Skitterdoc 2077

Makes me wonder what form the data will be in... A data-shard?

Do you know how USB sticks work? They include a (often ARM) general purpose processor. That does 'wear leveling', to maximise the number of write-cycles the thing can survive. Now, processor plus writable memory, plus access modes (manufacturer testing?) to the storage device that allow altering the code it runs... Don't believe me? Some USB sticks, distributed free, start-up a web-browser, to display their company web-page. Some can impersonate a mouse and keyboard.

I wonder how data-shards work...

Shards also seem to run programs on insertion at times, so it's probably the same deal.

Mmm the trope tells me that something is going to go wrong, so my guess is that Jean tries to sell out.
Maybe the bit about him being a Stranger in the superhero game was foreshadowing about him being somebody who could backstab people before they realize he's a threat.

edit: Nevermind, turns out Ruslan is the stranger. It'd definitely be a surprise if he backstabbed Taylor after calling her his friend.

Just gotta say, I kinda love how Taylor somehow found her way to medical servitors straight outta 40k.

Yeah, she needs to get the money out of her hands and into a safe place as quick as possible, preferably before even leaving the hotel.

I wonder how much a TT upgrade to gold would cost for a week. You don't drive out, you just walk to an elevator and head to the roof, activate your TT subscription and TT comes by and takes you to their hospital. Yeah it runs you 10-20 k but... cost of doing business.

The problem with that is that her TT account would be a direct link to her personal employee name, information, and so on - it would be more of a risk in the long run than any so-called 'safety' that a TT pickup would benefit.

Should be hard to find explosives and detonation mechanism that survive pounding that is needed to fill the holes.
Just prepare something in a tube in advance, set it vertical and pack asphalt around it leaving the top clear. Maybe flip the vehicle, or launch something to penetrate the bottom (at least enough to stick) and then explode or an EMP.
Hebert san not only heals our sick for some reason she keeps our streets paved and smooth too
She just wants to rattle your brains to make them easier to extract.

Kiwi looked really excited, and I looked confused, "What idea?"

"Stealing a city services truck and filling a bunch of potholes with command-detonated explosives to create a prepared killbox for pursuing cars!" she said, "Do any of you know how to fill in a pothole?"
I'm starting to really like this pre-canon Kiwi...

"Yes, insist on the Azure Plaza and pay for a hotel room for one or two nights prior to the exchange. It is most likely that their ambush team, if they have one, would be watching for people approaching the hotel the day of the exchange, especially if you set the exchange time to be in the afternoon," she said, smiling at her own cleverness.

That... was a good idea. A simple double occupancy room was about three to four thousand eurodollars a night. I think a six or seven-thousand-dollar expenditure for the likely elimination of one of the threat surfaces was a cheap cost.

Both Ruslan and Jean looked excited, but I put a damper on things, "This is a good idea, so Wakako and I will pay for two rooms, me and Kiwi in one and you two in the other. But we won't pay for any hotel amenities, especially of the prostitute variety, so that's on your own dime if you want. If you don't have a custom liver, then no drinking within ten hours of the meeting, though."
Kiwi just wanted to stay in a 4 grand hotel room and is happy she's managed to create a logical purpose for it. :p

How long till she makes a Mecha Kitty?

It is Japantown, Anime must flow.

That or Schoolgirls and Delinquent Gang's.
Need to grab the sponsorship opportunities?

Do you think the Tyger Claws would want a catgirl mascot, who exists in the physical, not just online? Obviously with the claws, but with all the speed, strength, and martial arts?

Tyger-chan?

Or, inspired by the Puma Sisters, go for twins?

BTW... The Puma Sisters, from 'Dominion: Tank Police', are big fans of guns, all the guns...

That, or knock off Thundercats.
Or, Cat Girl Nuku Nuku... Who is a cyborged (Uplifted) cat (brain) in a super-heavy-combat android body... Yeah, no claws, or gun fetish, but all the strength and leaping... Might even allow a line of food products sponsored by her...

Whether there is actual (cows milk) cheese, or actual (cow meat) burger, on the other hand...

Taylor Shardy is into spiders. Not Cat(girls). I can see a connection between her and the Maelstrom. Their eyes are a bit arachnid. If they trade her brainbits for extra eyes Taylor will love them.

Surely the answer is to create Spider-Catgirls then?
Catgirls with silly (near indestructible) hair, that they hide their four extra limbs in? :)

With seriously heavy-duty webline generation, and a tendency to run up just about anything, then along the ceiling? :)

"Spider Cat, Spider Cat, Does whatever a Kumo Catgirls's at!"?

Hmm. Possibly best to avoid the catgirl driders???
