Making your way to the Shirayukis' kitchen, you grab a carton of orange juice and pour yourself a glass.
"That wendigo bastard went and targeted us," you mutter to yourself. Until he's dealt with, there's no way that Holly or I can rest peacefully while we're here.
"I see," Hiyasu abruptly says from behind you. "I've got some urgent business with him as well," he says before pausing to audibly sip something. "If you want a piece of that monster for yourself, you're welcome to accompany me."
Turning to look at him, you can see he's got a white mug of steaming hot chocolate. On the mug is a crude chalk drawing of his monster form, captioned in elegant blue marker with [The Adorable Snowman].
Hiyasu notices your gaze, and smiles. "A Christmas gift from my wife and daughter from several years ago," he explains. "The art is Mizore's; the handwriting Tsurara's."
Mizore chooses that moment to enter the room, and on seeing what Hiyasu has in his hand, immediately starts turning red with embarrassment.
So that she doesn't distress herself for no reason, you fix Mizore with a meaningful look, telling her to relax.
On realizing that seeing this embarrassing relic of her childhood hasn't damaged your opinion of her, Mizore visibly calms down.
Hiyasu, for his part, seems quite amused with himself as he observes the two of you. "Mizore, would you terribly mind waking up your mother? I'll be borrowing Jotaro to make war later, and we could both use a particularly hearty breakfast today."
Mizore eyes her father coolly. "You mean all three of us, right?"
Hiyasu spares you a glance in his peripheral vision, visibly thinking about something. "I understand your desire to help, Mizore, and I certainly appreciate it as well. And if strength were all it came down to, I'd be more than happy to bring you and your mother along. As it stands, though....."
Pursing his lips in contemplation, he nods. "I feel that the best way for the Snow Women of the household to support us in our battle today is to make sure that we have a safe home to return to. Do you understand, Mizore?"
You stop and think about what he's saying, before suddenly remembering Terada's slip-up during your confrontation with him. A Stand called [The Abyss], which triggers in response to emotional reactions...
Mizore seems to be thinking about it as well. She still seems agitated, but nods in acceptance. Even though we can hold our own in a fight, you'd still worry about us more if we were there with you, and he'd have an easier time of baiting you to react instinctively.
With a huff, Mizore departs. "Yeah, I'll go get Mom."
Having the kitchen to yourself and the old man again, the silence is a little awkward.
[]The Shirayukis seem like decent enough people; what's their history with Terada?
[]You get the impression that Hiyasu knows about Terada's Stand. Could he be a Stand user as well?
