Who Alexander I sent West:

The Balls of this man, taking 10 million in silver from the British and sending only 30,000 men under Benningson to fight Frenchmen!

The absolute madman! I mean I know he just came to power, but my god, he just took his ten pieces of silver and walked barely sending anyone to help.

I think they believe the British are up to some fuckery.

Alexander is being pretty ballsy with the GB. Then again he probably suspects GB of trying to weaken other nations. On the other hand GB won't be happy with what Russia is doing so might do something to them later. Perhaps influence Austria and Prussia to do it with maybe Sweden?

One thing is for certain is Alexander isn't making a lot of friends with....anyone really.

I can't believe Tsar Alexander I has already decided that the coalition has outlived its usefulness to him and Russia that he'd send so little help to the rest of the coalition (but then again, he seems to realize that the French are more capable of causing him problems than the British are... also, he may have been sincere about what he said about helping him win the civil war that had an unexpectedly anticlimactic ending)

britain: ''maybe breaking treaties and showing ourselves as unreliable in keeping our word in agreements was a bad idea just before asking others to join our alliance''

tho im curious, doesnt the malus of breaking the treatie make ''neutral-ish'' nations less likely to join?

Let me guess. Alexander and the General leading the army gonna go do slow of a march as possible and when the fighting is over or seems like there is a clear winner they'll decided what to do?

With the way things are going there are gonna be Three great powers in Europe. Britain from their navy and money, France from basically having the best armies along with many Sister States and if we have our way some industry run by Therese, and big boy Russia from just not getting hurt from the conflicts and will probably start using that British money to build up a little.

I'm thinking it's less of a march and more like a military parade tour across Europe, with many stops in cities along the way to 'stock up on supplies'.

Man, and here I thought the Pain Train that is Suvorov was coming to kick our Asses with, like, 120.000 Vodka-drunk bloodthirsty Russians.

Thank God for Alexander pulling a sneeki-breeki on the Brits...and even better, he has a (technically) perfectly valid justification for only sending so little, what with his Country having just gotten outta a Civil War and all.

On the other hand...if we do end up on opposing sides again when he's serious about things, he could make a formidable foe.

I think he is more worried about how many friends he has inside Russia.

And he doesn't really need to worry about pissing the other powers of Europe off. Russia is the indispensable player in Europe right now (though most of the other players likely haven't realized yet). Whatever he does, the British can't defeat France without Russia and France can't get peace without a minimum of Russian neutrality. If either side tires of whatever Russia is pulling and decides to go 1812 on Russia's butt, well... Things rapidly get problematic, even if they can avoid most of Napoleon's disasters in his OTL invasion of Russia.

Oh our Character Therese is gonna make sure we don't do a invasion of Russia that's for sure.

Britain on the other hand might get some ideas. Maybe they'll get Austria, Prussia and Sweden to do what they did to France? Not adding Ottoman Empire or the Asian countries yet because don't know how far Britain has gone yet with colonies. Not saying it would work but Britain might get ideas if Russia pisses them off enough. Then there is them just destroying Russian ships and trading if they want to play it safe.

Let's just say that Alexander is not so keen on going on foreign adventures when he has some… house cleaning to do.

by that I mean purge like Stalin did.

as for the soldiers he sends? Hey maybe the men are going to do well.

I think he cares less about the face he loses and more about the silver Britain is throwing around like candy.

I will say that he is not happy about Britain, not Russia or other European powers starting shit with France.

Also he fears Russia may get a humiliating treaty as a cobeligerent.

Especially when Russian emperors want to do their own thing.

Russia is the ducking bear that will maul us if we do not stop and be very careful.

Russia won't become irrelevant for the next 200 years.

they are very key to Europe.
Maybe AT MOST try what we did with Sicily and launch an amphibious Decapitation-Strike against St. Petersburg, but aside from that it'll have to be guard the Border and smash any Russian Army that comes at us.
Trying a Baltic landing from other areas…

might be crazy enough To work.

[X] No momma. He's my dog. I'll do it.
-[X] Invade Naples: Even you knew Ferdinand would attempt to reclaim Sicily for his kingdom, and he would assault the Island to kill your Sister Republic. That cannot come to pass, go and defeat them anyway.
-[X] The Army of the North: Your former comrades… and new conscripts, are mustering near Orleans, preparing an offensive against the Vendee. You will go there, and you will stop them… maybe save them. Hopefully, Marmot will see the reason, and join your cause. (Go with the Army of the Orient to Orleans and try and reason with the Army of the North. If not… destroy them)

And you could only say one thing:
[X]No

Napoleon, as portrayed in this quest gives me the heebie jeebies. Also, a family with two ambitious generals in it is going to be a disaster. Especially if they want kids (and if Napoleon goes Emperor-mode in this history, he will need heirs). What is the use of saving France for this generation if marrying Napoleon means that emperor Napoleon II is an absolute mess whose ineptitude destroys France?

All I shall say for that situation...

GOOD! It means one of the things me and Cyber agreed on is at least showing in our writing.

Cyber and I wanted to make people feel uncomfortable with Napoleon when it comes to his obsessions and his love life. We based Napoleon's... well, attempts and romance, based off some of his more... extreme moments when he was dating Josephine, and during their marriage. While Nappy is dutifully faithful and has not betrayed your trust yet... who's to say his paranoia might tell him otherwise.

Therese being his main obsession here, is in a relationship that is not based around mutual trust, at least not entirely, and that is not a healthy way to start married life.

In fact, unless you really work hard at it, this relationship is doomed to be toxic or at the very least, dysfunctional.
Also, a family with two ambitious generals in it is going to be a disaster. Especially if they want kids (and if Napoleon goes Emperor-mode in this history, he will need heirs).
Therese has never really struck me as ambitious. Certainly impulsive, and prone to believing she has the right idea, and doing what she believes is right (which she normally does thanks to SV) but never ambitious.

At least considering the actions taken so far, in terms of political power.

She's bat shit insane when it comes to coming up with new strageum to wreck people with.
What is the use of saving France for this generation if marrying Napoleon means that emperor Napoleon II is an absolute mess whose ineptitude destroys France?
Well, you could try raising your kids right, even as a general.

So what do you all want?

A marshal, or a mother set of quotes.

A marshal, or a mother set of quotes.
Is that where a list of quotes is either her talking to her kids or to her generals? We have to work out which it is in each case.

a=army b=both c=children d=didn't

1. You are all behaving like children!
2. Well played, you outsmarted me again.
3. I want you to write down what you did and why I am cross about it.
4. I expected better of you. France expected better of you. Be better!
5. Practice makes perfect. Another 10,000 hours of practice.
6. And who is this stick figure you present me with?
7. Wash your messy hands before approaching the table.
8. Has anyone seen my map case?
9. I think you will find that the authority is mine.
10. Rest. We have a busy day tomorrow.
11. When you are outnumbered there is always the risk of being outflanked.
12. You can't eat cannonballs, but you can attack with onions and cabbages!
13. If you take it in then you will be responsible for feeding and exercise. They must be cared for not just when you want them, but when they want you.
14. Napoleon is an idiot!

(Don't worry QMs, you don't have to adopt these quotes)

But it doesn't HAVE to be. I think that recent Conversation between Therese and Napoleon shows that the Potential for it not being toxic/dysfunctional IS there.

Sure, it's not gonna be easy, but hey: We're SV-Questers. When have we EVER backed down from a Challenge? (Even against our better Judgement.)

Indeed, we never wanted for it to only be a toxic mess where you would be forced to swallow your pride and pretty much follow Napoleon's will, or shit like that.

No, you are your own person, not controlled by Napoleon or his ego.

If he does shit you don't like, call him the fuck out on those things.

Indeed, the persistence of the SV questers are insane to even behold.

I have never met a group who is so dedicated to the hivemind of shipping that it affected the entire quest.

[X]The Cockroach of Brunswick, or Ferdinand gets the Jojo treatment.
-[X]Give the command to Massena: The Army of Italy...is in Italy, and close by to Rome, a short march away, best to combine their forces in case of the Austrians march through Italy. Davout won't complain, and you have a feeling that Massena's more aggressive leadership might lead to more victories than you have.
-[X]With the Fox on the Rhine: General Jordan is in need of support to hold the Rhine against the Austrians when they inevitably arrive, and who better than the Firefighter herself? Really the Prussians' should know better by now. (You will be placed second in Command to General Jourdan's Rhine offensive, and will be making some moves on the Prussian and Austrian's coming towards you.)

-[X]Do What you Feel is Right: You know what...you're not going to question what Davot does in Italy, you have bigger things to worry about.

Eh....I think Stalin's purges will probably be tame in comparison.

For one, a lot of his potential enemies had have a revolution to deal with them. Here, Alex has both enemy nobles, officers, and dissents to purge.
That was the only comparison that I could think of in a short notice.

But yeah, he's about to kill a lot of people who were against him in a true absolutist way.

or he might get a constitution who knows?
