soils upon this world. And with that warmth come the diplomats and Choirs of the Federation.
They do not come bearing gifts.
They come bearing swords and lessons.
The Mothrame are given two choices; learn from their betters and be guided unto a future where they need not be put to the pyre for the good of all, or refuse and have their future be built upon the ashes of those who refused.
Many choose to learn, too shocked and intimidated by the might of the Glimmerlings to refuse. Some, however, do not.
Yah this is certainly turning the trope on its head with how first contacts goes with the aliens coming down to save your bacon and souls and come bearing swords and lessons to protect your souls and not make dumb dumb decisions like this again. Honestly given the seemingly Eastern Culture paired with the ranks and monk warriors, I think this does fit in easier then I thought for them.
Oh well, those that didn't are history now.... Dang it, now I want to see power armored Moth Warrior Monks. I'm getting Ikko Ikki vibes from Shogun Total war 2.
Those Lightsaber Naginatas were cool and I want to make them for the Templars or Space Marines.
Yet where the Glimmerlings on that world set about to teach and guide the Mothrame upon a better future for themselves, others seek out the Mashan to ask if they have any input or wisdom to give or spare for the Federation in the teaching and uplift of a species of iron-age aliens that nearly fell to Chaos entire.
Their answer nearly gives the space controllers of Lethysan heart attacks, two vessels no small than ten kilometers in radius appearing at the edge of the system, burning with white-hot plumes and bristling with weapons that would put an entire SBG to shame, gigantic worlds of metal and plasma, these titans of stellar engineering move faster than they ought to.
'These are not warships,' the Mashan leading this expedition explains. 'They are Wandering Libraries.'
And they requested the right to fly unto the world of Mothome and ensure that the lore and wisdom of that world and its peoples would be eternally recorded and inscribed while their scholars and scribes set about teaching those same peoples ways to ward off the grasp of Tainting Erosion.
Oh wow, yah I think that would have given ANYONE a heart attack when two 10 KM long vessels show up like that. And those are Wandering Libraries? holy shit they really put so many actions into education. I mean we did ask for their help and input in teaching a race not to fall to the taint of chaos and some uplifting. They certainly don't do things by halves. and as their nature, the chance to record a new species and world's knowledge and wisdom.
Also just remembered another Write-in we wanted to do I think. expand education again, not to the degree of the Mashan Temple Authority but funding and supporting for advanced research and teachings.
1. QM, Dare I ask how much went into the Wandering Libraries considering their size, speed, and weapons? and was that response because they heard the words 'Primative species nearly fell to chaos' and 'Help teach them'?

tch, didn't mange to increase that again, oh well can't complain about everything not upgrading. Three terraforming planets per AP is still better then the one to one.

-[] Habitat Stations (1/2 to Void Industry)
(Gain: +1 Void Industry every three Actions, enough living space for ~25 Billion people per Action. Unhoused: ~20 Billion.)
Oh holy shit, down to 2 actions for void Industry? I can't tell since it the reward part still says three there. we can easily get the void industry now.
-[] Safely Harmonized Cogitation Equilibrium
(Develop the means to allow multiple brains to communicate and act as a semi-coherent singular entity. Safeguards Included, thanks to New Dawn.)
Okay new tech anddddd this is hive minding it... granted this IS what we promised the Cogs back when we made the deal and it does include Safeguards due to the worries back then. I guess this would be following through on our deal. A bit worried how it can go though.
Oh the cheaper Noosphere Agumetics got folded in with the Grav Chute, Neat. I'd like to grab that soon to be honest since it is goo to grab both of them now.
OHHHHH ohohoho I'm not sure how to feel about this. Before it was fine but this seems like we're starting down the path of Stone Men again or the like.
2. QM can you tell us what the Automata would be or what we're going for here since we all know there isn't gonna be Stone Men or the like again?
Oh well shit. all reduced again. I think we should do both 0.5 weapons and armor to finally get new infantry weapons and armor and further our existing gear. I think the other major upgrade meant it so some of our weapons didn't need the battery packs anymore for the more energy intensive weapons and the like.
Also we can double the amount of SAG's again with just two AP with cheaper weapons and armor but I say wait until we actually need it.
and finally just one AP needed for a 1 DP equipment standardized. Autoloader cults this is your chance.
damn, was hoping it would drop again so it would only take 1 AP. oh well, I still think we make get another research after this, maybe one that gives more DP for designing frigates or the like? still able to produce frigates would be good.
HOLY SHIT WE CAN GRAB THE STC FOR 2 AP. Holy shit, I WOULD say to grab this now but honestly considering the research bonuses? I think we'll be fine, just grab whatever tech and use the banked research point to add to it. I'd also like to do diplomacy with the Black Ash Clan before we get swept up in Research Fever, just get that over and done with first.
Still given the STC fragment as a reward we got for checking if there was any survivors on an Ork infested World which was a Latern that messed with Chaos, the Karivorne Amgier, and one other thing I'm forgetting, I do think whatever is the STC fragment it will be worth it.
Hereteks Refuge - Reduce Research Cost by 20%, Rounded Up. +0.2 Research per Action Spent. Academic Publishing Institutes - +0.15 Research per Action Spent. [Song - 10x Choirs] - A Spark of Genius - +0.05 Research per Action Spent. The Horizon Program - (Ashan Families and Shipwright's Grove) - +0.2 Research per Action Spent.
Wait really? huh, I though it was higher but then I remember we often needed three research actions for that banked research point. So it was .4 per AP spent and now its .6 per AP spent. it got over the threshdhold and now its only two AP needed to get a banked research point. Good enough.

Whew, it didn't start on a new one yet. I would say use the free one to do the independent worlds in Macabre to keep the Office busy. Glad it wasn't auto assigned yet.
Oh wait minute, we can just use them to auto do the Black Ash Clan instead of spending an AP on it. I would rather we do the Black Ash Clan and Ashan Families actions while using the second relations on the Shipwrights grove to keep up progress on all fronts but that's just a suggestion.

YES! two SBG's for the price of one! honestly that makes a ton more sense then what I thought of at first where leaving the SBG's at 0.5 AP cost. Oh shit two nomadic Fleets as well, sweet.
So one AP for two standard SBG's or for two Anti-dutchy specialist fleets. this got so much fucking easier for us. So we just need to spend one AP here and maybe in a few turns to stay on top of things and able to do other things.... Honestly I think we can just do a full turn of SBG production and just be done with it for the next ten turns. what this would be at least 6 SBG's and might be 6 Anti-Dutchy Fleets.
[] [Faith] The "Gods" Of Mothome
The Mothrame are a new people yet untouched by the grace and light of the Star Child within their direct lives and worship, yet they, like most species likely do, have religions of their own. But where the religions of other, known species could be understood as centuries upon millennia growing upon traditions into dogma into blind faith or warming convictions, the faiths of the Mothrame are...too similar. The Yeeni themselves had dozens of religions, and it is only by careful pruning and teaching that the Droman Creed isn't splintered into thousands of Cults by the laypeople. But for the Mothrame, there are eleven Gods. Always eleven. Their aspects are similar, even if their names aren't. A dozen other things align too closely for it to be mere coincidence, alongside the fact that the surge of armies and soldiers trying to purge the taint of Chaos was, by their own accounts, ordered by their Gods, not themselves. To say that the Orthodoxy of the Droman Creed is in turmoil about this supposed long-term corruption via hidden daemons, or worse, warp spirits untainted by Chaos, would be to say that something touched by water is wet.
(Gain: A completed investigation into the "Gods" of the Mothrame.)
.....On one hand, it could be like the Spirits of Fenris type of situation, on the other it could be other shit. still the number Eleven keeps popping up so I think its worth it to look into it now. Add to the fact it was by the purge was ordered by the gods of the Mothrame makes it more confusing.

Primitive Automata. Like, Admech looks at them and says "primitive" primitive.
Before we do any Automata research, maybe we should ask the Star Child about it first? It might lead us down some wrong paths if we don't do this carefully.
I'm not sure what else could be done to prevent any future mishaps, maybe consecrate the words they'll be used on? Some yet undiscovered Psytech action? Cover their chassis in holy sigils?
EDIT: Oh, just saw the "Primitive" Automata, maybe it won't be that much of an issue until later.
Alright, with the confirmation that "Yes, actually, the Psykadameia will establish itself automatically", gimmie a sec to finalize something.

-[] [General] Develop The Federations'...

General thrust here is. "Get Psytech into our Research envelope, push Void Industry back up to X, then figure out what the deal with the moff spirits are and figure out how to integrate them into our theology, or if we need to break them." Alternately, we could double-tap Void Industry + Void Stations to push to XI, and make the push to XII less daunting (Especially if we can figure out a good path to upgrading Void Industry with a Song or something).
Next turn, the plan would be getting two LRADs, more habitats (Which'll also get us VI XI while also making sure we've got no space issues pending), and then we've got a flex for diplomacy.
Why not switch the Develop action here for Habitat Stations? Since it only takes one more action to finish that now, why do the base Develop action instead?
'These are not warships,' the Mashan leading this expedition explains. 'They are Wandering Libraries.'
And they requested the right to fly unto the world of Mothome and ensure that the lore and wisdom of that world and its peoples would be eternally recorded and inscribed while their scholars and scribes set about teaching those same peoples ways to ward off the grasp of Tainting Erosion.
I wonder if we can, as a free action, ask to also learn of any novel ways to ward off Taining Erosion. Sure, our faith is great for that, but another tool in our anti-Chaos toolbelt is always nice.

Primitive Automata. Like, Admech looks at them and says "primitive" primitive.
fair enough. As much as I want to fill out the board, upgrading the songs really does need to happen at this point. I'll change the melodies to some of the Travel songs because that is of greater importance and something we can afford now since we can just upgrade four melodies at once.
is that meaning to just spend the AP on the action there? or asking if it can be done? I'm pretty sure the QM stated we COULD do the first contact through the use of increased relations, just that it would take several turns.
Edit: uh, can anyone can me the run down for the melodies in the Warp Travel Song and the Communcation song? I'm not sure which ones are which.
I replaced the Melodies with Fire II, Home II, Unity II, and Humanity II. along with Song II, Sun II, and Protection II already there think that's it?

I am not sure if the planets we took are enough to completely absorb everyone but if there isn't then this should take it over the edge...and even if it doesn't it will, at the very least, take us back to Void X
Also 2 SBG per turn is frankly insane. I for welcome our automated overlords
Why the Ashan Families? We're already planning on continuing diplomatic actions with them and we still have the matter of the Black Ash Clan who we absolutely need to work on ASAP before they figure us out.
Ehhh while it is a good move, I kinda want to spend an action specifically on raising to Void X b/c we got some leniency for that, and I'm not sure that leniency will last if we raise it before hand through the space stations so I would prefer to do this next turn after we raise Void Industry up so we can save an action

It's 1 AP to raise to Void X, but it'll be 2 AP to raise to Void XI.
Spending an AP on Void X and then getting another habitat will give us Void XI for 2 AP, spending a habitat first will mean we need to spend 3 AP to get Void XI.
