Pokemon Ranger: Crimson Dawn (No SV You are a Kanto Warlord)

Good, Good, hopefully things pop up. anyway. Anyone got any questions on the Ranch Hands?
Well, we got the two from the omake, establishing names, their old job, badge number and why they found themselves home. Like Jade Starcrest, worker at the Pallet House whom had been fighting only tourists ever since.

Though, kinda wonder stuff like average badge count, and the whole where they were working prior to Oak sending out a call for farmhands. Especially given with various factors, it seems like Pallet Town's main thing through history has been the quality of the local trainers and leaders, given it's vulnerable location, lack of any Gyms, and the history of conflict the town lived through independently in spite of being neighbors to Viridian.

Well most Pallet Town Trainers have 3 to 4 Badges on average, they have many reasons to not finish due to other things.

Pallet Town was more then likely a very large port town before it got damaged by the War, and the previous Era's natural disasters that caused it to shrink.

The Pallet Wall was made to stop invading armies and pokemon hordes.

Ah. So Pallet was an old port town? I guess it really changed a lot since long in the past, given what Pallet Town is like in nearly all materials.

...Honestly, I kind of realized something. Was there ever at any point mention about how many badges trainers usually get?
I thought it might have came up in the anime talking about the unnamed pallet kids that started the same day as Gary and Ash, but nope, Oak gave no number there.

Also...
Looking at the Badge bulbapedia page, it seems the badge boost mechanic stuck around the first 3 generations before being scrapped, and interestingly enough, is a key part of Pokemon Adventures Lore.(TR fusion machine was powered by the full collection of Kanto Badges, and the ecoterrorist Elite 4 took the same premise, but used their island as a gigantic badge energy amplifier to summon/power Lugia[ not sure which] in an attempt to cause a mass extinction event.) And oddly enough, in Avdentures!Manga badges were purely optional till later on, where changes were made to encourage badge collection and to chip away at the reputation earned through TR's and then the Elite 4's usage of the badges.

It makes sense given its location.
....This does open up some potential for Pallet Town History, given that it's practically a tiny town, lacking much in what would expect from a previously big settlement with a thriing trade, especially if one considers even now, Viridian is still likely best supplied through Pallet town, given the mountains to the north and west presenting challenges, while the east lacks good port locations. Especially depending on how the minor gyms are handled, given we have basically no knowledge outside the fact there are more gyms than the 8 we go through, even the very moniker minor gyms are a fan thing and not actual lore. Like, it's possible that Pallet Town might have, at one point have had a Gym, or they could have been the odd one out compared to the big players with the Council fulfilling the same role...

Though we do have that one city with basically two gangs built around wannabe gyms whom battled it out over which get to be the citie's gym.

Council Choosing
Council Choosing

It took what felt like an eternity to get the bureaucracy of Pallet Town sorted out. The sheer volume of paperwork, stacked high in overstuffed filing cabinets, was overwhelming. Every permit, every form, and every forgotten ledger from the past few years had to be meticulously combed through. There were moments when it seemed as if the town's administration had fallen into complete disarray.

The town hall itself, which had long been neglected, was another project entirely. The once-faded façade now gleamed with a fresh coat of paint, a stark white that stood proudly against the blue sky. The windows, previously dulled by years of grime, were scrubbed clean, letting in beams of sunlight that hadn't touched the council chamber in years.

But finally, after all the sorting, scrubbing, and renovating, it felt like the foundation was ready. The Council could be set up, and Pallet Town, small but spirited, was poised to be run properly once again. The people could take pride in their town's new beginning, and with the Council established, there was finally a sense of order—of things moving forward.

All that was left was to bring the people together, to remind them of what Pallet Town had been and what it could become once more. It was more than just paint and paperwork; it was the heart of the community, ready to beat again.

And you did so well, you're going to assign the first council member now while the Iron is hot.

-----------------------------

You looked at the list of candidates and sighed. "I don't even know who half of these people are?"

And it was an honest and true statement the gathering of council members were the most peculiar and odd bunch of people to ever grace Pallet Town.

And in this town, it was saying something.

"Well at least select one so we can say we've done something today." One of the clerks said.

"That seems rather counterintuitive." You said.

"Well, you need an inner circle anyway." The Clerk said.

Choose an Advisor: Will automatically pass the Advisor action in the turn and give you a good advisor.
