Canon Omake: Infidelity By Trondason
Infidelity
For a clan that seems to be all about tradition and formality, an outsider would be rather shocked to learn that they are the biggest gossip mongers Konoha. Their eyes helped them keep track of basically everything that happened in Konoha, so whenever drama happens you can be sure a Hyuga saw it. Everything from romantic misadventures, to heated arguments, to the achievements of children were game for hushed whispers over tea.
In recent months, however, they could talk about only one thing. The "Family Traitor", the kid who sided with the Main Family against the Branch. Opinions were split, but everyone talked.
"Can you freaking believe it?" Tokuma asked, while furiously laying into the training dummy. "We finally have a chance to be rid of the Main House, and he steps in and stops us!"
"... He may have a point, though." Hoheta replied hesitantly.
Hearing this, Tokuma rounded on him in anger "Oh don't you freaking start. You better not be going soft on me!"
Hoheta held up his hands placatingly "No, I'm still willing to do what I must, but.. if what the boy claims is true, then there is no need."
Tokuma scoffs "Yeah right, it's a bunch of bullcrap. There's no way the Main House would allow a version of the seal that removes all of their power over us."
"It is unlikely, but what do we lose waiting to see if it's true? If it's a lie, we can kill him later, if it's true there is no need." Hoheta counseled. "We don't want to rush through this too soon, we don't even have a plan for after his death. Who will lead once he's gone? If we killed him now, there would inevitably be infighting, and Shirou was right atleast in that regard, we don't want to have to fight Family. We can use this time to prepare, for the inevitability."
Tokuma scoffs, but can't bring himself to disgree. Instead he walks off "Let's get some drinks. You're paying." Hoheta, knowing it's the best way to calm him down, happily follows along.
"Have you seen his eyes?" Hana asked her oldest friend, Fu.
"Whose?"
"Shirou's!" Hana said eagerly, leaning in for some good gossip. "They're glowing red!"
"What!?" Fu replied, dumbfounded, as she activated her Byakugan to try to get a look at Shirou. "What in the world!? Red are the eyes of the Uchiha!" She almost spat then name of their clan's oldest rival.
"Are we certain of his parentage?" Hana asked. "I hadn't noticed anything off till now, but..."
Fu frowned and hummed. "I haven't either... I'll see if I can find out who was on watch around then. Hopefully they saw."
They were quite for a few moments, contemplating the potential political snafu. Hana broke the silence "Would explain his arms, and how easily he gets along with the Uchiha."
Fu winced "Think he's Fugaku's?"
Hana hissed "Kami, I hope not. An Uchiha is one thing, but the Head? That'd cause complete chaos, for both of our clans."
"I can't believe that uchiha-brat!" Hiro growled in anger, byakugan activated as he watched the Heir and the Traitor on the other side of the clan's grounds.
Natsu sighed as she continued making breakfast "What is it now, dear?"
"He decided he'd be Hinata's body guard! First he protects Hiashi from justice and now his spawn!?" Hiro Raged. He had been planning on removing the little brat before she could grow up, but now it would be much harder with the Traitor standing in the way.
"Hiro, darling, I keep telling you you need to calm down and think this through carefully." Natsu chided, setting his food in front of him.
"I am calm, woman!" Hiro exploded in anger, slapping the food away and causing it to splatter against the wall.
He was answered with a cold silence, before Natsu replied "I can't talk to you like this, I'll be heading to Auntie Hana's, you can make your own food." She packaged up her own serving, and then promptly left, leaving her irate husband to stew.
And stew he did. He never liked that brat, and now he knows why. He's not only a Traitor, he's a no-good Uchiha. He's gonna give that brat everything that's coming to him, and then take care of the head family, he just needs to convince the others to have his back.
- A Violent Uprising doesn't just go away, lots of people are very salty and are trying to figure out what to do next.
- There's a lot of salt between the Hyuuga and the Uchiha. Two of the biggest and strongest clans in the village (with Senju having just... fade away for some reason), both with super iconic eye balls and are extremely potent in combat, and yet the Uchiha get the praise far more often. Heck, the Byakugan is almost the perfect eyeball for police work, and the Uchiha get complete control of it!
- Mixing bloodlines can have... unexpected results. It's one of the reasons inter-clan marriage is generally frowned upon, and nobody has any idea what the heck was wrong with our arms. And now with our unexplained sharingan-red eyes, people are getting suspicious.
