While we're talking about tech...have an artifact!

Moonglow's Magnificence: Artifact 5

A simple, sickle-shaped amulet of moonsilver surrounded by a corona of gleaming orichalcum and set upon a torc of iridescent starmetal, this infinite resplendence amulet represents the ancient unity of the Incarnae and the celestial bodies they represent. Handcrafted by Luna herself of materials found upon Silver Chair of Night, to act as symbol, reminder, and aid for and of her task as the first of the Incarnae's Chosen in a new world. In addition to functioning in much the same manner as any composite amulet of its materials, it also serves as a hearthstone amulet of the same sort, clasping a hearthstone in the inner curve of the sickle shape which curls like a smile--or a slit--across the throat of its wearer.

For its Orichalcum content, it may create garb of glorious hardened light, though its creation by Luna lends this luminescence to moonlit shades instead of golden, sartorial sunlight. As a standard Orichalcum amulet, while this feature is active and in use, it adds an effective +4 to the wearer's Appearance and inhibits stealth as an 8-10 mote anima banner does. Its Moonsilver makeup lets it emit an skintight bodysuit of liquid silver which adds +2 dice to stealth attempts, one success to Survival and Resistance checks to deal with inclemencies of weather, poison, and diseases, and +5B/+5L soak which does not count as armor for Charm purposes. As an Starmetal Amulet, it grants its wearer access to pockets woven of their own fate, providing storage Elsewhere for up to a ton of assorted items with no apparent shift of the weight of the clothes. Additionally, it provides a +1m respiration rate as per a hearthstone amulet of proper materials to those for whom any of its constituent materials count as natural.

Define 'have'.

All Taylor needs to do to get it, is beat up Emma until she stops her attunement to it.

On the one hand, she secretly kinda wants to do so anyway.
On the other hand, it's not really Taylor's style to actually do so.

Ah...by certain values of found..soon. By others...no.
SO as an Exalted player, this means somebody will have it when we meet them, and if we want it we need to beat them up and loot the body, yes? And this person will likely be a Lunar, from the description so we may need to convince others to help us mug the Lunar for the shiny.

I...can't tell if this is sarcastic or not.
That comment wasn't sarcastic, just borne or great ignorance. I don't actually know that much about Exalted. In hindsight, there were a couple of context clues I could have picked up on that might have pointed me towards where this object might have come from and why we might encounter it.

Strange, I was under the impression that Tinkertech was an induced Breaker state. Altering reality at the creation of the object so that THIS pseudo-scientific mishmash of parts did whatever the Tinker/shard combo's goal was. The need for Tinker maintenance was the subconscious recharge of that state.

All that matters though is that the Author's work is consistent within each story really.

Neat toy. Stealing it from the new Lunar is gonna be a bitch tho.

Why do people keep looking at me like that?

The amulet looks like it's a "put on, become hottest person in the room" thing, but it also gives a ton of other useful things like the soak and pockets.

[desire to loot intensifies]

Uh...huh. Could we now?
Well nothing you said implies we couldn't attune it, and soak and pockets are always nice. We won't get the essence regen boost, but that doesn't mater due to a lack of Hearthstones to plug in. Besides, we're the PC, by virtue of that we always make the best use of something and should totally have it if we want it, even when that might not make sense because @pcrights.

I'm okay with Lunar!Emma keeping it, provided a) she joins the party and b) she has it in the first place.

That may be true, but if we try to specialize in everything we'll inevitably find ourselves specialized in nothing. In addition, PCs who don't outfit their party members with loot suited to their roles are most likely to lose said party members.

If the current owner of the amulet is irreversibly hostile - and for Solaroids that's really saying something - then sure, let's take it. Otherwise, there's no reason to assume that it'll work well with our build.

Fine then. Sorry.

Is that supposed to be a link?
No sweat. Just been brought up repeatedly. And yes, I realize (shock of shocks) people don't like the trio.

As to it being a link, nope. Just dipped into my QM voice for it. Was just me saying "I officially have nothing to say on that subject I haven't already said."

Ah, crap. Now my Diablo senses are tingling.

Well, at least it's nice to get some info on this thing.
