A Time of Peace 1: Between Two Souls.
-[X]Train Chakra Control: With your Chakra now unlocked, your mother wants you to have as much control as you can have for a growing boy. Rolled:
1D100 => 25+10=35
You were going to train your Chakra control… but you decided that you wanted to play with Itachi instead.
Your mother understood, and she really wanted you to make friends. Although you did feel a sense of… annoyance radiating off her as she said be home by dinner.
You felt the need to be home by dinner.
Failure.
-[X]Best Friends: Itachi wants to play with you at the playground. You think. Rolled:
1D100 => 80+10 (Memories of ???)=90
Itachi was waiting near the sandbox, sticking his toes into the sand while he waited for you. "Hello." You called out to him.
He looked up to you, and he gave a small, curious glare. "Hello." He replied.
There was a breath of silence as you sat down next to him, allowing yourself a little room, as to not make him feel uncomfortable.
You sat silently for a moment, before Itachi asked. "Do you… have any plans for becoming a ninja?"
You raised an eyebrow. "No… not particularly. Why?"
Itachi's face became deflated, his eyes narrowing. "I… don't know why."
"Why do you want to become a ninja?" You asked.
Itachi flinched, before he replied. "I need to bring honor and glory to my clan."
"Do you want to become a ninja?" You asked. "As in, was it your own choice."
Itachi frowned. "No." He whispered.
"If it was not your choice, why do you not protest it?" You asked.
Itachi frowned, his mind was deep in thought. "Because it is the only way I can bring peace."
His answer surprised you. "You want to bring peace to this world?"
Itachi nodded. "My father showed me a scene from the war… a mountain of corpses, a river of blood, choking the world. Violence tears this world apart… I just… I do not want such a terrible fate being brought down upon others."
You narrowed your eyes. "Your father is a fool."
"Excuse me?" Itachi was shocked that you said something so callously. "You don't even know my father."
"You are correct. And my statement is true even with that lack of knowledge…" You paused. "Bringing peace to the world isn't as simple as being the greatest fighter, the greatest leader. It doesn't matter, because something needs to unite all the carying peoples, traditions and cultures. There needs to be trust, a willingness to talk, even if the slight warrants war." You paused. "This world thrives on conflict… thrives on chaos and death. To bring peace to the world, you have to change what causes it to thrive." You looked to Itachi. "Do you have an idea on how to change the world?"
Itachi nodded. "I don't know. But what I do know is this… We are part of something greater than clans, than rivalries. We are a community...but we do not trust each other. And without that trust… we will die, be lost to the annals of history."
You nodded. "You are correct. We still divide ourselves… The first step to a better world is obvious."
"Bring us together...as one." Itachi stated. "Stop the divide… allow ourselves to truly become a unified village."
You smiled. "Do you still not know if you want to be a ninja?" Itachi asked.
You grinned even bigger. "Maybe… but we still have time to do this without any repercussions."
"Do what?" Itachi asked, confused.
"This." You than dove into the sand, and began to dig. "I'll make a better sandcastle than you!"
Itachi grinned. "Your on!"
Reward: You and Itachi are now friends. You have planted the seeds of an idea into Itachi's head.
The academy gains a +30 to the rolls when you are 5 in training rolls.
-[X]Dog Days: You ran into Dog again… you have no idea why he is walking out in the open, you thought ANBU could use the rooftops? Rolled:
1D100 => 89+10(Memories of ???)=99
Dog was… standing at a stone by the graveyard. He stood there, even as the night began to fall over the village.
You walked besides him. "Hello Dog." You whispered, causing the ninja to look down at you behind the mask. "Are you okay?"
Dog said nothing, before looking back at the stone.
"Your friends died during the war… didn't they?" You asked.
A nod was your only answer.
"Do you come here often to visit them?" You asked.
Another nod, but this time, he looked at you. "Why are you here?" He asked.
"Because you were alone… I hate people who are alone. They usually have something to say… and have no one to say it to." You replied.
"How old are you kid?" He asked.
"3… I'm about to turn 4 in a month." You replied.
He looked down and looked up, examining you. "You're a Hyuga?" He stated.
"I am." You replied.
"That explains it." He said again, looking back at the stone. "I can't talk to you kid, I know things that if I said aloud, I'd have to kill you, damn the consequences."
"Than don't talk about that… talk about something you can." You replied.
"Are you a therapist?" Dog said bluntly.
"No… I'm someone who will listen to you talk… and that's all you want… you keep on hiding things in your head with no one to listen, except yourself. Something weighs you down and you can't pull it off you. I'm not trying to do that… only you can do that. I can only listen." you replied.
"You don't sound like a three-year-old." Dog stated.
"I know, that's what people tell me sometimes…But that does not matter, I just want to help people." You replied. "And you look you need help… now more than ever.
Dog sighed. "Alright. Listen."
Dog told you a story, about three children and their sensei. One of the children was happy, always wanting to help others, no matter the circumstances. He wanted to become Hokage, and prove all of those who doubted him wrong. Another was a girl who loved her team and tried everything she could to keep it together and stop them from tearing it apart. The last child was a boy who lost his father, and ran away inside himself, into the rules, into the life his father lived… hoping one day he would meet him again. He was always alone. The happy boy and the boy who was lonely hated each other, their conflicting views and goals conflicting with each other. The girl tried to keep the peace, but sometimes failed. Their sensei always reminding them of their duty.
In time, the lonely boy found that the happy boy and the girl who kept them all together were people he could trust… and maybe he would not be alone anymore.
War occurred and they had to fight… and their sensei trusted them to complete a mission that would end a war.
The girl was kidnapped, and the lonely boy wanted to complete the mission. But the happy boy refused, saying that 'Those who abandon their friends are worse than trash'
The lonely boy… went with his friend, because it was the right thing to do. They saved the girl… but the happy body did not survive. He was buried underneath a pile of rubble.
His last wish was to give his eye to the lonely boy… a gift for being his friend, and to protect the girl.
They survived only due to the thanks of their Sensei coming to help them.
A few months later, the girl and boy went on a mission, and the girl was captured again, and the boy, using his friends' gift, found her.
But it was too late. A monster was inside her, and she was going to release it the moment she was inside the village.
The lonely boy tried to save her… but he could not. She forced him to kill her… wanting to not harm her home.
He did not know what happened… only those who had hurt her were corpses around him. His sensei rescuing him soon after.
He was alone again… with only three people left in his life that made him keep living his life.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
You looked up to Dog. "I'm sorry." You stated.
Dog… seemed relieved. "Don't be… it's in the past now."
He took a deep breath. "Thank you Shiro."
"I never told you my name?" You replied with fear.
Dog nodded. "You are correct. But you're the only Hyuga that has more empathy than sense."
"Being born crippled and getting to use my arms after trial and error allows me to understand people who have been hurt a little better." You replied. "And thank you for allowing me to listen to you Dog."
"Kakashi." he stated. "My name is Kakashi."
He then gave a wave. "I'll see you around kid."
He then disappeared in a gust of wind.
Reward: Kakashi now views you… as a friend? A confidant? You do not know. But he trusts you, which is more than most people in the world can say.
