How....how do you fight a REALITY WARPING SENTIENT AUTONOMOUS CONSTRUCT that also has MIND CONTROL POWERS and is constantly growing?! Good god the Frozen Throne sounds like something the SCP Foundation would deal with....
 
The Defiance Unit are interesting. On one hand, they once attacked a university, on the other, they also attacked the idle rich to prove a point about the city. They almost seem politically motivated to me, but I have no idea what their goals or ideology even were.

They were VERY political. You'll find out more in other back issues or in a particular fill-in issue!
 
With the winning plan, we've got an income stream (thin though it may be), Wolong's help with power synergies, and a nice infusion of power profiles chock full of potential to use. Now all we need is goldnine to make Ambrosia with. To that end, next turn I recommend that we pursue the Puella Magi and the In Case of Emergency actions. They'll cost us 3 AP, but the former will put us on the path to a consistent supply of goldnine, while the latter will give us 1 Ambrosia's worth of goldnine immediately, in addition to all the other benefits.

We're at 5 AP now, Hiver doesn't boost that but our two new bases will have us at 7, right?

Break Glass is 2, Magical Girls is 1. That's 3 accounted for.

I do still really wanna do Cenotaph to refill our candidate pool, and Chihiro's stern principles on the radio make me want to recruit her soon. That's 5, leaving 2 to knock out our required missions for ND ASAP if we want to, but we have a little time on that, we could do the Yara mission as well.

Will the one mission with the German title get rewards mixed around a bit because we got the missions it'll unlock and it needs more spice to draw us in?

I'll probably change it a bit or axe it all together now that you've got the missions from New Dawn.

We can do cenotaph next turn but I think we can wait a bit in meet the rookies so we can Do Hero Worship and a ND mission

. Though meet the rookies before JOhn gets ambrosia works too and might be better to not risk his identity. Honestly It might depend on how much stats we need for ND missions if speedrunning our promises for them or going after yara first is better.

Just axing it works we know Wonderland INmates are basically forming a legion of doom now. No need to risk triggering a disaster when we have leads with ND on how to handle them properly.

These Dr. Ibis notes might be some of the dumbest things I've ever written. That's how you know they're good.

EDIT: Also, I'll just toss this out now so no one is disappointed: you're not getting any of the founders or Heavenly Astrologian or Steelheart with this batch for reasons that will be explained in the update.

makes sense bet Heavely astrologian is probably locked in Noelle recruitment.
Same with how we probably need to do Yara mission line to get Jasmine DNA.

Id be down for not making an Algernon type. Though depending on future discoveries we might have no choice but to make one to deal with problems.

I get the feeling all of these sleeping catastrophes are related somehow. Either that or the universe just hates humanity. Without the metahumans you could just transplant them all into a deathworld setting.

Wrong bird, but i do hope we dont end up with a Dark Phoenix plot line.... clones on the other hand.... wait no ignore that, We already have a cloner with a stealth score we need dead. Dont add more fuel to the fire... also we need a more precise toll since I reeeally dont want Black Swan anywhere near a cloning power, we do not need black holes thrown at us...
