Pokemon Ranger: Crimson Dawn (No SV You are a Kanto Warlord)

The turn was overall pretty good; we didn't succeed at everything but nothing new went wrong

The dark past of Pallet and Oak bring more intrigue

Everyone else is doing pretty well, though Brock is now the quest MVP as far as I'm concerned ; pity the geography means we'd need to go through Giovanni to make deals, though Misty might be am option too

We can reach her by sea.

Yep.

Neat, glad you all enjoy it.

Turn 5
Turn 5

Oak POV

"At least we're finally getting an Income at this rate." You said calmly sipping your coffee as the Ranch grew more and more busy, and with the income from the Fox's masterwork in logistics you can now focus on the things that are important to you.

Like adding more to the Wall and improving the roads and the docks. Alot of the docks arn't in the best of shape and you knew Pallet Town's needed economic recovery would be necessary.

The Connection to the outside world would be an imperative resource that would be necessary in the days to come.

To say nothing of the list of things that you needed to do NOW!

ITS AN ADVENTURE TURN!

When its been Five Turns, you have the opportunity to send yourself or a team out into the world to influence the balance of power.

These could be solving a crisis, or dealing with mundane but important problems that need doing.

(You may only Choose ONE Adventure)

You may assign up to four people on an adventure.

(AN: Due to being locked in a Research Action Bill cannot be sent on an adventure)

[]The Quest of the Missing Boats: Missing Smuggling Boats are a worrying proposition, and looking for them will give you a very lucrative opening. That is if you can FIND them.

[]The Waterflower Connection: Misty Waterflower is contacting you so that you and other like-minded people can form a faction in order to streamline the recovery of the Region, the problem is…dealing with everyone else.

[]The Pallet Underdark: "So Professor, you want us to go down into the Evil FOrmer lab that you bought just to make sure nothing else got out."

"Yes…its not that dangerous." He said.

"I am very scared of this sir."

[]The Indigo Ring: You have been given a letter from the Indigo Platue… curious, they never send letters, this one had a… peculiar request.

"Up."

This can't be good….normally they make long-winded threats about needing you back there for any reason, this is… strange.

-----------------------

BUILD YOUR TEAM!
(You may choose up to four members)

[]Professor Oak.

[]Luna Starlight

[]Anabel

[]Dr. Roose Velt

[]Sheriff Leon Clark.

[]Fox Masters

AN: Plan Format please.

Interesting variety here.
[]The Quest of the Missing Boats: Missing Smuggling Boats are a worrying proposition, and looking for them will give you a very lucrative opening. That is if you can FIND them.
This is a seemingly simple search mission, which may give us loot, and/or economy boni given they are currently the main group trading here at the moment.
[]The Waterflower Connection: Misty Waterflower is contacting you so that you and other like-minded people can form a faction in order to streamline the recovery of the Region, the problem is…dealing with everyone else.
This is wheel and deal path, connecting us to the various people looking to rebuild. But on the other hand, this also has a decent chance to be a somewhat shaken coalition due to Rocket Sabrina being the giant in the room at the moment.
[]The Pallet Underdark: "So Professor, you want us to go down into the Evil FOrmer lab that you bought just to make sure nothing else got out."

"Yes…its not that dangerous." He said.

"I am very scared of this sir."
Delving into Pallet Town's past. More accurately, the world wars era. A mix of threats and possible assets. Not going to be dealing with rival groups, but might be able to stop another unexpected threat from breaking out and causing problems, and we might even find something useful.

This is Lance's little group reaching out to us. The League itself is gone, leaving the conspiracy. But at the same time, it's super nebulous what exactly is meant here. On one hand Agatha hates us, maybe not enough to kill us, but still. On the other hand, Lance is the Leader, and he deliberately left one seat empty, not feeling worthy to take the seat of his role even as he ascended, deliberately not hiring in order to fill out the Elite 4 due to seeing himself as still one of them, just waiting for a successor.

And while the goal is kinda close to traditionalist, back to nature, to the past. Well, given the Clan System, Lance might see Pallet Town, and Oak as the best chance for positive change, and Oak was the one Elite Trainer that may be worthy of the seat Lance was left with.

Never discount what madness could be in the water, dark things are down there.

Alot of dark things.

Meeting new Freinds, dealing with old ones and possibly forming a Hero Faction to deal with Team Rocket, because Spoilers you still need to counterbalance Giovanni if you want to win.

Yeah Pallet Town was pretty fucking wild during the war.

Because Spoilers, If Oak didn't know about it, it should scare you!

Always Assume Lance is not taking his Medicine. And by Meds I mean Common sense.

Because Latias hitting him in the Gut did little to help his Ego.

…So, is his ego like a paradox? :V
Listen when a Baby Legendary Pokemon says no, people don't understand.

And that means a lot for Lance.
Now, it's likely to involve a Pokémon match between Lance and Oak…
Oak, is a lot of things to Lance.

Lance is a CHUMP compared to Oak.
But honestly, I kinda get the feeling that it's Agatha that might try something crazy.
I mean, the 4 are crazy the question is HOW crazy.

They are Metal Gear Villians in Pokemon.

Honestly, given the talk stuff here, I can't help but feel that Lance wants a match to see if Oak is still champion material, whale being his classic diplo disaster self. While Agatha, with an axe to grind might try and exploit Lance's match to get revenge on oak.
While Lorelei is the resident ecoterrorist and Bruno, whom was nagged into joining the Elite 4 by Agatha, is just a battle nut Agatha may have brought in due to, well, possible vulnerability to ghost puppeteering given the Pokémon adventures manga…

Thinking about it? Is Erika one of the more normal Quirky Miniboss squad members that is in the Elite Four's employ?
Probably…

Lance is a social disaster outside of his comfort zone, which is Unusually NARROW. Agatha is full ghost master that can puppet people with an axe to grind. Lorelei may have formed a violent ecoterrorist branch. And funnily enough, Bruno is just a muscle man with a love of the fight, and care for Pokémon.

The other three are tempting yes, but we need to get our diplomacy game going early if we want to stand a chance at fighting team rocket. I picked Oak because he's our leader and should be there personally to sign the alliance. Velt, because he's a known political figure and could help ease any potential tensions. Clark, because he's got quite the presence and could help with the more... difficult parts of negotiation.

I'm open to any and suggestions lads.

EDIT: Added Fox Masters

Throwing two possible plans in the mix to try and encourage discussion.

Though, Fox Masters might be a good choice, given his expertise, the stated goal of the alliance, and possible trade deal opportunities.

Casting my vote to both the coalition building attempt adventure and possibly checking out the Indigo conspiracy. Given as stated, Allie's are the most important, and the Indigo one is for possible opportunities and the sheer threat the Elite four are to whoever their enemies are.
