[X] . . . if he has any insight into psychic or anti-psychic synergies?

We need a psychic of our own to counter 3rd Person and the Philosopher's ubiquitous use of it. The former will be immediate, while the latter is long term.

We'll probably be giving John Henry a teleportation power instead, but it pays to start researching now so we can guarantee the psychic synergy for a future Potency 10 candidate.

Dario strikes a pose that is supposed to be "cool" and "hip". It becomes increasingly apparent that he's too old to play this character.
Or can even the biggest loser—who's wasted his life and driven away the only person to ever care about him in a way that mattered—still have a chance at happiness?
There is an emptiness to Dario's eyes that speaks of wasted opportunities and the arrogance of youth. There is a pitying silence on the set once the cameras stop rolling.
With that, an awkward moment of mutual indecision happens as everyone waits for Dario to return. He doesn't. There is, however, the muffled sounds of sobs that can be heard from a nearby closet. His words are faintly audible.

". . . take me back . . . sorry . . . didn't know I had syphilis . . ."

I am invested in Dario. Poor dude. Is this gameshow about the contestants or him?

+1 Global Action! New Global Actions unlocked!
If its two uses on the cost of a single global action for Spoonful, being able to spoonful twice for 2k income only is insane (would probably need to check if this is being interpreted correctly as this could just be confirming a second use is possible but requiring the full 4k income there).

Still, 1 at the start of the turn or 2 in the middle of the turn at all as an option is insane as well, though I'm assuming it might still cost the income of 2 Prometheus uses and 2 globals?

[X] Two spoonfuls

So I would adore to confirm the Enhanced Strength and Clairvoyance synergy, but I do think our next options are not likely to be taking that path anyway (and I think we have a lead on a build that likely fills this anyway) so getting the psychic confirmations out of the way now seems more prudent. Ally Enhancement could be nice if going for a Bulwark or Fast Track build right now, but I doubt that even if we did I'm not sure we could make a proper synergy with John's tolerance easily.

It takes the full 4k. You just save a global action.

That is correct. Same GA cost and same income cost.

You guys also only have 5 slots left for metahumans, reminder!

Honestly, with that info, I am more tempted towards support/utility powers.

...it would be really fucked if Sparksurfer or Jorogumo were responsible for Nat. I hope to god they were not.
On support utility builds I kinda feel like with his tolerance we're locked into Ispy, Chatroom, or Bulwark as a base for the build here.

We need to deal with Third Person at some point..
To note, Exceed Beyond's pilot is immune to being possessed by Third Person per the QM and Noelle could be set up for that now.

Also god we need to finish sorting out OID control and general base expansion given we're at 5 slots left and are staring at 6 people trying to fill them (John, Noelle, Belle, Yara, Sparksurfer, and Jorōgumo) even without counting reforming New Dawn under us or Homer as another 10 tolerance or the new recruits from Cenotaph.

We can spend a Global Action and some cash for an extra slot, we're told.

I was grinning and kicking though that entire chapter

And the end? Oh that was a joy to read on multiple fronts. A family being reunited, a promise that our final member of the first trio of candidates won't go rouge on us AND be a helpful voice for us is just- MWAH! SO SO SO GOOD!

My only worry with him, barraging him getting a power that's easy to write off or hide his identity, is that John here is the first member of the team going through Project Prometheus that we don't have a very good answer on how to hide who he is. If we handle him wrong... I'm afraid we may give a hint to our enemy as to what the true nature of Project Prometheus is.

But, there is a sliver lining- of course if my concerns are actually correct. His Tolerance is VERY low. A 5 as it current stand in the character sheets...

I'm honestly looking though for a low power count combo we can do. We get like... three? points to lower the potency so our effective cap is 8.
I'm seeing a few threads following that logic...
Also! I'd like to also say that I honestly don't think we should feel like we have to go for the most powerful things- creativity and versatility are very powerful in there own form!

Eastwood
Millions Minefield

These here have an interesting synergy with each other. Both of of them have an explosive AND storing property. The redirection from Minefield is a very nice touch. If I'd had to guess from reading them... I'd wager that the resulting power would follow along more with the explosive nature- but that analysis is based around the lack of information on what those emotions could become. Best case scenario here would be a sort of always present utility belt + the ability to redirect not only energy but also emotions.

However, if we wanted to try and create a power that we can write off as being something we don't want people to know about while maximizing that sweet 5-8 range...
Soldier X
Mister Hunch
Steadfast

Which actually lines up perfectly with the 5 potency limit. The logic is two fold. Steadfast and Soldier X both pair up with each other extremely well. We would get someone with a empowered body and invulnerability, both of which could be very useful! And honestly? It even says so in the description for Soldier X- People had no idea she had a power or not! It can be 100% written off as not a power! And Steadfast? Well... again that would take observations and data in order to learn about. It's silent. My only want here actually would be a side effect for that invulnerability or for Soldier X to change Steadfast enough that it isn't as suspicious. I'm sure people would notice if someone was just as immortal as someone as well known as Steadfast.

And finally? Mister Hunch. Why? Well in the record is says that our protag worked with that man a lot. If that power comes through mostly intact it would be wonderful! Not even has the same risk of being killed that Mister Hunch fell too...

Honestly, if there was an option to essentially 'double dip' a specific Sample at the cost of raising a mutation chance I'd take it for both Soldier X and Mister Hunch. We'd be able to create no a face, but another back liner. A very good support to the rest of the team!

As for my vote?
[X] . . . are there any synergies that come to mind that involve [Ally Enhancement]?
I feel like I was on to something with wanting to mix up the three abilities:
Hydrocity
Frostbite

and Féth Fíada
to make some sort of master of all three states of Water. I'm wondering if this will give us a push towards that specific combo. I'd be nice to see if it's viable

I know the other one's gonna win, but it just feels wrong for us to have a loose thread laying around.

Very sweet update as well. Can't believe @Wing101r was completely right.

Also, I'm assuming everyone wants to do A Spoonful of Sugar on John Henry and Ellie (bringing them to 6 and 10 respectively) but I wanted to make sure. Please add to your votes:

No sense in being frugal now. Sooner we get these done, the better.

Next turn, Noelle gets suited up and ready to punch some face. We want something that can keep her safe while we visit R-Train, after all.

That being said, I'm thinking just her, turn start. We need to keep 3 slots open for Belle, Jorogumo, and Sparksurfer.

You can empower her this turn thanks to Dr. Massive Ibis!

Most footage from the shoot that day would be mysteriously destroyed, and not a single member of the crew would ever speak on what they witnessed. However, the ten second clip of a fifteen-year old, five-foot-even girl dropkicking a gameshow host would go viral for years to come.

If you think that reducing the amount of footage published to the outside world to just this is going to stop me from writing But Who'd Believe That 2, you are sorely mistaken. In fact, having the only footage be a low-quality clip is probably only going to add to the overall experience.
