Again I said yes it does lower stewardship options related to money. I never said otherwise I'd you truly read the entire section. The last one is why are you choosing a DC 40 option to lower a DC 15 option. When it would be easier the other way around.
Regardless, choosing Math would have lowered the DC of the 15 DC action no matter what, because we already earned the reward. The 40 DC action is irrelevant.

Explain how the 15 DC action reduces the DC of the 40 DC action. Or were you assuming?

The level of success we have, the amount the roll is above the DC determines the rewards.

And thus, lowering the DC on the school action would make us more likely to get better rewards.

Read this, because I know you sometimes ignore things: Once we succeed the 15 DC class option, the DC for it will go up, and keep increasing.

Despite the reasons to go math, we didn't, and just got punished for it.

*Raises eyebrow* Punished? How?

The dice. Its called a joke.

Anyway, I bet we just got made fun of for being a baby by Thor and are now the laughing stock at school. If we had picked math we might have a potential future friend with that one girl that likes math.

Or, something even more hilarious, what if our list falls out of our pocket during class and we get made fun of for being a creep.

First and foremost in the last thread general studies gave us a flat bonus to all learning actions.
Second if we had picked it last turn instead of the 40 DC option we would have passed.
Third the DC for stewardship would have been the only thing that went down and even then we wouldn't have passed.
Do you even knows how much DC per point it would have went down?

And this is why I really hate it when people complain about other characters for doing well which leads to complaining about the dice site and wanting them to be changed. Well this is the result, the QM using this sites dice roller thus screwing us over. And what sucks is that our luck was much better in the previous quest and the dice roller site used.

Seriously, our luck was amazing in the last quest. Now we are getting rolls on a site notorious for getting shitty rolls.

We could use rolz.org, it links to the roll on the site, and has embeddable pictures.

What does the site have to do with our luck?

Is the dice on SV bad or something?

I'd hope so because I really hate this sites dice roller. And I really hate it when people make complaints about rolling well and asking the QM to change dice roller sites only to end up with the players getting shitty dice rolls instead.

Third the DC for stewardship would have been the only thing that went down and even then we wouldn't have passed.

The fact you still believe this after I have quoted the QM's post disproving this multiple times shows you refuse to read.

I mean... There is no point in responing to the rest of your argument if you are unable to take in new information. But I will for the others in this thread.

Second if we had picked it last turn instead of the 40 DC option we would have passed.

The argument was whether to choose Math as the reward from the first turn, not whether to go back to the library again. So this is irrelevant.

Do you even knows how much DC per point it would have went down?
Yes. I've quoted you the QM's post that says how much multiple times.

I know.

Loki should become the God of Dice.

We would then get 100 on everything.
It's not that people want perfect dice and succeed on everything. It's just that shitty dice rollers lead to really shitty rolls. It's the difference between failing sometimes and most of the time. And it's not even as fun as failing in a tough video game since at least in most games it's reliant on skills unlike in quests where it's pretty much completely reliant on dice rolls.

Not helped that SV dice roller is known for consistently producing shitty rolls on a consistent basis.

Turn Two Results
-[z] Martial: Train: Hand to Hand, DC 30
Roll:18+5=23
Bad Failure

Loki tries and tries to just...learn something at the training fields. He foregoes the use of weaponry and tries his hardest to learn hand to hand combat. First he tries to emulate the top level warriors he's seen train, and then he tries even to copy his big brother and the moves he used on Loki, when under his alter ego of Megathor. No matter what he tried, Loki just...couldn't pick anything up. His form was bad, his wrists hurt when he punched, his toes crunched when he kicked, and he could never get proper speed or torque on his blows. It's just...nothing worked for him. Maybe he wasn't cut out for this.

Loki learns absolutely nothing. +5 DC to this action next turn.

-[z] Diplomacy: Make friends during your lessons...and during training! DC 25
Roll: 11+6=17
A Failure

Loki puts his happy face on and...socializes. He walks up to various classmates and tries to strike up conversation, but no matter what he does, no one seems to want to say much to him. At most he gets one word answers or weird looks, and eventually they simply ignore him. Loki furrows his brow. What is he doing wrong? Why did no one seem to like him? Even Thor...

With a sniff, Loki picks himself up and tries again and again and again. But to no avail. He just...didn't seem destined to have friends.

-[z] Stewardship: Request Lessons from the Instructor on finance and how to run the kingdom. Surely he'd listen! DC 45
Roll: 25+6=31
Failure.

Being a prince, Loki is easily able to request a lesson or two from a proper instructor. The instructor was said to be a financial wizard and to have intimate knowledge of how to run a kingdom, at least theoretically. Unfortunately for Loki, everything the instructor said went in one ear and out the other. Loki learned... a grand total of nothing from his lessons, much to his disappointment and only wasted his time trying to listen.

+5 DC to this action next turn.

-[z] Intrigue: Study the classmates you don't know. Get the full rest of the picture. DC 15
Roll:30+7=37
A good success!

One thing Loki is successful at, is getting a read on his classmates. First, he notices that Amora is gone from the classroom completely. After some snooping, Loki finds out that Thor is the reason. Or at least, Megathor. Megathor, apparently lived up to his title of 'scalper of women' and cut Amora's beautiful blonde locks, for his...collection. In response, Amora cried and yelled at the prince, and told him to 'go jump off a bridge, you wicked child' and to everyone's surprise, Thor did just that. Thankfully, once Thor jumped, he was able to maneuver himself in mid-air and grab onto the bridge's ledge, stopping his fall. He then called out for help, and a guard came and saved him.

It appears that some kind of magic had awakened in her, which caused Thor to...listen to her command. Being repentant and young, Amora wasn't blamed for her actions, and instead was simply warned and kept away from Asgard's princes, just to be safe. So she was still in school, only not allowed around Loki or Thor in any fashion. Huh. OK.

With that figured out, Loki went on to finish his list detailing his classmates and their personalities.

Amora: Smart and driven. Blonde hair. Likes Green. A girl.
Sif: Clever and strong. Black hair. Likes...to fight. And train. Doesn't like...weakness and magic. A girl.
Elym: Smart. Good with math/numbers. Likes...math. Doesn't like people. Brown hair. A girl.
Astrid: Quiet yet determined. Likes gardening, singing, and running. Red Hair. A girl.
Sigyn: Loyal. Likes to heal and help others. Blonde Hair. A girl
Fandral: Witty. Blond-red hair. Likes...girls. A lot. Doesn't like to get hurt. A boy.
Volstagg: Strong, kind of dumb. Red hair. Likes to eat. Doesn't like to run. A boy.
Branson: Loud, bolsterous. Weak. Likes to brag and boast. Doesn't like those who don't pay attention to him. Black hair. A boy.
Osmond: Analytical and logical. Like to breakdown things and figure out how they work. Likes to play chess. Likes Science. Dislikes illogical things and emotions. Brown hair. A boy
Eirik: Lazy. Likes to sleep. Likes to nap. Likes food. Dislikes work. Dislikes loud people. Blonde hair. A boy.

-[z] Learning: Visit the Library, you've heard so much about all of the different books! So much opportunity, so little time...
--[z] Continue Learning what you touched on last time. DC 40
Roll:21=7=28
A failure.

Loki revisits the library and tries to learn more about magic and how it works. Unfortunately he can't find much that he doesn't already know. Disappointed, Loki continues his reading, searching for anything he can use to further study magic, but nothing pops up. Dejected, Loki finishes the year without learning a thing. If he couldn't even study well, what use was he?

-[z] Personal: Relationships: Spend time with some of your favorite people in the world! (Father)

Roll: 5

Loki...tries to spend time with his father Odin, but he's rejected every time. The All-Father is either too busy or too tired or just plain doesn't want to spend time with his youngest son in any way or fashion. Loki keeps at it, bugging is father, trying over and over again, until he snaps.

"ENOUGH LOKI!" He yells. "I am the King. I do not have time to spend with a whimpering child. Go to your mother if you want attention, I have a kingdom to run, Loki."

His words cause Loki to shrink back in fear and in rejection, as he receives what he perceives to be his father's hate and vitriol. Odin only shakes his head and exhales as he has Loki escorted away.

God dammit Odin, we're finally trying to have a good relationship with you and you pull this shit.

Okay, seems like we should really avoid picking options with DC high enough that it's either a coin flip or unlikely to happen considering that we just started off. Also hoping the QM starts using the old dice roller site considering how much the SV one sucks.

[] Plan: Loki the Great

Martial:
----------
[] Train: The expectations haven't changed
--[] With your mother, DC 40 Intrigue, DC 15 Martial

Diplomacy:
---------------
[] Bring a present to the instructor or trainer, it couldn't hurt to have them like you more. DC 12

--------------------
[] Request Lessons from the Instructor on finance and how to run the kingdom. Surely he'd listen! DC 50

Intrigue:
--------------
[] Study the classmates you don't know. Get the full rest of the picture. DC 15

Learning:
-------------
[] Pay extra attention to your Classes and try to excel! DC 15

[] Relationships: Spend time with some of your favorite people in the world!
-[] Heimdall

Author Notes: Chose relatively low DC option to allow us to actually achieve something, might be a good idea to make a friend in Heimdall with what he can teach us. The high stewardship choice is due to the rest needing our intrigue votes. Loki is always a Mama's boy.
