Hm. On the one hand, balloons would be excellent for scouting. But on the other, they're not exactly subtle, and would be dependant on the enemy not looking up.

See, the real advantage of it is that it's another thing for people to look back on and have her be known as the military pioneer of. The corps system, modern(ish) surveyor tactics, and now we can add in air power.

This is what I want to do, not leaning on any route tbh. But for the actions I want this, assure a peaceful work environment where all of us would cooperate towards our objective, making sure about what we are facing, securing legal action and infowar. Louis is a given and getting to personally know our coworkers, don't feel like I want the other personal options, so train our weaknesses, could change training Charisma for Oratory, but I believe this is good

I actually updated (I used the wrong Writ of Justification action)

You need to linetail and explain why you wish to change objectivist to them.

I will leave it to the ones with the gift for that then, I will see what the other come with and edit it there later then.

TBH I wanted to train Grand Strategy but I don't know if it can be done, as Magoose has said earlier that it upgraded with experience, and looking back, the update says that we don't have full supplies so maybe I change the cipher for supplies, a though for after the character sheet upgrades.

I'm liking option RED
[]Route B (Red): Serre's Plan to run the Gauntlet between Sardinia and Corsica, for the most disruptive for the Royal Navy. He plans to start false flag attacks, and raid all over Sardinia, firing cannon and generally making a mess with his marines… However, this is all planned to draw the British to Sardinia, allowing you to land on the Island of Sicily, giving you free reign to run wild on the island.

So posing as RN to raid and discredit? Do we want the distraction so close to the target?

Army Actions: (Choose 5)

[] Swordswomanship: You are not a great swordswoman; you are only decent and lucky. That needs to change. (+1 to 2 to combat, another possible new weapon?) DC: 40

Just now noticed, we have 5 actions and not 4, lmao. Added some options

Well, Justifications and dealing with some Egos are necessary.

I'm sure that supplies and the Cipher System are also Must-Have for us.

I think that dealing with Louis and correspondence with Brian and/or Napoleon is important.

I believe that meeting with our officers is also important.

Not many ideas about the rest.

I kind of like the idea of route yellow, while using disruptions, if it works, we can do so much damage
If
It looks to involve mainland campaigning that will tie us up and tread on Napoleon's mission due to overlap. We might be seen as doing this to be in his camp (literally even). Harder to get a Writ for a mission so far off the initial aim. How is Naples important to our mission?

While I like the Green for the distraction mission I prefer Red for our route.

Cause its the capital of the Two Sicilies which Sicily is a part of?

Depriving the Brits access to Sardinia is big and if we could also secure Sicily that would severely limit the capability of the British to interdict our actions. Let the pirate do what he does best.

Sorting out our staff and getting supplies and the cipher would be useful for us. I'm not as convinced on the balloon though so am willing to hear any suggestions towards it.
For our personal, improving Charisma would be nice and doing the necessary socials is needed. We're also going to need as many bonuses as we can on the De Lisle-Berthier spat and on the Writ.

EDIT: Swapping out Balloon with Boat census
EDIT 2: Added the Writ thanks to @perfectgeneral for the inspiration for the writ

The balloon thing doesn't really seem like something a military person would advocate for. I read in R.R. Palmer's book that, while the engineers and people in the government were lauding the air corps deployed in Fleurus, the people who were actually in the military were not fans, and Soult, who was there at Fleurus, says that the air corps contributed nothing.

[X]A Steady Foundation

I did a whole bunch of plan making and basically ended up at Arvis' plan as is. So here's some reasoning as for the non-ship options, though they are spoilered for length.

[] Training (Calvary): You will need to turn this poor excuse of a unit into a fighting force. Costs 1 wealth. DC:???

We already have godly cavalry and its a mystery DC, lets not. Plenty of other actions as well.

[]Hide Your Movements: Your officers and Attache have agreed to hide your movements, now you need to forge many reports about your preparations towards Egypt, and make matters… difficult for your government to discover without certain… precautions taken. Cost 3 Wealth DC: ???

This and writ are mutually exclusive and Writ is just better here. We do not have the position to make this workable imo, especially since we have a group of new officers to work into our structure.

[]Leave: You are ready to begin your campaign (You will leave on Campaign)

Lol no.

[]To Fly: General Kellerman has released a report on the Use of Hot Air Balloons for scouting and surveying the Area before a battle. Now as a surveyor yourself, you would like to test this equipment and see how it operates in the field...You wonder if Brian actually read this report. Cost 2 Wealth DC: 55

Higher DC and potentially less reliable info gain than the boat scouting. So there isn't space for it.

[] Training (Infantry): You will need to turn this poor excuse of a unit into a fighting force. Costs 1 wealth. DC:30

Cipher/Boat/Ego/Writ/Supplies leave no space

[] Training (Artillery): You will need to turn this poor excuse of a unit into a fighting force. Costs 1 wealth. DC:30

Cipher/Boat/Ego/Writ/Supplies leave no space

[] Study & Practice: Practice makes perfect. DC: Depends on chosen skill level
-[] Write-in Skill to increase

This one hurts since I want Grand Strategy heavily but its a matter of space and the stat boosting skill having more immediate use with the writ. As well as skills being able to level up with use so its more efficient to boost Charisma here first.

[]A Novel idea: You want to take up writing... perhaps it's a good thing for you to do. DC:20

While I think this would help with improving our stats and unwinding, in practice I think Birthday helps on the destress end as well and with that, I think I can't justify this for now.

[]To Unwind and Destress: You want to find out what you truly enjoy to do in your free time. DC??? Note: Linetail what type of Hobby you want to Try.

I view this as a worse Novel honestly.

[] Correspond with Napoleon: Napoleon Bonaparte… Wait, he's your brother-in-law now!? DC: 5

This and Brian is semi-redundant where I think Brian is more important.

[]Propaganda for Dummies: You are going to churn out your own stories, and propaganda, making you look as the hero that France needs in her time of need... Hopefully without making yourself look stupid. DC 65

Too high DC when there's the chance of looking stupid. Delay this till we have better stats for this hopefully since this seems heavily social based.

[] Swordswomanship: You are not a great swordswoman; you are only decent and lucky. That needs to change. (+1 to 2 to combat, another possible new weapon?) DC: 40

We do not need this over anything else. Easy cut.

[] A Small Gamble: God doesn't play dice, but you could. You're smart, so making money this way shouldn't be hard... right? (Gamble 1 wealth to potential to gain up to 5 wealth. If you fail, potentially lose 4) DC ???

We don't need the money and we're not using an action.

2 quick questions:
1) if we are not leaving now (I believe we must prepare and prevaricate as long as possible), do we need to chose the naval strategy now? Things might change in the time before we leave. And the action to get better info on the british fleet might influence our choice.
2) Is route C time critical? Ie are Talleyrand and Robespierre waiting on our action, or are they going anyway in the next turn?
