@Mount. Elements Pleiades dropped out of Stealth in order to get Maya; it's hard to rescue someone if they don't know you're there. The minions did not see her get to Maya and Obakemaru attacked first, so they focused on him. This does mean she lost Advantage, however.
Also, Obakemaru still has 4 more Health before he's knocked out of Henshin.
Double Also, and this is a general note to everybody, the Minions are called 'Gentles,' not Gentiles or Gentlemen.

Ok, so Obakemaru losing his first band of health isn't great, but I don't think it would be worth tying up Shineon to GUARD him at this point. I'm thinking that we should have Maya and Pleaides wait in place for 1 or 2 turns BUT DEFINITELY NOT LONGER while we try to clear out some of the minions. If Shineon and Obakemaru both succeed in removing the devices, then that should mean only 1 more success to free all of the controlled minions in Location 2. Unfortunately, I suspect that the Gentles had 6 HEALTH so continuing to attack them might remove the first band but wouldn't otherwise be productive.

I'm going to wait for more discussion before voting at this point because I suspect I'm missing something.
 
Maybe it's just me but Pleiades I though could basically do three things: Gaurd Maya, Move Maya, and Handoff Maya. So maybe what we want is for Pleiades to move to where Obake is doing his thing, hand off the VIP, and go kick a henchman in the face to distract from the ninja exit.

I don't think that she can do all three? My understanding was that we could vote for her to hand-off Maya to another hero, and then we have to vote for the second hero to guard her. In the following turn, we'd then vote to move her. Wait, do we need to have one hero move her and another hero guard her, or can we vote a hero to do both at once?

Ideally, we'd end up having a TOUGH hero guard her, but we kind of need Shineon to get some of the damage away from Obakemaru until we thin out the minions a bit.
 
Each Hero can only do one action at a time. Moving counts as an Action. Pleiades can use the GUARD, MOVE, HELP, SPECIAL and SUGGESTION Actions while she's escorting Maya, for what that matters.
Please also note that the scenario simply requires you to get Maya to Location 3 in order to succeed, in addition to saving the civilians.
In terms of damage, Shineon deals 2 Damage, as does Pleiades thanks to the dagger.
 
If I recall correctly, both Touma and Fenrir have ability that makes them do 2 damages. So, with two attack we should broke another bar.
Now, what happens if we broke the Second Bars of a Villain? I dunno, maybe nothing, but is worth the shot.
Well, Sakuina's first and second bands (if that's how his health was arranged) were busted on the first and second turns of our first combat encounter (he took 3 damage first round, and another 3 next round), and all that did was put the fish-man into rage mode, so who knows what would happen.

And looking back at the first battle, Touma Helping Shineon while he was untransformed did not require a roll.
Then again... Naoko is only one EXP away from leveling up, which she might gain if she fails the roll... but who knows if she'll gain anything new if she does...

Obakemaru's passive merely gives him a better chance for his attack to succeed, but doesn't do more damage. If we had Shineon do the disarming and Obakemaru do the Gentle-hurting, then it'd just be one tick of damage to both, which is less than if Shineon did the heavy lifting.


Oh, and one more thing, @PurpleProse, Subaru reached Level 3 in this post here:

I'm pretty conflicted about whether or not to have Maya stay in hiding for a turn. If we just have to get Maya to Location 3, then hopefully that means there's no enemies at Location 3 for us to protect Maya from. If we try to MOVE Maya now, and every single group of enemies we pass attack her, that should hopefully only add up to 4 damage (2 groups of minions in Location 2, 1 group of minions in Location 1, and the villain), but I don't trust the villains not to pull something. Also, I'm kind of worried that once the first band of health on the Gentles breaks, there will be a bad reaction somehow so I guess it's probably best to wait one turn.

I'm also not sure about whether Kekkai-Chan should HELP the strike team or just keep trying to free the civilians. At this rate, it'll take a minimum of 3 turns to free all of the civilians in Location 1. If she fails at removing devices, then she gets XP. However, if she fails, she also has a chance of being injured or even more stressed, and the strike team doesn't have the advantage of her help and might fail as well. I think I'll stick with HELPing the strike team this turn, but I might switch to removing devices next turn and hope for the best.

Edit: I've changed my votes so that Pleaides is moving Maya while Fenrir is guarding her.

Does this mean that we need to have Maya at Location 3 and the civilians all rescued at the same time, or would moving Maya to Location 3 'rescue' her and she'd be out of the battlefield, like when we were rescuing civilians in the previous two Incidents?
Additionally, is there anything preventing us from moving directly from Location 2 to Location 3? The numbers imply they're adjacent, but the descriptions imply Location 1 might be between them.
 
Location 3 is where the Heroes came in. All you need to do is move her there in order to satisfy the Objective.
And yes; you have to pass through Location 1 to get to Location 3. Think of it as the locations being arranged like so:

@PurpleProse, can you please clarify if the commands are different when we're escorting someone? For example, we don't roll when a Hero MOVEs, but is there a roll when the Hero is escorting someone?

What's confusing me is that if MOVE is the same whether or not the Hero is escorting someone, then we could have Pleaides MOVE Maya this turn, they would be safely traveling between locations during the enemy action phase, then Pleaides MOVEs Maya to Location 3 next turn, and there would be no risk to Maya at all. That seems too easy to be true.

Also, if we want to have another Hero GUARD them during a MOVE (assuming there is a risk of damage), then do we have that Hero GUARD the escorting Hero, and Maya will be GUARDed by association, or do we GUARD Maya specifically?
 
- There is no roll when the Hero MOVES while escorting someone.
- You're not safe during the Enemy Action phase. Enemy actions occur after the Heroes take their actions, ala a strategy game. Pleiades would move from Location 2 to Location 1, and then be at Location 1 during the Enemy Action.
- While escorting, the escorted individual/item is, mechanically, considered to be a 'part' of the Hero that's escorting them, but for certain actions they're still 'separate.' As such, you must choose to GUARD Maya rather than the Hero escorting her.

Thanks! Ok, so now I'm wondering whether it's worth waiting to move Maya or not. We could move her now, and there shouldn't be any danger to her from Location 2, but there's still the villain and 1 group of controlled citizens in Location 1. If the issue is just damage, then there shouldn't be any risk of more than 2 damage, 1 from the villain and 1 from the minions. However, Grandeur has been pretty tricky so far.

Pleaides has no damage in the first band, but she can't MOVE and GUARD Maya. We need heroes in both locations to continue freeing civilians, and we can't spare Shineon to GUARD Maya, or Obakemaru will be the focus of both minion groups again. I'm not sure whether Shineon can MOVE to GUARD Maya anyway. Gunleon is needed to GUARD the strike team, or they'll lose people. I just checked, and there's a roll when we GUARD someone so it wouldn't be a good idea to have Kekkai-Chan do it. We might be able to have Fenrir GUARD her though, and he won't be fooled by illusions. That means that no one attacks the villain this turn, but I'm not sure how much that matters.

I think I'm going to wait for a little bit before changing my vote to see what everyone else thinks, but if no one weighs in, then I'll change my vote to have Pleaides MOVE Maya and Fenrir GUARD Maya.

Sorry for the double-post, but there's less than an hour until the 24 hours for the vote is over, and there's only been 2 votes. Since I really don't want to risk moving Maya while no one guards her, depending on how the tie-breaking rolls go, I'm going to switch back to the first plan. I think that both plans are good; they just have different risks and rewards.

Pleiades grabs Maya and runs with her towards the stairs. As she does so, she passes by Shineon. "Give us some cover," she shouts to the golden magical girl.

"petites fillettes": this is redundant, in french it's petites filles or fillettes, never both. I think fillettes would be the correct one in this context ( insult, taunting, general insulting language) because petites filles sound childish used as an insult in french, fillettes sounds more patronizing.

About the update, the civilians seems to take great damage, we should be careful about it, now or in the futur.

Also, the "Damage" is just how I track the progress of the device removal. There's a lot of it because there's a lot of civilians.
 
@PurpleProse, shouldn't the first band on the Gentles be broken? Obakemaru did 1 damage to them last time, and Shineon just did 2 damage to them.

Ok, Pleaides ESCORTing Maya to Location 3 is an obvious choice. We still need someone to GUARD the strike team, and I think we only need 1 more "damage" to free all of the civilians in Location 1. Maybe we just do the same as last time with the exception of having Fenrir attack the villain? It still isn't safe to have him remove the devices with his claws, and he doesn't have TOUGH to GUARD the strike team. Though he already has 1 INJURY and 2 STRESS so it might actually be safer for him to GUARD the strike team than to attack the villain with the possibility of retaliation.

We still need to do 2 "damage" to the controlled civilians in Location 2, and Obakemaru has -1 to his next roll. I'm not sure whether Shineon should also remove devices or keep attacking the Gentles. Will the villain give up once Maya is safe? If he gives up, will he leave the controlled civilians behind or take them with him?
