I'll admit I'm not a fan of going all-in in this instance even with Lady Leizi's gimmick since I think in case some rolls fail, we at least ensure we keep a card hidden. But seeing the lead, I guess it is what it is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Here hoping the gambit pays off.

We will have to roll with the punches... although Im kinda sad we wont have BS and VG funny hour.

Palisade hisses again, "Gabriel, you shouldn't—"

"Please, Renee. Just go with them. Please."

You sigh. Ah well, it had been a good run. There was something poetic about the group that was once a part of New Dawn welcoming it back into the fold. You just hope Renee doesn't take it too hard.

Why is Palisade againist deals with us and the closure of New Dawn?

To your surprise, she takes your hand and firmly grasps it. You had worked with both heroines during the many crises that necessitated setting aside grudges, but your relationship with Palisade was frosty in the best of times.

She and Rakeem used to date. She blamed you for the end of the relationship. She wasn't entirely wrong.

Is it simply the failure of her relationship with Adamant or is it something else?

Even before finding out she's someone associated with Novalight's faction (though in a more low impact manner rather than actually being a Novalight kinnie), I kinda had a feeling she was gonna be the hardest one to convince when it comes to the merger. That victory against Monarch's faction earlier with Black Swan I think is a step in the right direction considering the aftermath showed her laughing and being amicable with the group, but we still have our work cut out for us. Good thing we have a bit more opportunities working with her with New Dawn missions and having those moments helps warm her up to us.

In all honesty, our chances of failure with either plan are close to none, especially with Omake bonuses factored in. What I'm really curious about is our chances of that REP gain.

It's 5% failure chance assuming people collectively have and are willing to spend the maximum of 5 omake points on the ESP roll, but there are a lot of REP rolls before that happens.

…This is why we roll one dice per person, unless advantage is on. Feels like we've been cursed.
