Right, I'm having trouble figuring out what bonuses and maluses to apply to the rolls, and how to weave them in story wise, so this update might take a while to write.

Will delete this threadmark soon enough, just wanted to let you all know about the delay. Thank you for your patience and understanding. :)

So, with that amount of stealth, will our dragon only be hinted at for the viewing audience, with a clawed hand gripping the chicken before it cuts out, leaving more room for mystery?

It'd be cool if he was an ominous dragony shape in shadows at the end as we celebrate our big reveal going well with our little minions doing a fun dance routine with the stolen goods. Getting a tray of steaks thrown to him for his part.

Hmm, that does bring to mind a possiblity for balancing Iskander a bit.

Dragon upkeep ain't cheap. Probably need to pay some noticiably increased living expenses, or risk him catching attention by going out hunting.

And probably have to find a good place for him to stay.
Possible write in action for next turn:
Find an abandoned mine that Iskander can use as lair. Also doubles as villain lair where we hide stolen goods.

Yeah, we'll basically HAVE to set up a dragon lair somewhere outside town. It can conveniently double as our villain hideout (don't want to fill our legal house with obviously stolen goods), but there's no way we can keep Iskander in our house (he won't fit through the door).

Iskander can then function as security for our lair, as well as heavy transport and evac, but will probably be busy a lot of the time with lair upkeep and hunting, so we might need to spend money on a cow if we want him for a long mission.

Having to pay a high upkeep for an out of theme minion just sounds sad.

We should invent a puppetification spell so that he looks on-theme while he's on the job. Then it would be okay.

Just read through all of this. It's really impressive that you managed to write all of this in a week. I've never watched Paw Patrol before (I just found out it even existed), but the story's very interesting so far. Would it be alright if I write a omake about when Johanna and Presto first started talking to one another?

Thank you for the kinds words. :) Paw Patrol isn't really special when it comes to the writing, but it occupies a special nostalgic place in my heart, which is why I made this quest when I saw it again.

Also, you can absolutely make an omake about that. :D

High end familiar means high upkeep.

It also means that he's effectively unassailable for several turns until the Paw Patrol has known about him long enough to develop specific anti-dragon countermeasures, and still tough even then, meaning we have a Boss Monster to prevent anyone from even trying to get into our lair, and don't really need to worry about escape plans beyond making sure we're someplace he can pick us up.

It also means we can't use him too often as he's a bit.... obvious. More tmies he goes out, someone might track him.

Look, dragons have been stealing gold for ages, and they're apparently sneaky enough for people to still believe they don't exist!

Look, we were running a distraction.
A distraction so effective that it let a nine-foot tall dragon with massive wings and bronze scales sparklier than rainbow glitter somehow steal a giant golden chicken statue as shiny as said dragon with no one else noticing?

Could be, but I'm more inclined to the theory that the dice are screwing with me. :V

Look, their idea of emergency services for the town is a dog pack, honestly, we could've distracted them with a basic card trick.

You could also had the dice rolls had lese impact on the story. The Narrative is more important than the dice rolls.

True. But then again, Dragon. :V I'll try to make sure that the narrative takes precedence, though, so thanks for the advice. :)
I had seen too many QM drop they quest, because of the dice rolls (even good ones) ruining the narrative.
Also maybe turn down the number of dice rolls per updated.
How about this idea. Instead of nobody saw the Dragon, they only saw some part of it and it shadow.
Even in the photos there are only some part of it.

AH.

What I meant to imply was that no one noticed that a dragon had stolen the chcken statue in all the chaos, but those who didn't have their cameras and phones stolen were able to accidentally record that yes, there was indeed a dragon that stole the statue.

In-show universe, the dragon stealing the statue will be a "blink-and-you-miss-it" background detail.
