It took me nearly six months of intensive studies in Computer science before I knew enough to start the weapon I had in mind. I had completed all the school had taught me about computers. The knowledge as a degree of Computer science in my past life may have something to do with it.

Regardless I had sped my way through everything they had to teach me in computer science in two months. The only thing I had to spend time studying was the languages used in Remnant. They were nothing like Java or C++.

Atleast the Binary system remained the same.

Four months after that I spend learning from an expert I had managed to contact.

Someone had reached out to.

Dr Peitro Poledina.

When he asked me why I wanted to learn from him I told him the truth. That I was designing my personal weapon in Signal and I needed a lot of knowledge in computers and electronics to finish it.

After that, he was happy to help me with any questions that I asked.

Of course.

I wasn't just going to tell him any information about my weapon.

I might be Ruby rose.

But I was not as Naive as I used to be.

I knew that my knowledge could fall in the wrong hands if I wasn't careful. So was very careful not to mention anything to do with it as much as I could.

I occasionally asked him questions as I began crafting weapons.

Dad and Qrow are teachers at signal which meant I didn't have to explain to them what exactly I was trying to do. After all, I had passed weapon creation and management classes already.

Yang had already made her weapon a year ago, Of course, she is a year above me and would be going to beacon at the end of this school year.

And if I want to make use of my knowledge about the future I have to keep it close as possible.

I didn't know the exact day when exactly the robbery happened.

But it was within a few days of when Yang leaves for Beacon.

______________________________________________

Step one was designing and planning.

Mechashift was a reliable way for huntsmen to have one weapon to be used in different situations.

They were very reliable... Until they fail or get jammed, perhaps due to luck or faulty, maintenance.

Mecha shift technology has come a long way in the last 200 years since its invention and the time when it would break down or get stuck in the wrong time.

Especially dust forging that allowed for metals to be fused with the dust during the forging process allowing weapons to still be workable even when the Ridiculous amounts of part and how thin they were would make them so easy to tear through if they weren't forged with dust.

With dust, they withstood stress that would be impossible for it.

Having outside knowledge really put things into perspective.

Regardless, I wasn't going to fall for the same trap.

Mecha shifting weapons may be convenient and strong.

But non Mechashift weapons with dust forging?

I could already imagine how much immense stress their parts would be able to handle and how much more efficient they would be.

Dustforging with fire dust allowed the metal to withstand much fill higher temperatures than it would normally would and allow it to conduct heat much more easily.

Earth dust would make it Harder.

Lightning dust would increase its conductivity allowing it to carry much more current.

Wind dust allowed it to be lighter.

And with the subtypes and all the different ratios possible with different kinds of dust. It was possible to make a lot of different effects.

I began to giggle as ideas formed and I began to sketch out my weapons.....

.....

I might have gone too far...
Since wind dust makes it lighter than what would gravity dust do? Make it heavier?

Ruby SI (RWBY/Flash) 3
I didn't just make weapons.

And I didn't make just one weapon.

I make three weapons.

I might have been inspired by a few shows that I saw on earth... Especially since I had the technology to reproduce it here.

How could I not?

My Primary weapon was of course a Sniper rifle.
That was something both of me liked. One-Shot, one kill. No waste of bullets with a sniper. I used wind dust forged Titanium alloy, Ti-6Al-4V-Wind to be exact. I designed the Metal part with CAD and sent a request to the forger. The Titanium alloy made it extremely light and the wind dust in it would make it even lighter. I most of the electronic parts I could get from Signal's weapons workshop. But there were a few things that had to be requested from outside. Such as a fingerprint scanner. A small LCD display. A miniature holographic projector. A central processing unit, a Printed circuit board that I had sent the design to a factory to have it made to specifications a storage drive and of course 2 Yttrium gallium garnets.

It was expected that making a hunter and huntresses weapon would have expenses, and I'm pretty sure Dad would have asked what it was for if he didn't see me working on my weapons every day. Though he definitely kept an eye on it until he saw me placing one of the garnets in the gun. But instead of being satisfied he sighed and said "Of course, why was I expecting something normal?" Which was really rude. I was normal!

The Gems were tiny. So tiny that I could fit them on the tip of my finger, but without this, the primary ammunition wouldn't work.

I was using two different kinds of ammunition.

One for normal use.

And the other for Emergencies only. Like in the case of a Goliah or a Dragon.

The Ammunition for my gun.

The normal ammunition was....LASERS!

YES.

Lasers with a capital L.

The gems were used to focus the Lasers and increase their intensity.

Powered with Laser Diodes and Lightning dust instead of hard light dust.

People stopped using Laser Diodes for Hardlight dust. Partly because of the fact that they emit a lot of heat with were difficult to deal with and partly because the SDC promoting it to be a better alternative.

I on the other hand used the heat. There was a secondary chamber next to the lightning dust pack where a depleted Fire dust pack could be added, and I had designed the gun so that all the heat the diode emitted would be absorbed by the depleted fire dust pack.

Of course, I didn't order so many parts and spend so much time and effort learning for no reason. Then came assembling the device and programming the system so that all of its functions would run correctly.

This part required a lot of help from doctor Poledina, with his expertise I was able to create a fairly decent system using C++. Still, I'm pretty sure he won't really get anything valuable from me. Not that I don't trust him, but with Watts around....I don't want to take any chances.

The system in my gun had a few functions. It monitored the amount of charge left in my cartridge, keep me informed of how hot the Laser diodes are, and if they approaching critical levels, and would help me at night or when it's difficult to see with the infrared camera and its final feature. The security system. On the handle and the trigger I had installed fingerprint sensors and calibrated it to all my fingers, the electronic safety would not unlock unless it reads my fingerprint on the trigger and the handle, even if the physical safety was released.

... you know just in case and added a miniature keypad with a 10 digit pin for a manual override under a hidden lid if such a case came where I am unable to use it and my future comrades needed it. Then of course was the fact it would allow me to adjust the power of my Lasers. There was no need for overkill after all.

Then there was the secondary ammunition.

Should I use it then that means everything has gone to hell.

Bullet-shaped Tungsten slugs.

Yep

It is also a Railgun.

The recoil from the Railgun firing would be ridiculous if not for the fact I asked help from the dust teacher in signal help to weave some gravity dust onto the deployable stand of the gun.

Unlike in Dustforging where the effect depends on the type of dust used and will last forever until the dust is somehow extracted dust weaving it was different. Those who weave dust could do some crazy things with dust, but with the teacher's help the extendable stand was coated in gravity dust in such a way that should I apply my aura to it, the Sniper would become nearly impossible to move, this solved the recoil problem.

Of course, unlike the Lasers, the Sniper could only hold one shot before I needed to reload it. Though if something survived an 11 kg bullet traveling at about Mach 24 then I think I have more pressing things to worry about.

My Secondary weapon was a Laser Pistol which had the fingerprint security system.

My melee weapon....well since hard light dust existed I might have made a lightsaber.

Or Perhaps an exact replica of the Photon Sword.

Compared to my Rifle it was fairly easy to make though it was the first thing I asked for help with from the dust professor. I just needed high-grade Plasma dust which was a subtype of dust made from fire and lightning dust. I was able to complete a working prototype within two weeks and had a final version in a weak. The ridiculous heat of the plasma was controllable from burning if you touch it to melting steel doors like slag. I also didn't have to worry about efficiency or burning to death since the hard light dust is used to form a protective cover around the plasma and shaping it into the shape of a hard and sharp photon sword with the plasma under it giving it heat. The hard light was also used to make sure that the heat didn't extend more than a centimeter and risk burning me.

I will always remember Dad's proud face when I showed him the Photon sword, Qrows depressed face because I didn't make a Scythe like him, and Yang's look in awe. With Speed force, I bet I could replicate the bullet cutting that Kirito did. It was going to be so cool.

So I spent time when I was not making my other weapons training how to use it with Qrow, I might be an expert in designing weapons and shooting, but I can admit that I need help mastering using a sword. I may know the basics but I'm nowhere near mastered. And I needed every advantage I could get, for when everything goes to hell.

I did make one more thing a backpack that could extend into wings and hand four miniature turbines in it. Making the turbines though I had to leave it to the professionals. It was far too complicated and out of my speciality to make something like that. I had to give them an idea of what size I wanted it and had it delivered to me. Making the control system was a bit tricky but with some advice from Dr.Poledina, we managed to come up with a method to control the jetpack in a fairly simple manner. I know I don't need it since I have the speed force, but what about when I'm airdropped? Besides this was there the depleted fire packs come to use. Once the fire pack is filled from absorbing heat from the Laser diode they are used to power this pack which after draining can be placed back into the guns. Essentially reusing the same Dust.

The design though?

I might have copied Falcon.

The lightning Dust I used to operate the Guns could be charged using static electricity from running fast enough. I thought it might not work but it did.

By the time I had finished all my Rifle, Pistol, and Jetpack, I only had 2 months before Yang was going to Beacon.

I knew how to shoot quite well, but I do have to get used to them. Not to mention the jetpack to get used to flying. At least Qrow had dubbed me decent in the Sword arts which coming from him was high praise.

It was a lot to do, but I needed to do it, fast, I had no time to relax if I wanted to save Vale.

I was not going to miss my chance to join Beacon.

Next Chapter.

Qrow's, Tai's, and Yang's reactions to noticing Ruby's desperation.

2 months till Yang to Beacon? So she didn't use a weapon till now?

Why was Qrow disappointed she didn't make a scythe? It's obvious that since it's a hard light blade, it can change form into a scythe blade also since the handle being extendable should be easy to do compared to everything else.

No shield though? The wings projecting a hard light shield like Jaune's season 8 shield seems the obvious choice. Or add some hard light projectors to the hand gun for a shield.

Ruby is quite proficient in using guns, she just needs to get familiar with it. Also she had been training how to use her Photon sword with Qrow, since while she's good at firearms she doesn't know more than the basics in sword wielding when she started making her weapons

Contract Job Self Insert (JOB - Takeshi Motoba) 2
I had three bowls of delicious Ramen at a Ramen stand before taking a take out of Vegetable ramen with me home so that my charge could eat.

It took me a while to figure out what kind of power I needed.

I needed to make a power that would improve my body and mind slowly and over time after all I had a single charge. If I wanted to make the best of it. I needed to make something that single charge could make but would be effective in the long run, and since I was not in Worm or a death world I had time.

Not to mention suddenly gaining super human strength or a thinker power would make it a risk of someone catching on to the fact that I had powers or would atleast find it very unusual.

So the one charge I used to make a very simple power.

With a thought it came the spark of potential changed and took form as I had desired.

The power was simple.

It took 99% of any excess food I ate would be used by my power to slowly improve my body and mind. The changes would occur while I was asleep as not feel any discomfort or pain the process may cause.

It also meant I didn't have to worry much about getting fat. As the more I ate the more the improvements I would get.

Opening the door and closing it behind me I out the take out for Kirie on the table and headed to my room to sleep.

I had an important meeting tommorow after all. Best make sure to get up early.

That "Contract Job Self Insert" story is really interesting, would like to see a future Kirie POV when she sees the change in her brother, would she surprisingly feel lonely? :)
Other than that it would be neat if you wrote more of the "Planet Cyoa SI Remnant", kinda want to see the whole magic/spirits/fairies coming back thing going on there. ;)

There would be a few factors to consider, is it toggleable? Does Taylor even knows she has it?

How does the Shards inflict the Conflict Drive? Ramps up aggression when presented with opportunities? Or do they simply makes their Hosts always angry/jittery all the time? Or a mix of both?

Do all shards have the same methods to aggrevate their Hosts or is it unique per Shard? Does Taylor's power also suppress the Trigger Event shard-assisted trauma?

It will be interesting to see Brockton Bay where all of its Parahumans are pretty chill most of the time at least.

Edit: IIRC, Parahumans with a 'broader' connection are under greater influence from their Shards, and Jack Slash's Broadcast uses it to fuel his 'intuitions.

What if Taylor has a different power? One that Switches off the conflict drive of any cape that got with a 10 block radius of her?
[/ЦИТИРОВАТЬ]

Bad idea. Then there will be empty injured shells. In most cases, after psychological trauma, the consequences are for life. Not everyone can just give up on everything. Having received strength, they will remain the same vegetables, only with a break.

No, she won't know aout her power. It's also not toggleale.

It also means any cape that comes within range with e themselves completely without any push for conflict from their shar. IT will remain that way even after they leave her range.

For example armsmaster woul stop ieng a glory houn an actually start enjoying his time tinkering, which woul slowly improve his moo.

The enringers will shut own and the powers fourth slot will open.
Are the B key and D key on your keyboard broken?
Don't worry, it's still readable (somehow :???:).

WORM FGO SI IEA
SI in rockton ay...with his smart phone aout A month efore canon... no powers except for the fact there is a comman seal on his left hand and he can use FGO app to summon Servants. Summone servants are full incarnations so they are living instead of spirit. SI can use the servant archive to call forth servants in his collection ut once incarnate cannot be dismissed.

Incarnating servants Cost AP depending on the Level. EXample Level 100 Sevant requires 100 AP.

AP can recovere vy putting Prana into the Smartphone. 1000 units of Prana is 1 AP.

Craft essences can e use as an item/ability or equip to a servant.

SI uses Servants to take over Azn a boys after lung is arrested, an turns makes it better. IE, No rugs, no human trafficking, no "farms."

Only protection of the territory, and even then they only have to keep a watch and call him if they spot E88 or something happenning.

Self insert as young Shinji Matou with No Man's Sky Tech tree...
Insert yourself pre-Fourth HGW and try to be a better brother to Sakura and a person in general, and you'll have my support.

Does NMST have anything capable of dealing with Zoukens worms? If not, it's... not useless but doesn't solve the root problem of the Matou family.

Then again, any medical tech you make could give Kariya the ability to survive the war and power Berserker even with the worms eating him to generate mana/prana.

Insert as the Merchant from RE4 with invincibility on so that you can't be hurt. Start selling things in the multiverse.
