King Of Servants

Naruko was silent, she didn't cry, she didn't' shout. she was simply silent.
There was only one reason she wouldn't cry.
She was used to this.
By the Root, no 4-year-old should go through something like this. Is this gods idea of a joke?
This world was built on the pain and suffering of people... There was literally no end in sight.
Yet now I found myself shedding tears even though it was not me who was hurt.
And now Naruko was hugging me trying to comfort me.
...
I breathed in.
Out.
in.
Out.
"I'm fine Naruko, besides come on, I want to show you this place I found.
With that, I dragged her all the way to training ground 22.
It was literally covered in trees. And at the center stood a crystal clear lake. Fishes swimming within and birds flying. This whole training ground was filled with life. That had not been disturbed by humans in a very very long time.
I shared my Idea of building a Log cabin with her.
"A Log Cabin? What that?" She asked tilting her head to the side.
"Basically it's a house made from Logs. No one comes to this training ground so I was thinking of building a Log Cabin here."
"Oh, so how do we start?"
"By cutting down some trees?"
Cutting down a tree was harder than I thought. Even after creating an axe I could barely lift the thing..
"Well, that's not going to work."
"What should we do then?"
"I'll think of something...in the meantime, I want to introduce you to a friend of mine Naruko."
"Ryuu-kun has a friend?" She said in mock surprise.
I glared at her."Haha, very funny Naruko. Just because I don't get along with most of the kids in the Orphanage doesn't mean I can't make friends. Serenity, please come down."
"Serenity? Who's that?"
Serenity appeared beside me kneeling down the next instant.
"You called for me master?"She whispered softly.
"AAAAH who the hell are you!"
"Naruko, meet Serenity."
Naruko looked at Serenity and frowned.
"I am Serenity, my Master's humble servant."
Naruko turned to me. "What does she mean she is your servant?"
"There are two meaning for the word servant. One you already know. However, there is a second definition known only to those who know of the existence of magic." She rolled her eyes at that but I continued. "Servants are spirits of the highest rank, spirits of heroes legend who achieved great deeds in life that are bound to the Master."
"Spirits?" Naruto's face started to turn pale. "She's a G-G-G-Ghost?!" She squeaked out the last part.
"Normally yes, however, I took it one step further, I fully incarnated them into this world. Meaning the Serenity in front of you not a ghost, the Legend in flesh and blood."
"Oh, so she's not a ghost." She sighed in relief.
I nodded. "Yes."
"So magic is real."
"That's what I've been telling you all this time."
"Oh."
Awkward silence.
"Wait she's a Hero?"
"No, I'm not."/"Yes she is."
Serenity appeared surprised it. She was an assassin after all.
"So can't you use magic to cut down the trees?" Naruko questioned with a tilt of her head.
"Well I'm not sure, I'm still fairly new to magic myself so I'm not sure I can do it.
"I'm sure you can do it, master, if you can summon heroic spirits then surely cutting trees is not beyond your abilities?"
Maybe they're right I didn't want to just create a Log cabin without any effort going into it.
Besides, I still haven't figured out the limit of my magic.
Walking near a tree I closed my eyes as I began to think.
Let's see, so far I am able to create objects, summon living things, what about normal magic?
Air, water, fire, earth, and ether. If I'm correct these are the main elements in any type of magic.
Water had the most cutting force.
I willed a crescent-shaped blade of water to form in from of me then sent it hurtling towards the trees. The blade of water sliced through one tree after another after another and kept going through a few trees before it lost it's momentum and plopped on the ground.
Huh, so Normal magic works or is even normal magic? I couldn't even say anymore.
One this house is built I'm going to spend my time experimenting on what I can do.
And so we began building the log cabin, slowly but surely with the help of Serenity who wore special gloves which were just ordinary Lab gloves provided by yours truly. It took us three whole days to finish it. But we managed to finish it in the end, just like I wanted it.
