So, now that Therese is officially a marshal where does she rank if put on a list with the real life versions of Napoleon's Marshals if we were to not get anything else done from here on out?
Is she second only to Nappy B or is she only around the top of the list with Davout and the like still being better.

The state may not have a great interest in seeing that… but you do. DC: ??? Cost 5 wealth. Reward: You start a humanitarian association to help the French's Most Vulnerable after this War.

Sorry, but no leniency, but booze makes it all better, besides wine is very French and a Royal brand would make it semi-successful no matter what

We really should consider throwing the maximum amount of omake bonuses allowed on one action (+50 IIRC) on the Robespierre action, just to ensure it goes well.

The DC for that action, if we chose Death, is 10. Putting more than that in bonii is a waste. Unless you want to try for a high number in the hope that means he is not seen as a martyr?

Saint Regimous is one of the patron saints of France, and is the one who converted Clovis and his family, and is widely considered one of the most important saints of France in the Pre medieval ages.

As for the Order of Saint Regimous, it's a fictional award created by Napoleon for any citizen that has and I quote "Protected France from a grave danger, where its destruction was emminant"
What?...

Oh you mean Saint Rémi! That's neat. If you want to use his latin name it's Remigius, though. I honestly prefer Saint Rémi, though.

Right now, the rankings are pretty much the same,

Though Severin and Murat are tied for number 10, because while the dandy man is good... Severin is also mad enough to keep going.

I was using the English name from wiki.

This time however, we have Napoleon friendly judges.
On the Rob vote.
How friendly? Friendly enough where the execution and trial options are almost the same?

Is this time-sensitive? If we pick don't this will Brian stay and then we can pick it next turn?

Friendly enough to skew evidence in our favor. But not friendly enough to make it a kangaroo court.

Brian will be going to America during this turn and it will be replaced by another action.

So yes it is.

Really want to roll the dice on Rob. The last trial he had effectively no bonii and Brian had a +20, only reason he lived was he high-rolled and Brian got an average one, adding the fact that the Children incident is still fairly recent, I think the +20 modifier is gonna be higher, then higher again cause of the judges.

There's also risk either way, but the martyr risk is gonna be less troublesome if the dice are fickle.

I say we have a trial as that would show to Europe we are a just empress. Especially since we have just thrown down a military law reform.

I'll say this again... give Robespierre a trial and we risk having him snake his way out of punishment and he'll seize the opportunity to vanish and become a problem again. We are not letting him slip through our grasp again!

We can justify skipping a trial this time by making Robespierre out to be the main cause for the formation of the Second Coalition (his plunging of France into civil war gave Britain the chance to form the Second Coalition) and by pointing out that he fled France after the civil war with the aid of unidentified foreign agents, meaning that we can argue that he's an agent of a foreign power. Also, most European powers would be glad to be rid of him, since they won't have to worry about him formenting revolutions in their countries.

I'm not that against his death, the guy's crazy. It's just even the flavor text says he has no chance.

[]The Trial of the Century: Robespierre will once again get a trial, but with the evidence against him, he will most certainly die. Cost 3 Wealth DC: ??? Reward: Robespierre is once again brought to trial.
I'm just arguing that I wanna kill him this way, I'm not saying there's no chance, just that it's unlikely enough to be negligible. The other thing is that there's also a risk he becomes a martyr.

I don't think the Rothschilds even want him anymore anyway. But someone else probably does though.

On blaming him for the civil war, yeah people will believe that, but the other factions probably won't or it won't be as big a deal as it should be for them. The Children are proof enough of that.

The thing I will say is this: if Robe is given a trial, the only way he walks free is if you roll a nat 1 with no bonuses. Anything less then they will either confine him, exile him or kill him.

I say give him a trial, I've always had a soft spot for good old Robby, and lets give him this one last speech

Plus it'll be more official that way when we execute him

I will say not giving him a trial is tempting but we have to remember that we are heads of state, we are supposed to be impartial, or at least to keep the facade of such, at all times. If we kill him without trial it would open a lot of problems along with showing the people disagreeing with us how much of a tyrant we are that we would deny a trial, even on whose outcome is obvious, to a Frenchman, no matter his political views and the depth in which he threw himself to make his vision a reality.

After all, no matter how depraved he is Justice must be rendered by peers in a court even if it is one whose opinion sway heavily in our favour.

I am also wary of the possible negative effect an execution without trial would have upon the national spirit.

Yeah I have to agree, besides we can set up the bonus to counter a low roll as I'm concerned about making Robby a martyr. The last thing we need is more people like him coming down the line.

Unless Mag has something we can do to counter or remove any penalties like that.
