Maybe you should just let us vote on, how many pair we want.
Bitterman did say that 'BS and MW are up there', presumably because of the sister-like dynamic, so that's another line between them.
From this hastily drawn graph, we can easily see the best plan would have been "VG+BS; DS+MW; C+H".
I will admit, I did not expect John and Maddie to have an interesting dynamic. Thinking about it, it makes a bit of sense, in that they're oldest and youngest. I also didn't call VG and C, but in retrospect it makes a bit of sense: they both have ties to different teams originally, and they're both the "sane" ones.
But yeah, never thought of the DS+MW pair.
I imagine it was picked because just before the memorial we had the scene of VG bonding with HM over how they don't feel good enough?
I mean, I called the logic behind Handyman and Chatelet before:All of Châtelet's affinities caught me by surprise, to be honest. She just hasn't had much focus on her in the Personal Actions yet. Also that single scene with Valiant Gold and Handyman was less representative than I thought.
So, just realized there's a potentially interesting synergy between Rhys and Opale: their struggles coming from non-LGBTQ homes, the effects family have had on them and their loss of their romantic partner during the Movement.
-[ ] Handyman & Châtelet (10 REP, LGBTQ, Lost Romantic Partner, Represent continuing despite past losses)
That was just lines to represent "best combos", to easily see and visualize it, to figure out if there was a "best plan", or if there was always going to be a tradeoff.Bitterman did say that 'BS and MW are up there', presumably because of the sister-like dynamic, so that's another line between them.
That would be nice, but we made our bed so we must now lay on it. Besides we passed and Im kind of scared that if we need to roll again it will go bad...Maybe you should just let us vote on, how many pair we want.
And not who we should pick. You are the QM here. If you think that a vote is boring og dosen't make sense for the narrate, than VETO/CHANGE the vote. The story must be enjoyble for you, not just us.
The scene where they both hang out is really endearing! Ellie literally hit Rhys with the "how do you know if you're gay?"
"I've gotten good at family dinners," she explains, "They're fun but so stressful."
You laugh at her. Ellie's alright! She reminds you of your baby sister, Jessica. God, she must be, what, twenty-three now? All grown up. You let your family know you were alive after the Movement, but you haven't seen them since coming to Horizon.
You probably won't see most of them ever again. Uncle Sam doesn't take kindly to people who go AWOL.
You and Ellie sit there, recovering for a bit, until she says something else.
"Can I ask you two questions?
"Weirdly specific number," you say, "But sure. Shoot."
"Do you like . . . tennis?" she asks with an oddly intense gleam in her eye.
"Actually . . . yeah. Tennis rules. I haven't played in forever though."
"Ms. Del Rosario and some other residents got a court set up," she says, "I know where we can borrow rackets. You wanna play?"
"Yeah . . . yeah!" you say, liking the idea more and more, "That sounds great."
"Good."
She keeps looking out into the distance.
"Sooo . . ." you venture, "What was the second question?"
She furrows her brow. "How do you know if you're gay?"
". . . so we rent these rackets or what . . . ?"
"Rent," she confirms," . . . so tennis first?"
"Tennis first. And then after: I have questions."
I assumed that was the joke!Yeah, Bitterman is being very kind with us.We must be greedy and ask for more.
Edit: We mustn't be greedy and ask for more. God. Was no one going to tell me I made a typo?!
Okay, Chihiro is going to use her ability here then. Re-roll with advantage.
It was better, at least!
you're good civ, and I'm grateful for you.
