A kingdom with direct access to the dragon that has all the artifacts and hero parts in its horde?
Well, actually, I had this seperate idea for a sort of Dragon Apocalypse where a necro-dragon invaded and took over a fantasy kingdom with a powerful blight/miasma corrupting everything, with the hero/leader of the fighting-back force being a royal heir with a magic that can repel it, but maybe these two can be combined...

After Zodiac finishes. I need to finish that update...

Gah, so I was going back, catching up on stuff between updates, because this thread is long, and something just stood out to me:
As you do, you notice the dolls the figure is playing with. Two are set off to the side, lying on their backs, untouched. One is of a woman in red leather with a cat-inspired mask, the other a muscular man made of a bronze-orange metal.

Wait. You stop and look closer at the other five dolls. The figure is actively moving them around, posing them as if they were about to speak. It holds one up to it's . . . ear? Face? And says still for a moment. Then, after a moment, it pounds its fist in frustration and moves onto the next doll.

You look, and yep, you totally called it. There is a doll of a woman in silver armor, a doll in blue spandex, a doll of a silver woman in a dress, a doll of a translucent, green figure with short hair, and a very familiar doll of a Chinese woman with badass sunglasses and a killer outfit.
"Yeah, that's Uiara, Vailant Silver, Radiant Silvergirl, Moon River, Lady Leizi . . . and Adamant and The Red Huntress all the way over there. Are you having fun playing with them?"
There you see them in storage: Nora, Yazmin, and Towarri. You hesitate to grab them and then sigh. You're being foolishly sentimental. They would want you to use their powers. Keep a part of themselves still alive. You steel your resolve for the hundredth time today and reach for them.

And then the floor beneath you moves you backwards.

You blink in confusion. You can't quite reach them now. So you take a step, only to find the Apiary moving the storage unit away from you. You chase after it and it keeps moving them, until, finally, a section of the wall opens and the unit slides into and carries them away. You try to follow, but find the storage unit has been carried to the center of the Apiary, where the Contingency lies.

The door will not open for you.

You blink in confusion. You know you'll have to earn your way in . . . but how? And why did it take those samples?
This might just be due to my sleep deprivation on account of being awake for 27.5 hours, but it slots in so well with my previous speculation of Uiara still being alive: I don't think they're dead. I think that, instead of the first vote being who lived while the rest died, it determined who was recovered before another faction snatched them.

I think I might know who took them! This is far more speculative, but...
"However, after their sacrificial dragnet of Justiciar turned up nothing but your genuinely ignorant predecessor, they're desperate. King grows ever closer to his quarry. It seems he has help now as well. The Interlocutor has grown more cunning as well—no doubt using who it took from the QZ—but it's only a matter of time before it is pinned down."
My suspicion is that the Americans have Radiant Silvergirl, and the Interlocutor has Valiant Silver, to go along with my previous theory that the Hand has Uiara. But it's also possible that King has one, or that who has who is different, or that this is all just a massive red herring. But it fits too nicely in place for me. Especially since, looking back, none of those three seem to have absolutely confirmed deaths.

Couple of questions if the AMA is still going on.

1. How common is the theory that non Algernon hyperbrains are real, they just use their intellect to hide their existence so nobody starts a war over control of them?

2. Which introduced characters, if any, believe said theory?

If Ibis is "like that" because of the implant, why is Sarah like that? Does this impact her perception of her parent's divorce or Sarah's perception of her mother's perception of sarah?

The Interlocator and America having a member of JU and us needing to rescue them would fit. At the very least The Apiary seems to have some sort of psychic connection to the members.

Honestly Interlocator captoring Nora and then Uirea working with King to rescue her could work. A bit cold not revealing shes alive but the situation with The Interlocator just might not allow her too plus she is a known hot head and with the love of her life in danger I can see her genuinely being to focus on the rescue mission.

It would make it finny though in that Metting GJ and getting an alliance would have probably been the path to getting radiant silvergirl back early.

Which we ended up messing up and pribably makes relationshop with america worse with us once we go for the rescue mission.

1. You mean super-smart people? Those exist, but most assume that the people making Clarktech are Algernons.
2. I'm not sure any of them do?

He was always kind of "like that", the implant just made it terrifying instead of quirky. Sarah acts like that because she's a little quirky too, though, as seen when she shoots Nathan down, her heads screwed on a little tighter than her dad's. And her mother loves her, but has a hard time being reminded of what her first husband became. Thus her reason for being distant.

See while I am not sure on if they were snatched I thought they might be alive when the house didn't hand over their dna, because we know something bad might happen if we used living DNA, and I am assuming she knows. It's part of the reason why I'm not so sure about using Appery's dna

Well, if that's true, while that does narrow down not only how they made that video, but also makes it much easier to make up the stuff around her. They'd just need a good few image of Uiara's room to fake a set, something probably achievable via Key walking in and erasing memories.

Anyway if Silvergirl is the Predecessor its likely Sun and Fish were her peers in that cult with them being groomed to serve The Hand.

Silvergirl breaking were she grew up and setting most of the kids free proabbly meant Fish and Sun developed enough. That Philosopher need to rely on mind control to be able to use them something I think Star is rensponsible for and why shes a member that replaced Towarri.

Dont know about key and lantern though. They could be the same as Towarri but instrad of rebelling completley fell to the grooming and brainwashing.

Lantern atleast seems to consider the Hand as her father.

The secret is to just write. Write a little every day. It's a muscle. It gets stronger and easier the more you do it.
He's right, y'know. Even if the writing is objectively shit, it's still one step closer towards being better. Don't think that chasing your dreams always has to be a sprint.

Trust me, I can attest. My first quest Space Oddity was written back in March, and my writing is practically completely different now.

Lucky for us, we can't! Apiary's DNA is Potency 14, the max Tolerance is 10 and the max reduction seems to be 3. Instead, we have the option to distill it, getting the option "Rosemary's Baby".

And as indicated by the EXCEED-BEYOND DNA sample being derived from Nora's, sufficiently altered DNA shouldn't cause the same issue:
The DNA in the EXCEED-BEYOND armor's formula is different enough from mine that you should be able to double dip.

That said If america has Towarri I wonder if they have ophelie too. We know she would have made it out alive comad if we picked Towarri afterall and Opele would have joined up immediately.

Hell apart from autowin in combat Starting with 4ap was probably the best benefit of picking towarri we didnt know about. Though we probably would have specced Mona in espionage instead with her to make up for Towarri being to blunt.

While I won't discount the possibility that Towarri, and Uiara might be alive all along, it doesn't explain stuff like how we can use Harper, Rakeem, and Ophelie's dna.

Adamant is dead chaucer confirmed it. Not sure about Harper or Automne though. That said its perfectly possible america just left her for dead after securing towarri.

Even from the first update to now, I think there's a world of difference in quality. It's just about doing it.
Adding to this: You don't even have to make anything your publicly going to share maybe outside some friends.

Almost 80 thousand words for something that I've never shared beyond my friends and I don't plan on changing that any time soon. You don't have to make something that people are going to see. Write for yourself first and foremost, the whole sharing it with other people or not can come after.
