So, Mordred has united a land filled with Dwarves beneath her., who like her because she can retake dwarven holds that were stolen by greenskins.

All the discontents that wanted things 'My Way' got rolled over.

Will there be more than one developed Capital? I mean to say Industrial center or a Trading center if the border expands to take all the lands that belonged to the Border Princes?

The map shows an area called "Wrecker's Run", will you expand to take it as well?

How will her Government Function? What will the Rank below her run since the Country Expanded?

She is going to live a while, how will the outside change around her? Besides calling her the "Dragon Queen"

isn't the empire currently imploding? its the age of three emperors right now 1547 to 1979 or 2304 depending on whether or not you consider the dark ages or the crowning of Magnus the Pious the end of the age of the 3 emperors. is Mordred going to play king maker for the empire? would she seek to join it in any capacity such as an elector count?

I have no real knowledge or desire to learn how to make a reasonable government so I'm just hand waving it as a background process. In my head I've always imagined something like the USA but with nobles instead of people "voted" in. As much as I enjoy writing this and love reading everyone's responses, it is still just a pleasure project for me and there is only so far I am willing to go for filling in the details. Sorry *shrug*

The map shows an area called "Wrecker's Run", will you expand to take it as well?

Depends, is it confirmed as a part of the border princes? Cause it looks like neutral territory to me.

Will there be more than one developed Capital? I mean to say Industrial center or a Trading center if the border expands to take all the lands that belonged to the Border Princes?

My thoughts were to make 3-4 provinces, one of which is her line's to run and then the others being handed out to other people to run for her. Ironically, not unlike bretonnia where they have the dukedoms with smaller portions of land given to lesser nobles.

She is going to live a while, how will the outside change around her? Besides calling her the "Dragon Queen"

Read and find out :p

would she seek to join it in any capacity such as an elector count?

Why the hell would she do that? She would be betraying everyone who serves under her and all of the mages who rely on her if she did that. The empire present and future is not something her current oaths would let her join, she might not be a dwarf but she is no oathbreaker.

isn't the empire currently imploding? its the age of three emperors right now 1547 to 1979 or 2304 depending on whether or not you consider the dark ages or the crowning of Magnus the Pious the end of the age of the 3 emperors.

Yep, with these constant questions about when Magnus is coming, I might need to go add on to my timeline info post since it clearly isn't doing its job.

I have to wonder, how is Mordred going to handle a couple of the more... interesting settlements and ruins in her new Queendom? I mean, you have the wonderful Castle Blackstone, which is a fortification built by (And now staffed with) exclusively undead workers and a Necromancer. It's filled with a good deal of treasure apparently, so it's actually a possibly good loot piniata if she decides to take it. It would also function as a pretty good fort once you repair it.
Then you have Pendor Hill, which is... heh, an entire town of backstabbing wretches. The amount of "Just as Planned", and "Not as Planned!" going on in that place must be immense, considering it's literally an entire town of Tzeench cultists.

There are a lot of decent places, resources, and people in the Borderlands. It's almost entirely untapped at the moment, but Mordred should be able to make something entirely workable out of it. Especially if she starts to improve the soil for farming, and the like.
She should now control about four decently skilled trade outposts, each selling finished works that are actually good. (Apparently, the place that makes furniture is fairly renowned for it.) So she should have plenty of opportunities to improve her new home.

If more info on Cathay is needed, Total Warhammer 3: the Dawn of Grand Cathay is coming out. You could use that here. The trailer is on youtube now.

A question has been on my mind for a while. How are Mordred and her people interacting with other Faith's, like not just Empire faiths but The Lady, Myrmidia, Verena, Morr, Shallya. Does the Cult of Mordred get along with other faiths? How are the faiths treated in Mordreds Queendom?

I believe it is considered a Border Prince area? Remenants may have fled there to hunt down?

Someone brought up the areas to conquer in the area, a Castle Blackstone, Filled with Undead.. is it a Training Ground for her Child for when they grow up?

Important Question!

Is it a Boy or a Girl?

Edit: *GASP!* Is it Twins?

I have a question wasn't it stated that mc was a man before reincarnation unless he was gay why is she now willing to get on with dudes id stay virgin forever or be lesbian

*prepares the Uno Reverse card*

It is the second most dangerous of all cards. Surpassed only by the x4 card.

Hey OP, this story is fun. I could do with a little more storytelling and a little less 'Mordred narrates a summary of events', though. It can help to try to focus in on specific details to evoke your scenes.

What was it like for the normal dude when the dragon descended to confront Mordred? Was there an aura of menace? Was he afraid? What did that feel like? Was it a sensation somewhere in his body? What was the smell of the land? Was it abysmally hot? Cold? Dry? Humid? Was it like the whole world was an oven and it's all dust and sun-baked earth, or is it more swamp and squelching mud and like being trapped in a sauna with no way out? That scene had a lot of potential, but you needed to build a little tension. From Mordred's perspective the dragon was never a serious threat, sure, but did the Random McDuderson from whose perspective the interlude was told have any idea by how much Mordred outclassed the dragon?

Thanks for the suggestion.

Well, I don't really know much about the lady besides that according to law, only male knights are allowed to worship her and can never retreat or else they forfeit their blessings and that they sometimes abandon their wives and children to chase the dream of becoming what are basically the ladies version of daemons aka grail knights. So I can't really say, probably treated like most religions that aren't the lady but with less respect because it is pretty new.

For other faiths that are part of the main world pantheon like Shallya, Verena, Morr, Tal, Myrmidia, etc. It is actually a pretty easy integration, there is tons of minor gods much like japan has but aren't universally accepted. There are some wild theories on how Mordred fights into their mythology, ranging from Mordred being the daughter of Ranald and Shallya who was raised by Myrmidia or that when Giles Le Breton and Abhorash duelled, Mordred was born from the blood split that day or insert crazy theory here. Mostly, Mordred is just another goddess to the massive amount of gods in the world and is used to fill in as one of the few lightning gods and the only god of magic besides the Architect of Fate.

For the most part, outside of being the capital of the cult of Mordred, faiths in Drachenreich are about the same as anywhere else but Morr as treated more important because of how Mordred has placed such importance of care of the dead, she's done this for several reason, one is to keep the dead bodies lying around to a minimum. a second is it helps contain the undead trying to raise up, another is that since souls are very real here, it is worth the effort to give as many people as possible a chance to go to Morr and not be stuck floating around where anyone from Chaos to necromancers can grab them.

Well, after looking on the wiki, it seems that Wreckers are river bandits, so wrecker's run is probably a stretch of river infamous for them but there is no Wrecker's Run page on the wiki to confirm.

With how many various threats and problems there are in Warhammer, there is no way Mordred would let things like castles filled with undead sit around for decades in her backyard just because she wanted a training tool for her kid. She could just go to the badlands or darklands or ask the dwarfs to let them fight the skaven running around in their tunnels or something. there is no need to make her people suffer just for an easily replaceable training tool.

Important Question!

Is it a Boy or a Girl?

Spoilers~

Seriously, I've spent so much effort into only say Mordred's kid or child that I'm not giving it up that easily. I might be pretty free with spoilers as an author but this is one I want to keep until the next chapter which is when Mordred has finally given birth.
In a fit of irony for the family, it's a boy who likes to pretend he is a girl to be closer to his mother.

That would be interesting but no, Mordred/I would strive not to make any version of Nagisa Shiota. He might be an awesome character but his relationship with his mother is almost as bad and twisted as Mordred's.

I could do with a little more storytelling and a little less 'Mordred narrates a summary of events', though. It can help to try to focus in on specific details to evoke your scenes.

Thanks for bringing this up, part of the reason why I post this is to get this kind of feedback. As much as I love seeing people say how much they love my story and it warms my heart, I really can't improve as a writer without people giving me constructive critique like this. I'll try to keep this in mind as I go forward, I knew I was defaulting to what I refer to as "summarizing" and not actually telling the story but no one had said anything and writing things like interactions between people is so stressful for me that I instinctively avoid it despite the consequences I know it has on the story quality.

If conversations are a problem for you, you can generally avoid them and still tell a good story. A person's actions can tell you quite a lot about them. So can the sort of details they notice when the story is being told from their perspective. Just try to give us enough that we can imagine ourselves there with the characters.

I'll give you an example:

----------

Helmann Erhard had sweat in his eyes. It wasn't a problem at first, but as the column of troops escorting Queen Mordred trundled through the wastes, the dust plume left in their wake announcing their presence far and wide, the sting grew worse and worse, yet his hands remained on the reigns of his horse. The horse was sweating, too, a lather of foam building up on its flanks.

They would need to stop for water soon.

It was hot. Too hot for armor. Not that it stopped the Queen. She rode just ahead of him, and in any other context, the sight of a very pregnant armored warrior-queen riding on the back of a gods-damned unicorn through this heat-scorched waste would have made him doubt his senses even before he had a chance to note how neither she nor her mount seemed to be touched by the heat. She should have looked ridiculous, riding around in her condition, in these conditions, but there was an intensity, a dignity to her that was hard to put into words.

Physically tiny.

So much larger than life.

His grandfather, Ulrich Erhard, had served as her right hand for years. He was the old man's replacement, chosen by the queen herself.

Helmann was a man with big shoes to fill, and every moment beneath the unrelenting sun, his eyes stinging with sweat, made him feel more inadequate to the task.

----------

Not very good, perhaps, but you get the idea. A few concrete details about what it was like to be there. A few things a person does or doesn't do -- such as Helmann not wiping his eyes despite his growing discomfort -- that provide some insight into their character.

Hmmm, after watching the new Cathay Total war clip I'd love to know what people think of Mordred's claims considering that girl turns into an eastern dragon in the Youtube clippie. Think there'd be some interesting comparisons and 'ideas' created from this.

Now to look up how far away she is from Cathay... Hmmm that's a few mountains to run through take Mordred maybe a week :p.

Lastly, I just felt like pointing out how idiotic it was for the peasants of the Empire to flee to Mordred's realm knowing good and well what she is, yet still persist in wanting to "burn the witches!" Just... I know peasants aren't usually portrayed as being the brightest, but you'd think they'd have SOMETHING like survival instincts.
I will note that this happens in the real world too, but coming up with real world examples would not just stray over the "real world politics" line, but jump over it with both feet while laughing like a hyena.

t's more that they mostly intellectually understand but they have been raised to fear magic and hate mages for over a thousand years now, closer to two thousand actually. They might have fled to Drachenreich because the empire was too dangerous, but that doesn't mean they feel that Drachenreich is all that safe. It takes longer then a couple of months for most people to get over a millennia of being taught magic means burn them all.
Quite so. I expect a lot of the newcomers seeing obvious magic to freeze up a bit while they panic internally and then glance both ways and walk away fast. And of course you would have a very few who get to Drachenreich, stay there for a little while, realise they can't handle it, flip completely and then start looking for ways to burn the witches.

A big problem with having stayed in a high-danger environment for too long is that the justified paranoia becomes the new normal. Actually relaxing becomes harder and harder and, well. Sooner or later your default tenseness gets up to a level where it will destroy your mental and physical health. Basically, some of the population is already crippled, they just don't know it yet. In a world as bad as Warhammer Fantasy, that's just how it is. People do try to handle it with alcohol, for example. And it works suppresses things. For a while. But then they end up having alcoholism on top of everything else.

How many may try to anger the Princess?

I know it seems like a Death Sentence, but would some try to mispronounce her name?

An omake?

From Mordred to Moe-dred?

I am certain a Chaos God may do something to fit that as a tease.

Edit: A map shows the Border Prince area, is the group South, closer to the Badlands part of those taken over that they need to protect?

I mean, they are building the wall to the North, is that considered a buffer zone?

She'll get a holy lance that she'll probably never use since Clarent is likely to be way better. If you were asking about the boobjob that Artoria gets when holding a lance then nope, not happening.

Ah thanks. I edited it so to just says the empire.
read this and laughed on the one side yes on the other arturia is biologically like 14 most of the time as she stopped aging once she pulled the sword so her giant breasts actually make more sense even if ooc the reason is clearly to make a big boobed artoria.

If I'm remembering correctly, I had just read a story at the time (can't remember whats it called though) that had a gag piece where a saberface( or was an artoria?) who had been given a spear and then had it taken away which had her boobs grow and shrink in turn.

So, a minor question?

The first dragon that was confirmed killed by Mordred punching headless.

Were they male or female?

How will they show off the body? A giant headless display or carving it up for artifacts?

Were they male or female?

They are a dragon.

I didn't really come up with anything for the dragon besides it being used as a tool for showing off how powerful Mordred is, comedic effect, and spare parts. Thus it doesn't really have a set gender since I didn't think it would matter at any point, so I guess flip a coin or something? Not really sure how whether or not the dragon was male or female matters.

How will they show off the body? A giant headless display or carving it up for artifacts?

They did walk it through the capital of Drachenreich, that's pretty good for showing off but that's mostly because Mordred needs a way to perserve as much as possible so it can be used for neat trinkets and perhaps a suit of armor or two.

When I see "My Life as Mordred in Warhammer", I don't think of someone merging with a Nasu Servant and then isekai-ing to WHF, I think of someone isekai'd to WHF hijacking the body of Malekith or Mallobaude or something along those lines.

Anyway, nice to see overpowered people smacking WHF in to shape.

So the update is going to be late again, this week was not a good one for writing as I've been too tired to write most of the week and my typical "rush it to the finishline on the day I need to post it" has been inhibited by the fact it is my mother's birthday today and I've been celebrating it with her and the rest of the family. So I'll do my best to get it out tomorrow as I've somehow managed to get a lot of the chapter written despite the delays, I just need to finish off the last thousand or so words and maybe do a quick pass over before I post it.

don't rush yourself I and many others know what it's like working long hours into the dead of night before waking up in the darkness of the early morning to do it all over again the next day, so take your time.

Mind helping me out with a lore question? Who is the king of the gods, who is the Zeus of the gods of mankind? Because I see on the wiki that Taal is supposedly the king of the gods but it also says that HIS worshipers are the ones saying that instead of saying that he IS the king of the gods flat out.

Depends on the people in question. In the Old World's humanity, there's no complete Pantheon of the Gods so there's no an established King of the Gods. Polytheism is the order of the day, with Sigmar and Ulric being the major Gods in the Empire. And speaking of major Gods; Bretonnia got the Lady. Tiles and Estalia have Myrmidia. Aside from that, you got the minor worship of Taal, Rhya, Ranald, etc etc.

The Elves and the Dwarfs have the most established Pantheons, with Asuryan and Grungni leading the pack respectively. The Wood Elves got that weird worship of Orion and Arielz which was pretty damn weird.
