Who Alexander I sent West:
The Balls of this man, taking 10 million in silver from the British and sending only 30,000 men under Benningson to fight Frenchmen!
The absolute madman! I mean I know he just came to power, but my god, he just took his ten pieces of silver and walked barely sending anyone to help.
I think they believe the British are up to some fuckery.

I'm thinking it's less of a march and more like a military parade tour across Europe, with many stops in cities along the way to 'stock up on supplies'.Let me guess. Alexander and the General leading the army gonna go do slow of a march as possible and when the fighting is over or seems like there is a clear winner they'll decided what to do?
One thing is for certain is Alexander isn't making a lot of friends with....anyone really.
I think he is more worried about how many friends he has inside Russia.
And he doesn't really need to worry about pissing the other powers of Europe off. Russia is the indispensable player in Europe right now (though most of the other players likely haven't realized yet). Whatever he does, the British can't defeat France without Russia and France can't get peace without a minimum of Russian neutrality. If either side tires of whatever Russia is pulling and decides to go 1812 on Russia's butt, well... Things rapidly get problematic, even if they can avoid most of Napoleon's disasters in his OTL invasion of Russia.

Yeah, if we ever fight Russia, it'll have to be a defensive war.Oh our Character Therese is gonna make sure we don't do a invasion of Russia that's for sure.
Let's just say that Alexander is not so keen on going on foreign adventures when he has some… house cleaning to do.Alexander is being pretty ballsy with the GB. Then again he probably suspects GB of trying to weaken other nations. On the other hand GB won't be happy with what Russia is doing so might do something to them later. Perhaps influence Austria and Prussia to do it with maybe Sweden
I think he cares less about the face he loses and more about the silver Britain is throwing around like candy. One thing is for certain is Alexander isn't making a lot of friends with....anyone really
I will say that he is not happy about Britain, not Russia or other European powers starting shit with France.I can't believe Tsar Alexander I has already decided that the coalition has outlived its usefulness to him and Russia that he'd send so little help to the rest of the coalition (but then again, he seems to realize that the French are more capable of causing him problems than the British are... also, he may have been sincere about what he said about helping him win the civil war that had an unexpectedly anticlimactic ending)
Especially when Russian emperors want to do their own thing.britain: ''maybe breaking treaties and showing ourselves as unreliable in keeping our word in agreements was a bad idea just before asking others to join our alliance
Russia is the ducking bear that will maul us if we do not stop and be very careful.Man, and here I thought the Pain Train that is Suvorov was coming to kick our Asses with, like, 120.000 Vodka-drunk bloodthirsty Russians.
Thank God for Alexander pulling a sneeki-breeki on the Brits...and even better, he has a (technically) perfectly valid justification for only sending so little, what with his Country having just gotten outta a Civil War and all.
On the other hand...if we do end up on opposing sides again when he's serious about things, he could make a formidable foe.
Russia won't become irrelevant for the next 200 years. And he doesn't really need to worry about pissing the other powers of Europe off. Russia is the indispensable player in Europe right now (though most of the other players likely haven't realized yet). Trying a Baltic landing from other areas…Maybe AT MOST try what we did with Sicily and launch an amphibious Decapitation-Strike against St. Petersburg, but aside from that it'll have to be guard the Border and smash any Russian Army that comes at us.
All I shall say for that situation...Napoleon, as portrayed in this quest gives me the heebie jeebies
Therese has never really struck me as ambitious. Certainly impulsive, and prone to believing she has the right idea, and doing what she believes is right (which she normally does thanks to SV) but never ambitious. Also, a family with two ambitious generals in it is going to be a disaster. Especially if they want kids (and if Napoleon goes Emperor-mode in this history, he will need heirs).
Well, you could try raising your kids right, even as a general. What is the use of saving France for this generation if marrying Napoleon means that emperor Napoleon II is an absolute mess whose ineptitude destroys France?
Is that where a list of quotes is either her talking to her kids or to her generals? We have to work out which it is in each case.So what do you all want?
A marshal, or a mother set of quotes.
Quotes talking about or describing Therese. Is that where a list of quotes is either her talking to her kids or to her generals? We have to work out which it is in each case.
But it doesn't HAVE to be. I think that recent Conversation between Therese and Napoleon shows that the Potential for it not being toxic/dysfunctional IS there. In fact, unless you really work hard at it, this relationship is doomed to be toxic or at the very least, dysfunctional.
Indeed, we never wanted for it to only be a toxic mess where you would be forced to swallow your pride and pretty much follow Napoleon's will, or shit like that. But it doesn't HAVE to be. I think that recent Conversation between Therese and Napoleon shows that the Potential for it not being toxic/dysfunctional IS there.
Indeed, the persistence of the SV questers are insane to even behold.Sure, it's not gonna be easy, but hey: We're SV-Questers. When have we EVER backed down from a Challenge? (Even against our better Judgement.)
Pretty good."The lass is every bit as brilliant as her wizard of a father. I only met him once, but he did damned fine work. He kept a great many men safe with some arcane arithmetic. And her? Taking a city by storm with hardly any casualties, and halting superior armies with forethought and preparation! An angel of victory for France!"
--Matteo Anselme Severin, August 1795
Eh....I think Stalin's purges will probably be tame in comparison.
That was the only comparison that I could think of in a short notice.Eh....I think Stalin's purges will probably be tame in comparison.
For one, a lot of his potential enemies had have a revolution to deal with them. Here, Alex has both enemy nobles, officers, and dissents to purge.
