I'd actually advise to put some time to train combat. I know, not that glamorous, but it's a check we will roll again and again and again in this campaign, and we already had a taste of what happens when we come up short on that one.

Might replace subterfuge, it's not even correctly spelled in the leading plan anyway. :p

well if you vote for Merde on the dancefloor it has training for both Subterfuge AND Combat in it. Plus plenty of other smart choices. Food for thought.

We all know it is subterfuge. I just think Grand Strategy is probably weak at -2. Personal Combat requires getting up out of the sick bed to prance about with sticks.

Scarred - You were injured, but survived. You have a wicked scar to show for it. +5 to coolness when showing off your midriff.

Okay changing:
Subterfuge study to Grand Strategy study (this could stop a minus modifier as it is currently 9)
Command study (again) to Combat training (warned that we need to improve this). This is better, thanks for your input.

What's going on, why are y'all plan voting

This is just a vote for the conspirator, not a plan vote for the next turn. Will update with Thérèse's next quarter's items when Brian's arc ends.

Well that explains Random's choice.
Edited plan back to what we are supposed to be voting on. Sorry.

Looking at our she-et:
L'armée du Rhin
18,500 Infantry (Regulars) **
2,000 Riflemen (Recruits) *
2,000 Lancers (Veterans) ***
1,000 Dragoons (Recruits) *
3,000 Artillerymen/54 cannons (Regulars) **
25,000 Infantry (Untrained)

That is off the hook mass levee right there. We should train those guys before we leave. Ideally. Militia is a thing (that tanks your morale quickly in battle). I don't think this is a small army. We can take them. Maybe put some 2,500 infantry into the Rifles career track? Still leaves 40,000 line regulars or better once the rest are trained. 10% as riflemen would give us a useful skirmish force. We look weak on cavalry. We need at least another 1,000 more like 2,000 to balance the force. Likewise Artillery.

Do we have time and money to recruit 1000 artillerymen, 1000 dragoons?
I'd rather have some Dragoons untrained than lose any more Veteran Lancers (My Lancers! <sob>)
Can we train our infantry as a whole or on this scale just target the untrained?
Ether way can that be split into Rifles and Line infantry?

Of course if Brian cracks under torture and we both head to Madame Guillotine, this hardly matters. Just trying to stay positive and looking ahead.

Yeah, but if you look at it from a different persepctive, its all the Committee's accomplishments, it makes sense if you don't think about it.
Except that to the people that matter, because the people that matter know that Robespierre is being very... well not being helpful with all his mass executions and killing of the competent republican statesmen needed to run a government at least partially effectively. Cause let me tell you this sunny, it's not like Stalin's purges where the military officers may have revolted... He's killing people to secure power outside the millitary.
