Meh I just don't enjoy the type of tension that comes from facing something you can't beat on your own, the Shiro and Obtio scene didn't cause me any enjoyable tension cause there was no way for Shiro on his own to "win" there. I much prefer the type of tension you get from fights where its just one on one where both sides are equal or near equals and that's it. I do enjoy the good stomping tho if it's on a really unlikable character.

What about a fight where your at a disadvantage, but could still pull a victory.

Depends on how it's done, if it's cause they have your kryptonite them on at all times then no. If it's cause they have more experience then you in a certain area that is you main fighting style or have a combat style that counters yours and thus you have to use a different way to fight or think up how to counter their counter then yes I consider that good tension. So long as it's be built up and not just a random reveal that they have that sort of thing.

It's also why I'm getting bummed out.

See there is one thing I love in storytelling: creating tension. I love Hitchcock and his work precisely because of it.

It's why I sowed the seeds for a clan coup back when the nine tails aftermath, with Hiashi being all alone with his family. That was while not foreshadowed directly, was a thread I pulled and used because it made sense.

It's also why I'm a bit surprised when people say this quest is too hard and I should stop throwing things at them, like me saying that there are some Genin on par with you out there.

1. I like to troll around with people to see them react. Sometimes the words they say is deserving, other times it's not.

2. I'm not out for your blood. If i was Obito would have killed you.

But the one thing I always want to have is a sense of danger. You are not invincible, nor are your friends, so you have to think more the "punch someone" they die.

And really if it were just going to be a stomp quest without any adversary's, I would have stopped writing months ago, because those types of quests suck.
I am so sorry I asked that question now.

I really like this quest, and wouldn't want to see it die because it is no longer enjoyable for you to write.

I take things too seriously sometimes....

I am so sorry I asked that question now.
you were in your right to ask that question, but most people know or should have known I like to troll people a lot, get them engaged.

It's just when people take it too far and begin to think I am bad for saying things wrong (I've never really been good at explaining thoughts) is when I find things unenjoyable.

Besides, I have a bet that has been made... and I think that is why things might get a little delayed.

Fly Me To the Moon
Fly Me To the Moon:

You awoke to the sound of metal churning in your mind as you watched the pilot and Atlas work on something extraordinary.

"What are you doing?" You asked.

"A gift Shiro." The pilot stated. "A true gift. That only we can provide."

You walked forward and saw Atlas had an open cockpit. And it was empty with two empty chairs. "You wanna fly?" He asked.

"Fly where?" You asked.

"To the moon of course? It's the only place that really anyone I think would ever want to go to." Shiro stated.

"But how?"

"I will be the one who helps you…" Atlas boomed.

"Now get in the damn Robot buddy, times wasting." Shiro stated as he smiled, jumping into the front seat of Atlas. "Jump!" He ordered.

You nodded, jumping into the back seat of the canopy, and marveled of the buttons and lights that were flashing all around you. "Put on the helmet, that will protect your ears, and so we can communicate." Shiro ordered.

You nodded, placing the large helmet over your head. It then quickly shrank to your size and you were frightened. "Alright, here we go!"

You close your eyes, terrified. It was so high… and you were so scared.

"I know you're scared… but you need to open your eyes." The Pilot stated.

Everything felt… still but you saw the world move in a blur. Everything went by so fast that… you didn't know what to really say… or think. You just marveled at the change of scenery. How the sky blackend and stars light up the sky.

You flew farther… and farther above anywhere you had ever known.

"How does he look?" Shiro questioned.

"Starstruck." Atlas stated. "Just like you were the first time."

You looked out the window to see the world above… and then the stars.

They were so bright and pretty… impossibly so. Than the window seemed to dim, the glass becoming a darker shade. "Alright… you wanna stay here, or head to the moon?" Shiro asked.

You nodded, not really understanding the question.

Atlas flew and Shiro brought the robot down and onto the surface. "Take it in bud." Shiro stated. "Take it all in."

"Can we go out there?" You asked.

"Sorry kid, but even if it's a memory, I don't know if that's a good idea." Shiro stated. "But I can do the next best thing."

Atlas' hand went down and he showed a rock. Shiro smiled. "Alright, back to the planet we go." He paused. "Shiro, take the stick."

You froze. "What? I can't-"

"Yes you can." The pilot stated. "Take the stick and bring us in."

You grabbed the stick and brought it forward, the jolt forward kept you.

And you flew down… and down and down to earth.

And your eyes opened, the dream over.

But something strange was beside you. A rock, pure white, cold to the touch was there.

Was everything a dream… or was it real?

Reward: ???. you have a strange stone, gained from a dream… it is unknown how it got there, or if it is even real.

Atlas and Shiro's ??? is beginning to ???

A Disturbance from another world has been felt.

AN: Enjoy.

Isnt there a group of people on the moon with the Hyuga's upgraded eyes?

I wonder if the rock has potential to awaken our eyes....

Does the Moon Stone have the potential to evolve the Byakugan into the Tenseigan in us?

Alright, guess we're going to meet the cousins eventually. Maybe they'll finally notice that the statue they are suppose to be protecting is missing.
Or they just gave up protecting it and not giving a fuck.

Or they have been battling aliens for the last few millennia and haven't really noticed.

I don't think they'd spit on the sage's memory like that. The entire plot of The Last was the remaining guy being pissed at earth for violating the sage's teachings.
Though in their defense, vis-a-vis not noticing, they ARE kinda all blind. Sacrificing their eyes to the Tenseigan. (I blame Zetsu for that idea).

Considering the kind of battles that happen at that power level, it seems unlikely for them to be doing that without people on earth noticing.

Might be some kind of chakra shielding or space could carry extreme amounts of ambient chakra

I don't mean people sensing shit or something, I meant noticing gigantic energy beams and explosions lancing their way across the night sky. Any farmer using a Mk1 Eyeball looking up at night would see quite the light show as two high level "ninja" fought it out.

Might not just be sensory but also visual. Who knows what bullshit they have

That would require said "shielding" to be intentional, not just something that Naruto-Space does.

But I don't see why they'd bother. The whole reason they are protecting earth is that they think earth is too weak to do it themselves, and as such would be too weak to be a threat.
