Pokemon Ranger: Crimson Dawn (No SV You are a Kanto Warlord)

she keeps rolling like this, then it wont be sabrina tha needs team rocket, but team rocket and giovanni needs her
Gio has countermeasures for Sabrina, weather or not they work is another story entirely.

But Gio has consistently been able to somewhat control her.

He's not helpless, he's the top dog for a reason.
And well, in a war scale, that's just another advantage brought by her ridiculous mental power.
She has weaknesses to either strong willed trianers, people with strong bonds with Pokémon.

Or the Rare and uncommon beings that can use Aura.
Edit: I just realized something. Us, Giovanni, and Brock are practically the B Plot storyline right now, with Gio being currently the silent support for Sabrina, the titan in the playground, and the massive desperate coalition of everyone else over there to oppose her, with us likely to eventually become the silent support for the Coalition, once we get to the point we could do that.
Technically we are in the middle of the prologue section of the show where we follow red and co.

Crimson is likely one of the only warlords that can count as the most important player to the ronin story line.

If only because he has two previous titles and quests behind him to make him important to the story lines to come.

She has weaknesses to either strong willed trianers, people with strong bonds with Pokémon.

Or the Rare and uncommon beings that can use Aura.
Being able to see what happens before it does is still broken. 😅
The only question is, what blind points does her future sight have? I mean, the most obvious possible weakness it possibly the dark type, which wasn't even a type that existed in the lore at the time said manga was released, even if only a year before Gold and Silver came out. But of course, you have Miracle Eye, a move that specifically exists in order to allow psychics to use psychic abilities on dark types.

So we have a massive swarm of pidgeys and a pirate queen to worry about in the early game and a psychic madwoman for the midgame...

You know what? I think that decision to arm a militia seems tempting...

The Unspoken Terror
The Unspoken Terror

(Hido Togasa POV)

The Ranger Union

[]Send in the feelers: Clearly we need to know what is going on before we do anything and Agent Mura is still out of Contact.
DC: 80/90
Rolled: D100 => 2

Disaster Roll: D100 => 92

"What do you mean Unova wants to invade? They already have Surge stationed there," you said, looking over the reports with an air of calm that belied the tension mounting inside. "Their saber-rattling will only cause more devastation."

Blake, the seasoned spy of the Ranger Union, exhaled slowly, his face lined with the weariness of a man who had seen too much. "They have reason to believe, given certain...factors in play, that the situation has spiraled beyond our control."

"Is it because we hesitated to send agents in after we saw what was happening at Mt. Moon?" you asked, trying to maintain some semblance of level-headedness despite the rising panic in your gut.

"On the contrary, sir. What we saw scared the hell out of them," Blake replied, leaning in closer. His voice dropped to a low murmur, as though the walls themselves might betray them. "And now they're in a hurry to finish this. I keep warning them—if they keep jumping into this without fully understanding, it's going to blow up in their faces. It won't just be Unova that's affected."

You rubbed your temples, the weight of the situation bearing down on you. "What do we do then? How do we tell them about the thing on Mt. Moon without starting a full-scale invasion? If we don't give them assurances that it won't kill us all, they'll level the entire region to be done with it."

"And if we tell them the full truth?" Blake's voice held a bitter edge. "We're condemning the region to hope that Sabrina can kill it. That won't be good for anyone. Waiting that long... it's a dangerous gamble."

The problem gnawed at you, your mind racing through possible scenarios. None of them were good. You didn't have the full picture—what exactly was lurking beneath Mt. Moon, and more importantly, what had spooked the Pokémon so badly that even the most aggressive species were fleeing? If only Agent Mura were here. The man was the most reliable intelligence asset you'd ever had, and his absence was like losing your sight and hearing all at once. Without his insight, your operation was limping, blind and directionless.

"How do we proceed, sir?" Blake asked, breaking your train of thought.

You leaned back in your chair, the creak of the wood a stark contrast to the silence that followed. "Keep it quiet," you said finally. "No leaks. If anyone outside our circle finds out what's really happening at Mt. Moon, it'll be over. We've kept it hidden this long. We can't afford to let it slip now."

Blake nodded, but there was hesitation in his eyes. "And if it gets worse? We don't have much time left."

"If it escalates…" You paused, the decision gnawing at your conscience. "We have operational authority to send the Elder to guide Sabrina. If it comes to that, she can point her in the right direction—steer her toward the problem. There won't be much of a region left once it's done, but we have to be prepared to make that sacrifice."

"And if there's another way?" Blake pressed, still clinging to the hope of a better solution.

You sighed. "If it can be reversed without drastic measures, we don't have the means to pursue it. Not now, not in time." You leaned forward, your voice grim. "We're running out of moves, Blake. And the clock's ticking faster than we can keep up."

Reward: The Ranger Union is in a bind, Someone is gonna need to give them some good news soon about the situation at large, otherwise…bad things will happen.

AN: I forgot something...enjoy

What in the world is going on at Mt Moon??? The ancient giant Pokémon of Pokémopolis? Eternatus's Kantonian cousin? The forsaken creatures know as Pals?

this just upended my omake, My story has my character basically passing through Mt Moon with a couple of escorts and nothing happening. Should I rewrite or can I keep it?
You can keep it, just have him be completely unnerved about something he can't explain about it.
What in the world is going on at Mt Moon??? The ancient giant Pokémon of Pokémopolis? Eternatus's Kantonian cousin? The forsaken creatures know as Pals?
It is a problem that can be stopped. Understand that.

I forget, but people said Gio have a legendary already? what is it?

I think Moltres left Victory Road and decided to hang out in Mt. Moon, its powerful enough to force all the other pokemon to run away, but a group of powerful trainers could force it to run, maybe even catch it

Well. Mount moon is known for moon stones, and clefairy have some connection to space…
On the other hand, there is a nonzero chance we might be dealing with an old monster possibly legendary level 'common mon'. Like the ghastly from maiden's peak if I remember correctly, or the Ninetales whom had a trainer that looked nearly identical to Brock Slate.

...There any info we could get access to without action about Pallet Town's stuff/events from the warlords era/pre-modern Pallet Town?

Like, how the Wall was protected from ground type pokemon given Viridian is their neighbor, and stuff like diglet would complicate preventing sappers from getting under the walls. Or possible 'secret weapons' that could spark research projects. I mean, I am considering doing an omake of basically having a local family whom far in the past, had one of their ancestors manage to stumble into a battle bond with an eevee. As basically an insanely difficult thing to replicate, and with no resource requirements to do so, it's basically the one super power-up that one could blindly stumble into, while being so statistically small, we'd have better luck poking around for mega stones in quest.

Forming a Battle bond is something that takes care and time.
Time and luck probably.😅

After all, I fully expect the Battle Bond to basically be an end of road in the bond path, considering the sheer rarity of it likely, basically being to the mega evolution world the way mega evolution is/was to the everyone else. Combining uncommon strength on the human side and both parties being 100% on the same wavelength in a way even an ideal mega evolution doesn't normally require. Basically, wouldn't be surprised if we might stumble into the whole pokemon conquest thing first if we try.

Turn 3
Turn 3
Oak POV

The morning sun cast a gentle glow over Pallet Town, but the weight of recent events hung in the air. A sense of abnormality clung to everything, even as people tried to hold on to some semblance of routine. From his window, Professor Oak could hear the familiar voice of Luna over the town's radio.

"This is Pallet Town Radio, 75.4, bringing you *I Wanna Be the Very Best* by Paige," Luna said cheerfully, trying to inject some positivity into the day.

Her voice was smooth and calm, a stark contrast to the tension in the town. It was clear that Luna had found some comfort in her new role, using the morning announcements to maintain a connection with the townspeople. Oak knew they needed something familiar to hold onto amidst the chaos.

Across the lab, Bill was slumped over his workstation, half-asleep, surrounded by wires and tools. He had been working tirelessly on the air compressor for the Running Shoes, a device that could potentially aid trainers in moving faster through the difficult terrain that had become more treacherous lately. Oak admired his dedication but worried about the toll this was taking on him.

"Bill, take a break," Oak muttered under his breath, knowing full well that the young inventor wouldn't listen.

At another desk, Anabel, their new advisor, sat quietly, filing paperwork with meticulous precision. Oak couldn't quite figure her out yet. She was young but carried herself with a level of authority and confidence that exceeded her years. Her strategic mind had been invaluable thus far, and Oak had to admit that her presence was stabilizing, even if she was somewhat of an enigma.

She's unusual, no doubt about that, Oak thought, watching her from his desk. Her background and her abilities are all a bit too convenient. But she has no reason to betray us… yet.

Still, Oak had learned long ago to prepare for every eventuality. He would trust Anabel as long as her actions aligned with the greater good, but he had lived long enough to know that loyalty was fragile, especially in times like these. He could handle her betrayal if it came to that, though he hoped it wouldn't.

With a sigh, Oak returned to the maps spread across his desk. The Kanto region had been destabilized in ways that were becoming increasingly difficult to manage. The Kanto Katastrophe, as people had started calling it, had left scars, and though life went on in Pallet Town, he could feel the tension rising. Trainers were restless, resources were stretched thin, and the reports coming in from Mt. Moon were unsettling, to say the least.

His eyes drifted back to the radio as Paige's song played softly in the background. Luna's voice would return shortly with more updates, and Oak found himself strangely grateful for the sound. It reminded him of simpler times, before the chaos, before the world had become such a fragile thing.
