This might be heavily disagreed with but what's everyone thoughts on sending veterans to Deathwatch? I was thinking that once out 1st gets established and we have more than 50% strength in it (ideally 60+ Marines), we send a 10 man group to Deathwatch. The reasoning for this is that Deathwatch will be a great crucible for those veterans, and I'm hoping we get a special named character with some high stats from it.
Well Deathwatch only takes veterans but we know OOC that bad shit is coming to the Imperium. Of course, Canon could diverge in time but we don't know how much it diverges. Maybe Deathwatch will be in a much better state, maybe it'll be even worse, who know?I'd say it'd depend on how many Veterans we have at that moment. But i'd personally say about 5 to 10 is a good number to send folks out on. of course this would have to be a big decision and depend on what the Deathwatch themselves want.
It's 10 BP per pair, and we've got 40 Assault Marines atm. Add in replacing lost gear and fixing damage and we probably won't be able to afford that.I am voting for any plan in the future that gets us lightning/power claws for our jumpack boys

We can build BP by going to hive or indrustry worlds where we have a good relation with to see if they can diverse some of theres to usIt's 10 BP per pair, and we've got 40 Assault Marines atm. Add in replacing lost gear and fixing damage and we probably won't be able to afford that.
That's true, but it takes a good amount of time, so for at least the short term it's quite unlikely we'll be able to equip our Assault Marines with them. Especially if we form the 8th Company, in which case we'll need another hundred. We can build BP by going to hive or indrustry worlds where we have a good relation with to see if they can diverse some of theres to us
Oh no I wasn't talking about equipping all of our jump pack marinesThat's true, but it takes a good amount of time, so for at least the short term it's quite unlikely we'll be able to equip our Assault Marines with them. Oh that's much more feasible. Maybe for the Assault Marine Veterans of the 1st Company. Whenever that gets formed.Oh no I wasn't talking about equipping all of our jump pack marines
I'm talking a more elite unit
A couple squads at most
Yeah that's what I was thinking we'd eventually doOh that's much more feasible. Maybe for the Assault Marine Veterans of the 1st Company. Whenever that gets formed.
The other planets in the Luctus system are gas giants and barren rocks. As for the decorations, I'll make a post later@ThunderOwl in the future can we get an informational about the absolute drip of the Mist Shrieks? Also are there any noteworthy planets within the Luctus system?
It's the Eldar, they think humanity are a bunch of untrustworthy brutes so they do all sorts of smoke and shadows tactics to throw us off.I have a feeling I'm going to be really pissed when we find out that the Eldar just wanted their stuff and could have left without doing any damage but decided they needed a distraction or something and that's why they were killing people on the planet. Actually thinking about it you think they killed people because they were witnesses? I'm trying to figure out why they didn't just take their shit and go without attacking.
We haven't even got to the new turn order, so let's wait until we can actually make plans. Also, I disagree, I'd rather keep on building up our vehicle pool first.I will vote for any plan that gets storm bolters for our Assault Marines
They need that attractive firepower instead if a bolt pistol
