Let's make an AI when Thanos has the mind stone, superior technology, and a superior AI, to yoink all of our progress and disable our critical systems that are reliant on this AI.
And if our systems are not reliant on this AI, what's the point/benefit of building one?

Or, we can focus on our strengths.
We have the bodies of Ultron and a mage that can enchant. Just pulla doctor soon and combine or enchant the programing.

That
That right there is how you give the enemy magitech
Jarvis a less then advanced AI crafted by a human was able to seal Ultron in to one body. That is the only way we can completely kill Ultron. The sooner we create Jarvis the more he can learn to prepare for the conflict. Focus the program to kill Ultron and if that doesn't work have a virus in it. The virus activates if Ultron tries to absorb it.

But I don't want to kill Morpheus with a virus.

I want him to know he's the second favorite kinda son. I want him to visibly see how Loki is superior to him.

Then I want to skullfuck his mainframe. I don't think we should try to match him in tech though, for real. I want to continue expanding tech and binding until he becomes an outdated relic. Then I want to seal him into a toaster.

I wasn't trying to match him in tech, I was going to use magic to bridge the gap. We can't ignore technology because we already spread it.

So, reading the discussion, I think it's obvious that the QM definition of "medium" difficulty is different from many of the player base. Essentially, he will not go for the jugular For an autowin. Just create an unbeatable opponent who develops faster than us, is more powerful than us, and is always more succesful in his endeavors. But will only kill our family, allies, and maybe take out only a leg.

Next go around of this game, we may want to ask him to put on "easy" mode. Maybe "very easy" mode.

Has anyone watched "The Protagonist is Overpowered but Overly Cautious"? Next go around we probably should adopt the mindset of that protagonist. It's too late this time around- but something to keep in mind next time.

Edit: Also, an observation: the QM has an interesting view of technological development in the Marvel universe. Namely, that it is mostly static until the movies. Note that Wakanda last game was technologically similar to its movie counterpart (I believe they were modern Marvel technology 1000 years before the movies). And, now, Thanos is of similar technology to his movie counterpart.

@KnowledgeKing
The attempted assassination and attack I was referring to was the invasion of Asgard.

Also, you cite the fact that Thanos made his "killing half the population" plan in order to save Titan as him being insane. From an actual world perspective, that would be true because Malthusianism is largely considered incorrect thanks to technological developments outstripping population growth (Malthus basically believed that population growth was faster than food production). But, we know that in the MCU Titan did destroy itself due to resource starvation. And, in your MC where technology is largely stagnant...he might actually have been right.

So, the plan is not a sign of insanity in of itself in this game universe, but of statistics and desperation. (Whether he was right for Titan in the MCU is unclear. According to him, it worked on Gamora's planet. So, could be sane and correct but ridiculously and amorally ruthless there.)

His current plan to "save the universe", however is so ill defined that I cannot make a judgement because it is not clear how starting multiple wars with Asgard helped. Also, where is the motivation coming from? In the MCU, it seems Thanos thought "I let my people die. That will not happen again. "

But in this world, his people lived. Why immediately go conquer?

@KnowledgeKing even if the re-roll fails, all the dwarves can't be dead right? There would have to be some number of remnants somewhere. Can we get a roll that fails, but still leaves some dwarves? How high would that need to be.

High enough not to lose the fight.

I mean...not really. Thanos is just tough (not unbeatable) because he's Thanos. And partially because of rolls (steal Odin's knowledge). Even on easy mode if you waltz up to the endgame boss he's like...a problem. Yeah he might not have Morpheus but like...

Also Thanos is far less successful. He's been studying the same thing for the past few turns and hasn't succeeded yet, meanwhile Asgard has made significant strides in Tesseract, Tablet, and Technology (the three T's).

As for technology, Wakanda was at like 1990's level last game. I'd consider them well into the future in the MCU, so that also isn't true.

And Thanos is insane not just because he said to kill half the population, but he said to do it randomly. Like it's double insane. Imagine if against all odds all the doctors and farmers and...productive people were in that half. It wouldn't even be sound on a statistical level. Now remember that he' literally advocating for official, gov't sponsored genocide and...it climbs to heavy levels of crazy. Didn't even suggest to like...try population control with birth numbers or to move off planet or colonize or anything. Right to the genocide. Cuckoo.

And now it's like..."I barely saved my planet due to outside inspiration, intellect, and an infinity stone (the three I's). Imagine how many other worlds are suffering without someone like me to aid them, to guide them, as Loki guided me, to salvation. I must right this wrong. I must...save them. I must save them all."

Imagine how many other worlds are suffering without someone like me to aid them, to guide them, as Loki guided me, to salvation. I must right this wrong. I must...save them. I must save them all."

This guides me to believe he mixed crazy from comics and movies, on one side he is obsessed with saving universe, on other he is obsessed with Loki like he was obsessed with Lady Death, but in more fatherly/admiration way. Not really out for character that wished to kill half/entire universe .

Omake: The Weak Prince
The Weak Prince

"Are you certain you wish to do this, my love?"

Handing Gungnir over to Sigyn, Loki put on the Járngreipr. Clenching his fist, Loki tested to see if the gauntlets fitted perfectly.

"Yes." Turning to Sigyn, he held her hands in his own, "And this is something that I have to do on my own."

Sigyn understood what Loki meant by that. With a grimace, she nodded in agreement and left Loki, taking the spear with her.

Sighing deeply, Loki made his way towards the training ground at the back of the royal library.

Heart pounding, Loki was hoping that he never confronted Thor yesterday. The oaf was doing his own thing for the last five years. Spending time in the library, which frankly scared Loki. Thor... studying, was Ragnarok near?

Loki wouldn't have asked Thor anything at this point. But, his attack on Titan last month made him a headache for Loki. Especially after that harrowing chat, he had with the Mad Titan. Loki and Thor need to be on the same page, standing together against Asgard's enemies.

So, in his infinite wisdom, Loki challenged Thor to a fight. One thing that Thor was infinitely better at than Loki.

----------------

Standing in front of the walking thunder behemoth, Loki again took another minute to regret his decision.

Sighing deeply, he steeled his heart. Looking over, Járngreipr, he gave the Asgardian crest that was etched into the back of the Uru gauntlets a look.

Enchantments that Loki made when he found the Uru gauntlet in the armoury. Tiny runes can be seen if one looked closely at the crest.

Their role was to increase the wielder's strength with each landed strike but reset it after the 5th strike. The runes also allow the wielder to withhold the power behind the first four strikes to gain one super hit.

As soon as Loki entered the arena, Thor rushed at him. Without warning, or... well, anything. Thor, shrouded in electricity, with Mjolnir raised above his head, ran towards Loki.

Loki, who saw the oncoming storm, cursed under his breath. "Norns Above!"

Dogging the back-hand swing of Mjolnir, Loki blocked the first blow that came crashing soon after. Taking a step back to avoid Thor's elbow, Loki snaked his fist inside Thor's defence and punched him in the face.

Releasing a grunt, Thor dismissed the punch and continued his onslaught.

Dogging and deflecting Thor's attack's wore Loki down. A punch to the sternum was all it took for Loki to lose his breath. A hammer to the face and Loki flew back to hit the enormous training wall.

Thor releasing heavy breaths glared menacingly at Loki. "Pathetic, as always. No wonder, Asgard was attacked under your care."

Grunting in pain, Loki stood up. Gritting his teeth, he released a hateful sigh. "Well, at least I was here for the attack. Where were you?"

Advancing with purpose, Loki lept at Thor. Thor anticipating this, sidestepped and brought Mjolnir in an uppercut. Loki doubled over to his left and created distance between him and Thor by punching him in his throat.

Jumping back, Loki around him. Asgardian skies were filled with Thunder and Lightning. All too familiar for the Asgardian people, the thunderous weather was lashing out.

Realizing this, Loki came to a conclusion. Thor was hurt, just as much as he was. Loki quickly shifted his balance as he saw Thor ready to throw his hammer.

The hammer came at full speed. In anticipation, Loki put forth his arms out in a manner similar to catching something.

"ᛅᛒᛦᚱ" Loki caught the hammer with his hands, but the momentum of the weapon was powerful that it threw him back. And for the second time in a minute, Loki's body met with the walls of the training ground.

Lying on the ground, Loki grimaced. 'Finally,' Tilting his head, he saw the hammer sticking to the ground, shaking like a leaf. The binding worked.

Bringing his legs to his chest, Loki pushed them against the ground in a quick motion and stood up.

"Alright. Let's do this." Proclaiming loudly, Loki rushed again at Thor.

Thor seeing this, became disconcerted and tried calling his hammer back to protect himself. But his attempt was met with no result.

Before he could inspect, why Mjolnir didn't respond to his command. He was jumped on by Loki, who planted his knee on Thor's face.

Thor blocked the knee but was pushed back from the attempt. Knowing Loki's tricks, Thor accepted that he will have to fight without his hammer for now.

Dogging Loki's punch, which was directed at his face, Thor aimed for Loki's abdomen. Loki, with his superior combat abilities, was able to block Thor's punch with his left elbow.

Blows after blows were met with blocks, for both of the warriors. Seeing that neither of them could gain the upper hand over the other, Thor yelled in frustration and tackled Loki to the ground.

Punching Loki in the face, Thor released all the frustration he held with his younger brother. It was his fault that Asgard was attacked, it was his fault that the Titan was not punished for its crime. It is his fault that his mother and father are hurt. It is his fault that he didn't call Thor back soon.

Punch after punch, Loki's face was bloodied at this point. The younger prince tried defending himself from Thor's blows. But, the latter's massive constitution allowed Thor to bypass any defence that Loki tried putting up.

It was on his twelfths blow that Thor stopped to see the mess he made of Loki's face. Horror crept up his body as he saw what he did.

"L-Loki?" Fear laced Thor's voice. What did he do? No... No, Thor was supposed to teach Loki a lesson, not kill him. "Bro-Brother." Hoping to get some response out of Loki, Thor tried shaking the latter's body.

Loki, who was barely holding onto his conscience, felt Thor shaking him. Opening his eyes, he tried glaring at Thor, trying to convey his annoyance, but the swollen eye made it hard to do so.

Raising his hand, in return, to stop Thor's incessant voice. Loki tapped Thor four times on his shoulder. When he was sure that he held Thor's attention, Loki mustered all the strength he had to land the fifth punch on Thor's face.

As soon as the gauntlet met Thor's face, the crown prince went up flying. Landing far away with a thud, Thor grunted in pain. Loki chuckled, hearing this, but the pain soon made him stop. It wasn't seconds after that Loki lost himself to Nótt.

Merry Christmas, folks! Hope you have a wonderful day.

@KnowledgeKing Can I get the ting? And place them in the re-roll.

P.S I would have written another omake, but my fever made it difficult for me to concentrate on the laptop screen. Sorry, guys.
