@Gear I am absolutely not complaining, but why did we get 4xp for studying magic? I though it was 2XP.
Is efficiency the same as student's boon in that it needs 2XP to be put in to be able to last long enough for an action?

The winning vote only had three actions, so I doubled up on magic study. And yes, it needs 2 XP to increase it's duration to last an action.

In fact, you're only using three actions in your vote right now, including the promised study action. Remember that buying and upgrading spells, or using XP to boost Daryl's Magic and Regen don't cost actions.

Add another action.

@Gear It often improves readability if you put free actions (like casting Student's Boon or not) away from the other actions. Another thing you could do, would be saying "You get four actions, but one is currently locked to study like you promised your mother." Or just: three available actions out of four, maybe

    1.3 First Verse Same as the Second

    Daryl's second week of school was not much different from his first, he worked on his car (Body improved to 'Bad'), Studied for school and improved his magic, which got him a new spell! Though he can't actually cast it yet. (+two notchs to school grades, +Incomparable Efficiency Upgrade lvl 2 spell, +2 XP)

    The greatest deviations were that his ebay auctions on those parts finally all went through, so he was now $500 richer, and that he was going out to Jade Friday evening with his friends. Minus Jace, since his parents don't allow him to go to such places.

    Daryl, Chandra, and Liliana walked in the door of Jade, which was reasonably full of teenagers, and the music, while loud, wasn't the dialed to 11 you'd see on TV when they showed clubs. After getting some cokes and snacks (-$20), the three of you set down at a table. Looking around you see a lot of people from school, including Dack and Marshal sitting over by the cheerleaders, along with Nessa, trying to impress them with their magic routine. Nessa seemed to be a touch bored with the display.

    WoG is that the weaker version did not last long enough to last an action, and thus we would have gotten little or no benefit from it, even if we can cast weaker versions of spells we know. (I do not know if we can)

    You can, if just to keep from having a dozen copies of the same spell in the lists. Weaker castings will cost the same as the full casting though.

    And don't forget, Omakes get you XP too.

    If such a thing was written, would it be possible to apply it to increasing magic before the next turn?
