Hmmm...here's an idea that I just thought of, off the top of my head. A PMMM x RWBY crossover with Akemi Homura as the protagonist.

This idea stems from the root of what drew me to your thread/stories. The concept of a Homura that wasn't screwed over (as badly) as her canon variant.

Some inspiration is of course, drawn from Tamura Homura (funny as heck!).

But lets throw in a twist just to spice things up. Homura has access to multiple RWBY Jumpchain documents (whether from the main series or one of the spin-off fanfiction variants) that she draws power from but...she not only can't choose what she gets from them, but in order to gain more than the freebies, the writer/author has to follow the rules of the Celestial Forge (i.e. Every one or two thousand words equals 100 cp) to facilitate purchases.

Plus it's a tiered system where if you are purchasing 'Student' perks, you need to complete that tree to gain access to 'Hunter' perks.

Think of it like a 'tech-tree' if you will where there are prerequisites gating the better perks (even the least of the Hunter perks requires completing the Student branch first) from access. When in doubt, use common sense and logic to solve the conundrum.

So back to the main thrust of the story idea, Akemi Homura is a native to Remnant (or you cn set it on Earth, I don't really care) and unlike her canon iteration, instead of sinking to despair from their low self-esteem and shitty prospects, makes the decision to better themselves and work in anyway to improve her lot in life.

This resolution to be the best possible version of themselves despite everything unlocks something in her soul (her Aura as mentioned with the freebies) and grants her access to the RWBY Jumpchains.

Plus either route (Remnant or Earth), this takes place years before canon, so she has time to learn past what her orphanage taught and get physical therapy for her weakened body, let alone train her Aura.

The RWBY Route has Homura basically traveling around Remnant (dependent on the will of the plot) and causing butterflies with her actions before going to either Beacon or Atlas Academy years down the line. Needless to say but the events of Volume 3 are delayed and butterflied years back so that the main cast can finish their schooling and Beacon doesn't Fall.

The PMMM Route has Homura improving herself as previously mentioned and actually succeeding at clawing some happiness from the world so that she isn't a depressed wreck like canon Moemura. Motivation, Determination and being blessed by Jump-chan (or whoever her benefactor is) really made a difference. Plus she's at peace with herself since Aura requires a lot self-awareness and introspection to utilize properly. Which means she managed to work through her issues.

All of which means things are going to go to shit since the universe/fate doesn't like the idea of a 'Happy' Homura. Plus she was instrumental to the canon plot of PMMM. So if she won't go to the plot (make a Wish and get timetravel abilities) the plot will go to her (countless potential timelines will collide and merge with hers resulting in a lot of Magical Girls who know her (but she doesn't know in turn) gunning after her for actions she never done or percieved crimes she never committed.).

Now she has to maneuver around the meddlings of others in her personal and academic life with only her wits, intelligence and Jumpchain-backed skills/perks supporting her.

Thoughts? Comments? I just threw this together out of boredom and I would like to hear if this story concept has merit.

Just a random idea. Well actually two ideas. Remnant and Earth are two seperate ideas.

The Remnant side is a Homura similar yet distinct from the Homura of Earth with a similar history adapted to Remnant.

The Earth side when boiled down is Homura gaining soul powers without 'selling' her soul to the Incubators. The Jumpchain just facilitates it. Or in Nasuverse terms, I want to make a Homura 'Lily' that had her shit together and a brighter future waiting for her.

    • Immortal Cultivator SI goes to Konoha before Orochimaru is found out about doing experiments and tells him about cultivation...

    Ofcourse, when SI offers to teach him Orochimaru wants proof. He's not someone who believe it so easily after all.

    When proof is given though he does not hesitate to destroy all his experiments when requested by the SI and begin learning how to Cultivate from the SI.

    Interesting idea.

    Ok here's another story idea that's based off my previous one but reduced and refined to remove unnecessary bloat and complexity.

    PMMM x RWBY Crossover Idea

    What if Akemi Homura awakened/unlocked her Aura (and eventually her Semblance) early in her life and years before the start of canon?

    The usage of Aura requires introspection and self-awareness to get the best out of it (training too of course). So what if in her attempt to master her new powers, Homura works through her personal issues so that by the time she ends up in Mitikihara, she's not a depressed, (borderline?) suicidal wreck with low self-esteem?

    How would that change her interactions with the cast? The Incubators too? How would they react to the unique anomaly that is Aura (which shows most of the advantages but none of the downsides of Contracting and can be used by anyone)?

    • A SI stops by DxD to steal Ddraig and decides on a whim to 'correct' Isseis harem King and Oppai obbesion before leaving...

    Issei's desire for a Harem King stemmed from the fact wanted to be loved and unlike before there was no Old man to put him on the path of Harem King again....

    He comes across a leaflet of a famous rockband and something pulls at him to go there...

    Once he sees it... He decides to learn how to play music.

    Ofcourse, this desire comes from the fact that he wanted to be loved. And he had seen how the fans love the rock stars...

    So perhaps if he gats that good he would find love?

    And so begins the journey of Music issei...

    Perhaps with Asia as a love interest perhaps Azazel managed to stop Asia from getting her sacred gear stolen just in time and as an apology helps her live a normal life and ask the Rias and Sona to protect her in exchange for something he would provide?

    Then issei and Asia would meet in school again (he meets Asia before, when helping her find the church remember? Except this time it's not interrupted by an angel and he guides her there without problems after treating her to a hamburger?) and the love story would start from there.

    They would face quite a few challenges such as Isseis old reputation and other girls trying to seperate Asia from issei, that would not stop them...

    Eventually they would get the nickname of the sweetest couple ever... Which would Ofcourse elict jealousy from others... But... Perhaps this time issei and Asia can live a happy normal life?

    Issei ends up finding the Love that he is looking for and Asia finds someone who truly loves her. They become the youngest couple to ever get married...

    Eventually Ofcourse the church would rescind her excommunication on the basis of wrong information and send Xenovia and irina to retrieve her... But Ofcourse Asia would refuse.

    And then there's irina's reaction....

    If you remove the premise, that would be good. It would be better if Issei and Asia's relationship developed in contrast to his desire to have a harem and he himself abandoned this idea and not because some idiot decided to interfere with it (especially considering that the old man in the park is not the only factor in Issei's perversion, remove him and with a high probability the only difference will be that Issei will like boobs a little less.
     
    Seems pretty good, but what if Issei decides to also go for the Childhood Friend Route as well?

    Abuses the Shit out of it to get OP.

    Since Activating the runes gives the User the Ability to wield any weapon they are holding as if they were a Master regardless of whether or not their body can handle the strain.

    So the SI abuses this by using the runes until his body gives out, then he recovers and then uses it again rinse and repeat.

    Then he asks Colbert for help procuring a Larger weapon for Training (to protect Louise is the excuse given)

    Colbert gets the help of a Earth mage professor and creates weapon for SI.

    Then SI asks if the professor could make anything bigger, playing to his pride..

    Eventually creating this monstrosity.



    By the time Reconquista attacks Tristan for the first time, SI can move at just under sonic without Gandalfr active, with it? SI would reach Transonic and pass supersonic reaching Mach 2-3, the sonic boom and Shockwave devastating the battle field.

    Then when asked what reward the SI wishes from the prince's he simply requests for a square class earth mage to help him build a even more ridiculous weapon that would be used to train his body even further...and for the armour to be able to withstand high temperature as his clothes were incinerated from the friction during the battle.

    Perhaps a suit of armour with blades so that it can be used as a weapon and made of the heaviest meterial the Earth mage can conjure?

    Together with the Hammer.....

    Well, he'd reach into Mach 4-5 without Gandalfr and maybe Hypersonic with it by the time the Army of 70, 000 is gathered.


    Wonder how fast hell be able reach if he descardes all that weight...

    I think I almost felt sorry for the army of Seventy thousand.
