"Are you worried about Mom getting a Stand too?"
There's another extended silence, before he answers. "That's right. It usually takes a forceful personality in order to control a Stand, and when someone develops a Stand without one.... the effects are unpredictable. And usually negative."
Ah. Well, you don't have any basis for disagreeing with him, so....
"Tch. Fine. It's not like I planned on chatting about it anyway."
"Hmph! Well, I'm glad to hear that. Master that Stand of yours as soon as you can, for the sake of everyone around you!"
"Yeah."
Just as you're about to hang up, he continues talking. "And another thing! I heard from Tsukune and Kurumu about the kind of crap you got into at school last term. I don't care if someone's got an ass in need of kicking, spare at least a minute to consider the consequences. Sooner or later, you're going to piss off some asshole coward who'll take it out on your friends."
...what the actual hell? The nerve of that geezer, talking like he thinks he knows anything...!
"I don't look for trouble," you spit in anger. "Trouble looks for me."
And that's all that needs to be said.
"Arrogant little prick! If he weren't such a stoic bastard, he'd remind me of myself at that age."
As you put the phone down, there's nothing else you can really do but start meditating.

"So," Tsurara said while idly stirring some sugar into her coffee, "what do you intend to do, Mizore?"
Mizore was seated across from her mother at the kitchen table, and between them was a device about the size of a car radio, attached to a portable cassette tape player. A small red bulb had been lit up until a few seconds ago, indicating that it had stopped recording.
"All you have to do is reach out and press the 'play' button," the older woman promised, "and you'll be completely able to hear whatever your boyfriend was talking about, with whomever he was talking to."
Mizore stared at the device intently. Her facial expression betrayed nothing, but she still couldn't hide the interest in her eyes.
Tsurara lightly pushed the piece in her daughter's direction. "A husband shouldn't keep secrets from his wife," she softly said. "Even if they aren't married yet."
Hiyasu, for his part, watched from the kitchen door, silently espying the scene as he sipped his second soda.
Mizore reached out to the player, and placed one hand on it. For several seconds, she did nothing, even as a bead of sweat trailed down her face. After several seconds, she bowed her head. "Even if they aren't married yet," she repeated.
Mizore's middle finger twitched as a ten-inch ice spike shot out of her palm and impaled the listening device, instantly turning it into so much useless scrap.
Abruptly standing up, Mizore let out a huge breath. "A wife," she decided, "has faith in her husband."
Staggering to the fridge for something cold to drink and immediately gulping it down, she eventually nodded. "That's right. Whenever he's ready to tell me, I'll be there. For strength or support, whether he realizes he needs it or not."
Jotaro, she thought, you're the only person I've ever seen who's strong enough to face life alone, and you're stubborn enough to do it if anyone lets you. Resolve burning in her eyes, she swore an oath to herself. I won't. I'll always be there, right by your side. Even if we're apart.
At that time, Holly came in from another room, looked at the wreckage on the table, and clapped once. "Oh, this is one of those secret tests of maturity, right?! I bet the tape was never really even recording in the first place."
Hiyasu raised an eyebrow, before tilting his head to the left as he contemplated. "That.... is a very good question," he admitted.
Tsurara, seeing everyone focus their attention on her, only smiled slyly. "And it deserves a good answer," she agreed.

You're sure it'll be a few hours until dinner's ready, and someone will doubtless come to get your attention at that time.
Until that time, you'll go ahead and see what achieve through meditation.
As time goes on, however, you find it difficult to concentrate. Your thoughts keep going to....
[]Your family and friends. No matter what, you don't want to lose the time you have with those you care about.
[]The enemies you've had to face since your arrival at Youkai Academy. Their stupid bullshit keeps getting in the way of a peaceful life. If only you didn't have to waste time to deal with them.
[]You feel like you're being watched.
