@FengLengshun: Schrodinger's Encounter is in effect here - other potential outcomes/events did not occur because you did not roll for them. So it is somewhat useless, useless, useless to dwell on them.

I will say, though. Two of the possible encounters involved Yukari. You did not get a Yukari encounter.

@XenonPrime: There was at least one encounter that would've prompted you to attack first. But there weren't any where the encounter would immediately attack you on sight, either - you'd have to first bring attention to yourself in some way.

You talk about Schrodinger, I talk about cats being curious, and humans just like them. Besides, I want to dwell and get mad at myself because it turns me on because dwelling on one's past and mistakes is a big part of being human.

Also, which Yukari? The little girl, or the gap hag?

So rolling low is better?
Depends on how you determine "better".

Rolling lower would've resulted in a more potentially dangerous encounter, which would've increased the chance of getting Ripple. On the other hand, a more dangerous encounter could also mean a greater chance of being outed as a human and/or having to fight a monster that you just aren't ready for yet, potentially resulting in... something bad happening.

With regards to non-event rolls, like for "Willpower", "Badassery", etc.? Yeah, rolling a lower number tends to yield a more positive result.

Angsting turns you on? o_0

1 would've been an encounter with either Rikiishi or Kuyo, depending on how the subsequent roll for "You're Screwed" went. If it were Kuyo and you wound up fighting him, it would've been game over. If it were Rikiishi, you wound up fighting him, AND he used his monster form, you probably would've "only" wound up in the infirmary for the next week or so, but you might have learned Ripple. If you got Ripple before Rikiishi used his Troll form, you may have been able to knock him out.

2 would've been Saizou's after-school encounter with Tsukune as in canon. Chance to obtain Ripple if you pick a fight with his monster form.

3 would've been the "Lizardmen attacking Yukari" event happening even this early into the year.

5 Would've been that long-necked lolicon monster stalking Yukari, and you would've had the option to kick his ass.

6 would've been the Pillarman Headmaster manning a booth in preparation for the faculty cosplay party next week.

So a 1d6/1d20/1d100=1 would be a critical success instead?

Yes- I mean NO! It's... it's most certainly absolutely not a hidden masochism streak that I have. I, I was just... er trying to trick you into revealing your secrets, yes! That's it!

Well, joking asides (do I?), Second seems best while 1 and 6 seems the most... 'exciting' option.

Did I stutter?

Right. Just recall that other characters can make rolls too, so sometimes you do want a higher number.

For "Badassery" you generally want a lower number, but if "Badassery (Opoonent)" ever comes up (and it would've been a 3d6 in the Lizardman encounter) you want THAT roll to have a higher number.

Methinks the quester doth protest too much.

1 also had a chance of getting you killed, though. Never forget that. Also, 6 was the only optionthat would not have possibly resulted in violence.

Well we avoided running into the little witch, that's good, she seems like a pain in the ass.
She's also the closest to fighting like a proper JoJo, among the cast, in my opinion as she seems to rely on tricks much (from what little I've seen of her). Also, a clingy, obnoxious, and stubborn partner who refuses to leave Jotaro's side is jut the kind of person he needs, I think.

Which is why I put 'exciting' in apostrophes, a life full of dangers is exciting indeed, and it can get you killed rather easily. Hm, now it makes me wonder about that head master...

I normally avoid shipping, but there is one girl who would work out (interestingly) with Jotaro. Mizore Shirayuki.

Also, there's going to be a faculty Cosplay?...Can the students join?

Mizore's nice and not overly annoying to Jotaro (I think, not sure how he'd react to the stalking) but she's rather delicate don't you think?

...Oh god is she a Speedwagon!?

I could sort of see Mizore, I guess. She's very straightforward, but quiet, which Jotaro can appreciate. She's also pretty strong-willed and not too obnoxious in how she displays affection or talks to the person she likes, which is a must for Jotaro to seriously consider a relationship with someone, I think. The voyeurism is the only real problem, since it might get on his nerves. But then again, what doesn't? He'd probably just get used to it eventually.
