I know your joking, but if this was an actual Yugioh Anime the Void would totally be a game mechanic/ Greater villain in it. Who knows, maybe they will add a "Void Zone" where you can send monster cards and once they're summoned out of it they gain new effects. Or you know... since its anime they become entirely new cards.

Shadow Realm. The Void is literally the Shadow Realm.

Dark, magical powers can be drawn from it through ritual sacrifice? Check.
Monsters can be called forth from it to do your bidding and destroy your foes? Check.
Any souls sacrificed to it are believed destroyed/lost forever, with very few exceptions? Check.
Likes contracts and deals being made where violation of said contract results in very, VERY unpleasant things happening? Check.

The Unemptied Ending is not the Shadow Realm exactly. But it's... shadow realm adjacent.

My intent with this story is to make something both yugioh and non-yugioh fans can enjoy. Hopefully that's been shining through.
 
You know, if Himari is an archmage's little sister, than what the hell are her two friends' backstories? If Himari isn't a one-off, then they oughta be juicy.

...A good sentai or magical girl team has about five members. We have three now, and Himari has two friends still stuck in the Guild. 3+2=???

Boss Roze, her lieutenant Nobelle Termina, and their three minions.
 
Well its been a day so i might as well add my votes for the record. Keep at it people, discussion does the quest good!

These might change as more people discuss possible names/catchphrases/Team names. But as people said, we have some good branding here.
 
The sixth ranger is usually some edgy redeemed evil person who still has like half a character arc to go through before they really find peace. But for this team, the sixth member is totally just going to be the one token normal magical girl or Kamen Rider on a team full of void-tainted ex-assassins, aren't they? All sparkling and cheery and talking about solving your ills with the power of friendship, and then Boss Roze casually mentions that when she was going through shit as a kid, her trainers would just throw her into a pool of sharks and tell her to swim or die.

...Now I want to find a normal KR or MaGi teammate just for the shear tonal whiplash. Like the photo of two people, one smiling or cheerful and the other with a look that just stares at your soul.

Kind of want to suggest Antumbra as the name for the team - in the anatomy of a shadow, the umbra is the darkest part, and the penumbra is where the light is only partially obscured. The antumbra, however, is the part of the shadow where the light is made to halo the darkness; solar eclipses are the result of you standing in the antumbra of the shadow cast by the moon upon the earth. It's the part of the shadow where darkness is not winning nor the light encroaching, but both co-existing to create something uniquely beautiful.

...But Umbra-related names are explicitly banned, and it does sound similar enough that there'd absolutely be in-universe confusion, so oh well.

1. Hmm... something simple. How many armors do you want Rei to have? Any limits?
2. I know You said that if Akemi would had been more knight Base Meek Knight and Baronne de Fleur were potential spirits, what would have been the spirits if we had pick the Gun Sword?
3.Has Akemi done any jobs in between Leaving Rei and them Reuniting?
4. Has Himari done any "normal" jobs? You know, between Guild Missions?

  1. I'm aiming for 15-20, counting special/super forms.
  2. Magical Musketeer, Fur Hire, and I can't remember the other one off the top of my head. Probably Zoodiac.
  3. Her skills as a crime scene cleaner… translated weirdly well as a janitor and house cleaner!
  4. Why would she? Commissions from money laundering and stealing just a bit from the occasional megacorp executive got her all she needs (as long as it was approved by the Guild first). Unfortunately, the bank account with all that money was linked to the Guild, so there's no using it for now.

  1. Rei doesn't know. However, she knows for a fact, (from Himari) that there are MGs in the Guild.
  2. I'll answer that later, once we've gotten to the "talk with Purrson" action.
