As two 'Military Crew Bunks Simple' are the same cost and compartment use as a 'Military Crew Bunks Long Patrol' I don't think that's a good choice over actually fulfilling our customers requirements and adding another Turbolaser.

No two simple are not the same as long patrol. Only having a single means that the crew is cramp and forced to hot bunk which lowers morale and readiness. Also even if this plan was legal which it isn't it breaks the biggest requirement which is cost. We are past the weapons portion of the build you can't add them. And we already met the weapons requirement as the modified turbolaser already adds the needed extra firepower.

4 Light Laser Cannons doesn't mean four barrels are needed but four turrets.
The weapons requirement is for number of turrets which we don't have enough of. Not meeting the letter of our contractual obligations in terms of developing this corvette is worse then poor crew space.

The cost of my plan only comes out to 30 before we do any reductions with advantages so doesn't violate that requirement. However looking at the Turbolasers again it seems you are correct that the modification does add an extra turret compared to the original, see:

The requirements is for 25. 30 was them giving us enough rope to hang ourselves with. You don't want to have the cost pushed up. And again like I said the advantages are not a one for one. It will take several per reduction.
 
Could we please leave the weapons discussion where it is? You guy's had this discussion a few pages ago in an epic proportion, anything has been said. Also, please remain civil when discussing.

Generally speaking, I don't have a problem if Write-in option is added, but please run them by me first. In this chase, it is too late to add another weapon system to the ship. This is something that could be added with a refitted later or in an Mk. II vision of the Corvette.

Also, if you have questions about plans and if they are possible, you can always tack me and I will take a look.

Yeah, I think simple is better at this point. Let's give them a good gunboat, and if they want some missiles or tractors, we can make those later.

This plan fits best it avoids subjecting the crew to morale busting conditions while also giving a very good level of survivability.*


*The ship is already Highly Manueverable … so can dodge most heavy hits while the heavy shielding makes it able to survive glancing shots and debris impacts.

If they want the additional launcher we can add that in a later production run (When the Miniturized Weapon Generator Assembly is completed) as for a tractor beam... why would you want one on a Corvette? Its not like the ships big enough to really warrant running one...

Yes, I can see a tractor beam on a frigate and larger ships, they at least have the space to do something with it (take prisoners and so on). And if they notice that they like a tractor beam him a corvette then we can overhaul the ship and build our new weapon generators and then a tractor beam.
 
This is a corvette. We're here to go fast, bully fighters and pirates, and chew bubble gum. And this ship doesn't come with bubble gum.

With strong shields and proper crew space it does everything the client asked for and everything a ship of this role could ask for, while also being able to punch above its weight class in the event of an emergency. We've designed the corvette for "A capital ship versus a capital ship's weight in Vulcan Corvettes" being an interesting question.

Our corvette's answer to taking prisoners is "slide in behind them, blast their engines to slag, and make them pray you don't hit a fuel line" and informing captains of that should help them intimidate individuals they'd like to take prisoner.

Very true, though later Vulkan Corvettes models will be vastly more powerful and varied due to the new company trait taking on different forms.
