Reincarnating into the world of Naruto was a harrowing experience.
Realizing that you were born in Suna was even more disappointing.
Learning that instead of being born as Gaara with the Power of a God damn Biju to protect me, I was rather born as Kankuro....the one who could do nothing special.... Well... That was when I realised I was Fucked.....
On the other hand I could get on Gaara's good side earlier?
Be his rock in His trying times?
So I would perhaps be the one person Gaara would always protect....
At 6 years old I was sent to the Suna Academy.
And there I learnt something...
There was a huge food shortage...
The only reason I was able to eat as I did was because my father was the Kazekage.
Most other children could not afford a Balanced diet, let alone a full meal.
What this place needed was not more ninja but more food.
Unfortunately... This world still ran on a Zero sum game instead of a
Positive sum Game...
Temari was one year ahead of me and Gaara would be enlisted next year...
Which means I had nobody I knew with me...
Though class was a lot different from what I expected, after the first few days in which the teachers showed the Basics and showed us around the academy we were told to study ourselves....
There were no compulsory classes to attend.
Rather each classroom held a Teacher with a subject, if we had questions or needed help of somekind then we could ask the teacher who specialised in the matter.
The rest of the time we were expected to Use the study ourselves by using the library or discussing with our classmates, and use the training fields when we wanted to practise jutsu, if we had jutsu at all. There were no exams except the Graduation exam which you could take at any time, you could take it once a month but other than that they were no other rules. So long as you didn't disturb the peace there was no problem...
Kankuro was originally a puppet user... Not anyone special like Sasori who could control a Hundred puppets at once.
I needed something special of I wanted to stay alive in this blood torn world.
Gaara won't be around forever after all.
Hmmm.
Puppets.... What exactly defined a Puppet?
Puppet - a movable model of a person or animal that is typically moved either by strings controlled from above or by a hand inside it.
In this world strings usually meant chakra strings...
But something stuck me.
Does the puppet have to be either a Human or an animal model?
Could I make a diffent kind?
Perhaps something like a Tank?
A Plane?
Perhaps a Mecha?
Maybe even a Transformer?
I got it....
While other puppet users are considered masters when they could use three or four puppets at a time, always trying to control more puppets at once, I would instead make one or two and push their capabilities to the limits, and add more features to the few one or two puppets that I had....
Maybe I could make eventually make a Robot....
That would be my Dream, my goal or my ambition...
To create a chakra controlled Robot.
I wonder though ... Why do people make Puppets of wood and not metal? Wouldn't that make it harder to destroy?
Something to find out.
Turns out Suna was one of the world's biggest exporters of Metals, only Iwagalure rivaled us in export of Metals... Which meant metal was far cheaper than wood.
I asked why ninjas didn't make puppets using metal instead to the Puppet teacher. And he gave three answers...
One, it was easier to correct any mistakes if a puppet is made with wood. It also makes field repairs relatively easy.
The second it the heavier theaterial the more chakra it was required to move an object, hence puppets are made of wood only carrying metal weapons instead of bieng wholly metal.
Third melting metal required a one to go to the black Smith, and while the blacksmith could make kunai and shuriken the, it would be ridiculously expensive to commission a Blacksmith to Forge all the pieces. While metal was cheap a blacksmith that can use the fire jutsu neccasary to melt iron was far and few in between.
If this was fire country then there would be a lot of blackiths that knew the technique...
The rarity of people who could do it made commissioning expensive as hell.
.......
So I decided to add Blacksmithing to the list of things I had to learn....
