Turn 3 (March 2015)
March 1, 2015: Adventure Bay, California.

You happily watched as the Allays and Vexes took turns jumping off a cardboard diving board and diving into the massive cookie pile, chuckling as you see that some of them are even wearing floaties.

"They're adorable, aren't they?" You said aloud as you turned your head, only to remember you hadn't brought Presto with you. He was still upstairs since you needed to give him a new stitching.

You sighed as you realized that this would poke some more holes into your moneybags. Fortunately, you had a job now, so the prospect of having to spend more money was less daunting now.

20D100 = $1,216 earned last month.

It wasn't quite enough to make a money pile, or pay the rent, but it was certainly a welcome sight for your eyes. One day, you had worked particularly hard, and Mr. Porter was so pleased with what you had done that he had just slapped a $100 bill into your hand and told you to enjoy yourself.

You'd spent it all on muffins. Chocolate, blueberry, raspberry, frosted, maple, etcetera etcetera.

Hey, if your Allays and Vexes could indulge themselves with cookies, why couldn't you do so after a productive month for yourself as well?

Living Situation:

You live in a rented house that you could potentially buy for yourself in the future.

You currently have $23,316 in cold, hard currency, with some more in illiquid assets. You'll have to pay $2,000 in rent every month, as well as expenses. You have a job now, though, so that helps.

|--------------------------------------------|

You have 2 Villainous Actions.

[] Picking Pockets: You're not too short on funds right now, but it'd be useful to get some extra money just-in-case. You and your Allays could probably pick enough pockets that you'd have enough money to pay the bills and stuff. DC: 10/30/50/70/90

[] Causing Chaos for Chuckles(Secretly): Honestly... you don't have much to do, so why not let your Vexes and Allays loose? They can keep the Paw Patrol busy with mundane and stupid issues, making them less likely to stumble upon or catch you should you be committing crimes soon. DC: 30/45/60

[] Make Your Public Villainous Debut: There's no time like the present to let the world know of your supervillain awesomeness! Grab your costume, clean up Presto, prepare your many minions, and show the world that they should tremble before Presto the Magnificent and his amazing assistant The Puppeteer!! (Costs 2 Villainous Actions. Begins Mini-Arc: Pups Fight a Supervillain.)

[] Carjacking: You've never stolen a car before, but you're sure it can't be that hard, right? It's like breaking into a store, except it's a car instead. DC: 40/60

[] Burglary for Beginners: Now that you have some experience in the art of burglary, the idea of robbing a house when its occupants might still be in it is less daunting than it was previously. DC: 25/45/65

[] Purloining From the Paw Patrol: This is... audacious, to say the least. It'd absolutely be worth trying to snatch something from the Lookout, but on the other hand... It is also an incredibly foolish plan that could see you ignomiously captured. DC: 80

[] Write-In

|--------------------------------------------|

You have 3 Personal Actions.

[] Baubles and Bits: You're not too short on funds right now, but it'd be useful to get some extra money just-in-case. You could use your Allays to legally pick up random stuff they find. It won't get you in trouble, and maybe you'll find something useful along the way. DC: 10/30/50/70/90

[] Errands Here and There: You're not too short on funds right now, but it'd be useful to get some extra money just-in-case. Doing a few errands around the town should net you some nice pay, plus it'll allow you to learn some juicy gossip that could be useful. DC: 10/20/40

[] Making Friends: You're naturally shy, and you aren't that good with people. However, after you managed to make some good first impressions with your neighbors, and your blooming friendship with Yumi, you feel much more confident in trying to make friends. DC: 15

[] A Nice Walk: Just taking a nice walk with no strings attached should be good for you. DC: 10

[] Summoning a Familiar: Given the literal treasure that has metaphorically fallen into your lap, it would be a waste to to not use it, right? You'll grab Presto and your minions, set up a nice area for the summoning, and then hopefully summon a familiar. DC: 40/60/80

[] Train Magic: You've trained up your skill in magic, and even gained a spell for your troubles! However, you could become even better if you focused some more on it. DC: 10/30/50

[] Workout: You've got muscles now, girl, and it shows. This. DC: 10/30/50

[] Sensei Yumi: Your new friend Yumi Pearson has offered to give you some lessons in martial arts any time you wish. It'd be rude not to oblige her, and leaerning how to fight would help a lot with your... secret occupation, yeah, that's it. DC: 30/50

[] Learn a Skill: Write-In below what skill you want to learn.
-[] Write-In

[] Train a Skill: Write-In below what existing skill you have that you want to improve.

A/N:

I've written up some clarifications for powers, skills, and such in the Character Sheet and Reputation and Relationships Sheet, so go check it out to make sure that you know what your bonuses are.

I've also made it so that it's jot just rent but also other expenses like food, toys, and such. So, the rent and other expenses come up to $2,000 per month instead of paying that much just for rent.

Also, I just want to thank you all for participating. This was just a stupid idea that I had when I'd started this, and I wasn't expecting this much of positive reception when I made it. Thank you for making this worth it. :)

You took in a deep breath, before letting it out.

It was time for your big debut, the time you would show everyone what a true supervillain was. Not like that fool Mayor Humdinger, who always managed to humiliate himself with his half-witted schemes and charm equivalent to a wet sock, nor his lapcats the Kitten Catastrophe Crew.

No... You would be beyond them

But before that, you needed to prepare your assistants, the tricks, the magical trinkets, and last but of course not the least, your "boss" Presto the Magnificent.

(Continued in Mini-Arc: Pups Fight a Supervillain.)

Had this been any other month, you would have probably been frustrated with how lacking it seemed your improvement in magic had been.

However, you had been busy dealing with your other projects, and given how those had gone, you were more than happy to accept the fruits that you had gotten.

It wasn't even that miniscule of a reward, seeing as how you had been able to learn yet another spell. It was a simple defense spell, Scutum. It basically cast a large purple shield that protected you from most physical objects.

Experimenting with your minions, you'd had them throw cardboard shruikens and darts at you, which your shield deflected with ease. At least when you got it up in time.

Doing some more experiments, you had had your minions drop a bowling ball down onto the shield(with you not standing under it, of course), and had promptly discovered that if a meteor somehow landed directly on you, you would not survive even if you did cast Scutum in time.

You were more concerned, though, about the broken floor under the bowling ball.

Rewards:

Dark Arts Acolyte Trait now gives a +12 bonus instead of a +10.

Spell Learned!
Scutum: A basic spell that casts a purple shield that can deflect most physical attacks. (+20 to Defense Rolls if Scutum is successfully cast. DC: 20 to successfully cast.)

1D100+10(Grimoire)+10(Acolyte)*+5(Presto) = 80+10+10+5 = Art!Crit! 105 (Ugh... Fine, I'll let it slide. I mean-)

"Why, of all the possible candles out there, are strawberry-scented candles the ones we can't use?" Presto rambled on as you recited the Chant of Calling, the mystical candles lighting up nothing, as it was high noon at this time.

"Not sure, now please don't bother me." You hastily say as you finish the chant, finishing with a fluorish of jazz hands for fun. "And now we wait."

...
...

"...So, whatcha think we're gonna get, Jo?"

"Honestly? Could be anything from a gremlin to Cerberus himself to a..." You trail off as you look through the grimoire to find an obscure monster just to prove your point. "...A Tokoloshe."

"Ooh, let me se-Gagh!!" Presto reels back as looks at the depiction of a Tokoloshe, and you think you hear some of your Allays gasp. You didn't even know they could do that. "Geez, they're ugly little monsters. How do they even see?"

"Judging by the lack of eyes," You deadpan, "I'd say they can't see at all."

"That's just depressing. There's so much joy from being able to se-"

"Wait!"

You shout as the circle began to glow, almost blinding you. You stood up in eager tenseness, waiting to see what you had summoned.

Then, suddenly, massive, scaly wing manifested and knocked the candles down, followed by another wing. Your eyes widened and your breath hastened as you slowly walked back from the increasingly giant familiar manifesting in front of you. Bigger and bigger it grew, until it reached the height of the tallest tree near you.

The shining bronze wyvern huffed and puffed smoky breath as his gaze went to and fro, before settling on you. You almost forgot you could breathe as its toothy maw slowly approached you, your limbs rendered numb and useless.

A booming yet soothing voice spoke.

"So, you are the whelp who summoned me. Summoning me is proof that you are worthy of being my master, for I cannot be summoned by a weakling."

"A p-pleasure to meet you as well." You slowly mutter out, not daring to even accidentally insult the very big, very scary dragon in front of you. "I am Johanna Kairi. And you are...?"

"Iskander."

"Very well, then, Iskander, I accept you as my familiar. Though, I do still wish to give you your offering. After all, it did take awhile to buy all these cow corpses, and it would be a waste for them to go uneaten."

"Hmmf. Very well, then. But if I find a hint of rabies in them-"

"No need to worry about that, good Iskander. I buy only the best of domesticated corpses."

Rewards:

Familiar Gained!
Iskander: A colossal bronze wyvern named after Alexander the Great, he seems to be rather uncaring to anything else. He is, however, loyal to you. He's also a dragon, nothing needs to be said.
-Great Balls of Fire: Iskander is able to breathe giant balls of fire at his foes. (+20 to Iskander's Ranged Rolls)
-A Whip for a Tail: Iskander has a massive tail which he can use to bat opponents away like balls. (+20 to Iskander's Melee Rolls.)
-Scales Like Bronze: Iskander laughs in the face of his enemies' arrows and bolts! (+20 to Iskander's Defense Rolls.)
-Giant Wings: Iskander can fly. (Can use Iskander to fly away if need be. Iskander gains +20 to rolls related to all Combat Rolls when he is flying. Johanna receives a +10 to all Combat Rolls if on Iskander when he is flying..)

Cannot repeat this Action again for four Turns.

Critical Roll I: 39+10+5 = 54

"Are we there yet?" Presto whined to you as you, he, and some of your Allays made your way through the beaten, abandoned trail.

"Not yet, Presto, we need to go further." You exasperstedly respond as you push back a rather annoying tree branch out of the way. "Besides, it's only been ten minutes since we started looking for this thing."

"Ugh, fine... Are we there yet?"

"Presto, I swear-!!"

An Hour Later:

"Finally!! Took us forever." You exclaim in relief as you pull the treasure out of the hole you dug. The 37th hole, you think, though you lost count after the 15th hole. "This had better be worth all the sweat."

The treasure was inside what seemed to be a rather big nanny bag, decorated with obnoxiously colorful flower patterns. On the handle was a somehow pristine tag that read? "Be careful what you drop in here."

Oddly ominous tags aside, you greedily opened the bag up in order to get to the trea-"What the heck, this bag doesn't have a bottom!!"

Turning the bag upside down and pushing your arm inside, you find that it is indeed doesn't have a bottom, judging by how you were able to put your hand in an area of the bag that shouldn't exist. The possibilities with this thing were limitless!

"Can we go home now, Jo? Please??"

"Yeah, yeah, Presto, we will, just let me squeal in uncontained and pure glee first."

Inhale.

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Rewards:

Bottomless Bag: A magical nanny bag that allows you to store anything and everything you need inside it. (+40 to rolls related to Thievery. Can carry anything that can fit inside its opening.)

The loss of my sanity.

Pups Fight a Supervillain: Planning Prologue
March 26, 2015: Adventure Bay, California.

"Looking dapper, my beautiful co-conspirator!" Presto cheered as you twirl happily in your costume, unashamedly giggling like a little girl as you appreciate the absolute awesomeness of your costume. You can tell that your Allays and Vexes were appreciative of your costume as well, as you can see them cheering you on on the side. Iskander, as dignified and stoic as ever, isn't caught up in the hype and excitement of this being your SUPERVILLAIN!! debut, but he does nod in approval of your outfit.

"It'll certainly catch the eye of the people," he states simply.

"That's what I intend for, yes." you eagerly grin back at him, before whistling to your Allays. They quickly flutter off before returning with a large mirror. You take a few more seconds to appreciate how you look in the mirror, doing some silly poses here and there, though you can hear the resigned sigh of Iskander behind you.

What does your costume look like?

[] Insert Picture

Looking good, girl. Looking real good.

After doing one last pose for good fortune, you clap your hands together, signalling for your minions and familiar to pay attention. You then pull up a large corkboard and stand at attention.

"Alright, people, listen up! Presto and I have come up with a truly awe-inspiring and fear-inducing scheme that will knock fear and terror into the hearts of every lady, gentleman, boy, girl, and dog in Adventure Bay! I know we've gone over it many times in the past already, but it won't hurt to go over it one more time. Right?"

"There is no such thing as being too prepared," Iskander sagely nods his head in agreement.

"Alright, so as you all know, Adventure Bay is holding a ceremony today to celebrate the Paw Patrol for all the good they've done for the city. And naturally, we're going to crash that celebration rightly! "

Write in the scheme you plan on committing and how you're going to pull it off. Go as detailed as you need, including what your main objectives are, how you'll deal with the Paw Patrol, how you're going to escape, etc.

[] Write-In

"...And that's about it." You cheerfully say as you reach the end of explaining the fine details and intricacies of your diabolical debut, before turning back to your enraptured audience and Iskander too. "Any questions?"

"No. The sooner we start this scheme, the sooner we can end it." Iskander declares with finality.

"Yeah, what he said! Let's get this over with!" Presto cheerfully exclaims, getting a chuckle out of you.

"Alrighty, then. You all know what to do, my wonderful minions. So let's get to it! My... Ah... Uhh..."

An awkward pause settles over as you quickly realize you had forgotten to give your band of marvelous ne'er-do-wells an actual name.

"...Any suggestions, guys?" You sheepishly ask, rubbing the back of your neck as your cheeks go the color of strawberry. Iskander just pinches his snout in justified exasperation(and didn't that hurt), and your minions can only shrug.

"...The Sinister Syndicate?" Presto finally offers.

"It'll do for now!" You declare, shaking off your embarrassment for confidence before quickly running through the forest and toward Adventure Bay, your small army of Allays, Vexes, and Iskander right behind you. "Forward, Sinister Syndicate, to mayhem and mischief!"

|--------------------------------------------|

A/N:

I'll fully admit, the reason why I allowed you to go full write-in for your scheme is because I do not know how to bleeding categorize your options and such. :V On the plus side, you'll get to go wild with your imaginations, and I truly think this is the best way for these scheme votes to work in the future. :D

Pups Fight a Supervillain: Let The Show Begin!
March 26, 2015: Adventure Bay, California.

I don't deserve to be here.

It was the only thing that Chase could think as he looked around at all the people that had come to the ceremony. It seemed like the whole town was attending, from the Turbot brothers and Mr. Porter to Ed Hawley the frickin' train engineer. Even the cats and birds seemed to be here to celebrate; he was pretty sure he'd seen Hooty in a nearby tree. All of these people were smiling and laughing like the chaos of the last month hadn't happened, like everything had gone right for them.

Like the Paw Patrol hadn't failed them. Like he hadn't failed them.

Why? Why, after everything that had happened, would Adventure Bay not only forgive their failures but also throw them a ceremony to honor them?

The others deserved it, but Chase? Chase, who'd failed to find one lone burglar back in January? Chase, who'd gotten himself and Rocky injured because he couldn't swallow his damn pride and admit he was wrong? He couldn't understand it. He didn't want to.

"You okay, Chase?" Skye's concerned voice snapped Chase to attention as he turned to face the cocker spaniel.

"I-i'm fine, Skye, nothing's wrong." He stuttered out, trying his best to project his voice in a steady, calm manner. From the unimpressed look on her face, though, he could tell she didn't buy it.

"Look, Mister," she began sternly, "You know that lying won't get you away from this conversation, so stop trying to and just tell the truth."

Her serious face then gave way to one more worried and empathetic. "We've all been worried for you, Chase, especially after you and Rocky got hurt. You seem so much more distant and irritable now. That's not like you, Chase."

Chase sighed. He couldn't be annoyed with her for prying, not when she was just being concerned for him. "You're right," he began, slowly dragging his paw back and forth across the pavement. "It's just... I'm the second-in-command, the one who leads you guys whenever Ryder can't. I'm not supposed to fail, yet that's all I've been doing these past few months.

"I couldn't catch that burglar back in January, I got myself and Rocky hurt last month, yet here I am being honored along with the rest of you. And I just can't figure out why."

An awkward and tense silence came over the two of them as Chase turned away from Skye, thinking that she was surely ashamed of him now.

"..."

"...Marshall, water cannons." Skye suddenly deadpanned, causing Chase to turn to her in confusion.

"Huh?"

"Arf arf!! Water cannons!" A voice yelped from across the town square.

"...Wait-!"

But before he could stop Marshall, Chase was hit square in the face with about a liter of water.

"Pfluhn freh flurgh!" Chase sputtered as he coughed hard, pretty sure that some of the water had gone down the wrong pipe. Shaking himself dry, he then turned to Marshall and yelled, "Marshall, what is wrong with you?!"

"You were beating yourself up over failing again despite Ryder telling you otherwise, weren't you?" An utterly unapologetic Marshall responded as he and the other pups trotted towards the Skye and Chase.

"Wh-wha-?"

"We've been best friends and partners for years now, Chase, you can't fool us." It was Rocky who deadpanned this time.

"...I was asking about how you knew Ryder had a talk with me." Chase nervously replied, trying to deflect the question only to shrink slightly upon receiving the most unimpressed looks ever.

"Dude," Zuma piped up, "It's the most Ryder thing Ryder would do, why would we not know he did it?"

"And don't try to change the subject, Mister!" Skye quickly reprimanded him.

"Yeah, Chase, you need to stop beating yourself over making mistakes." Marshall more softly admonished him, which caused the others to adopt more sympathetic looks. "We all trip and stumble at times, especially me. So just because you messed up one time, it doesn't make you a failure. It makes you normal."

"But I'm the second-in-command," Chase weakly retorted, "I can't be normal. I have to be an example to you all, and I... I-"

"Can't do that if you fail?" Rubble cut in, making Chase go silent, before sighing and slowly approaching his friend. "Chase, we already look up to you. You're super duper extra cool, buddy, and we wouldn't be the same without you."

"We don't need you to be perfect," Skye beamed at him, "We just need you to do your best.

"Yeah!" The rest of the pups excitedly piped up. Chase teared up a little, seeing the complete support that his friends had for him.

"Besides," Everest chimed in. "I haven't been part of the Paw Patrol for as long as the rest of you, yet I'm pretty sure that Ryder messes up as well. Need I remind you all about the crab incident?"

They all collectively shivered at the horrible memory. Then, Marshall started giggling, followed by Rubble, then Zuma as well. Soon, the rest of the pups were laughing along with them.

"Thanks, guys, I really needed that kick in the shin." Chase remarked as he finished giggling. He then winced as he felt his ribs ache from where he'd fallen on them. "Though, I really didn't need the one to the ribs."

"At least you're not moping anymore." Marshall chuckled.

"True." Chase agreed, before facing all of his friends and beaming at them. "And thank you all. For everything."

"Don't worry about it, best buddy," Rubble happily responded.

"You'd do the same for us if we were in your situation," Skye kindly stated, placing a paw on Chase's shoulder. "It's what makes you a good friend."

"U-um, th-thanks, Skye. Y-you too." Chase stammered out as he blushed at the physical contact. His ears perked up as he detected gigg... ling...

Shoot.

He turned to see the rest of his friends had started snickering at him, and they only doubled down once Skye had noticed and started blushing as well.

Goshdangit, they were never going to let them live this down, were they?

(POV Shift: Johanna)

"You ready, partner?" You whispered as you slowly walked to the town hall, nervously adjusting your suit and mask here and there. Your muscles were tensed up, your palms were sweaty, and your fingers were fidgety.

"Ready as I'll ever be, Jo." Presto whispered back. His unusually soothing voice helped you calm your nerves, and you gave him a soft smile in return.

"Excellent." You respond as you look across the street and toward the town hall, which was packed with. It was 11:51 AM, almost time for the ceremony to truly begin in earnest. Clutching your "nanny bag" tightly, you take in a deep breath before plastering on the most wide and sincere smile you can. It was showtime.

Skipping quickly across the street, you walked toward the entrance of the town square and waited for the signal.

Finally, after what had seemed like a long eternity, Mayor Goodway and the Paw Patrol finally made their way up the stage. After tapping the microphone a few times, Mayor Goodway began to speak.

"Welcome, everybody, to the Paw Patrol Appreciation Festival!" She excitedly announced, which caused the crowd to respond with an equally excited cry. Say what you will about Mayor Goodway, she knew her way with words.

"As you all know, today, we are taking the time today to honor the Paw Patrol and celebrate everything they've done for our beautiful city. But, before we begin the festivities..."

There's your cue!

"You'll be entertained by us!" Presto dramatically declaresld as you fired a Micare up into the air, making sure you did't accidentally flashbang anyone and give the game away. You then casually and confidentally sashayed your way toward the stage as the crowd parted for you, though some stared at you in surprise and with suspicion.

"I'm sorry, but who are you?" Mayor Goodway asked you, very confused.

In response, Presto smugly stated, "I, my good mayor, am Presto the Magnificent, and my more massive associate is The Puppeteer." After he introduced you, you quickly bowed dramatically before her.

"We wish to share our magical talents all around the world, and we wanted to start by honoring the amazing heroes of Adventure Bay." You declared, before politely tipping your hat toward the pups. "We give our most sincere regards to the Paw Patrol pups Chase and Rocky, in hopes they will have a speedy and painless recovery."

Paw Patrol Perception Roll: 1D100+10(Suspicious)-10(Causing Chaos)* = 31+10-10 = 31.

You saw Chase and Everest ever so slightly squint their eyes at you, and your hand discretely tightened around your wand in response. Just in case, of course.

"Well..." Ryder began, rubbing his chin in thought. "It would be fun to watch. What do you think, Mayor Goodway."

"Well, I had planned for some extra entertainment beforehand," Mayor Goodway hesitantly said, "but I had intended for it to be Chickaletta showing off her dance moves. Though... I suppose we can do a magic show instead."

You beamed in delight as Presto happily replied, "Thank you so very much, Mayor Goodway. I swear upon all my stitching that you will not forget this."

You took one massive hop onto the stage as Mayor Goodway and the Paw Patrol made their way off the platform to give you space to perform, though you noticed that Chase was still staring at you with suspicion.

"Thank you, thank you," you dramatically began, lowering your voice a tad for an additional flair. "Now, to begin this show, let me ask you all something. Take anything you have, something you can hold, and raise it high in the sky for all to see."

Most eagerly did as you asked, but some of your audience was still hesitant. Seeing this, Presto coughed, which ellicited a few giggles, before reassuringly telling the crowd, "Come now, folks, don't be shy, we won't bite. At least, I don't think I'd do much if I did bite ya'."

The injection of humor seemed to have done the trick, as the rest of the now chuckling crowd finally raised their hands, in which phones, wallets, money, and other things are held.

You gave your best toothpaste ad grin as you set your bag on the ground, taking the time to slowly unzip it. "Thank you, my darlings," you humbly thanked your audience, which illicited some... affectionate sighs out of them? Huh?

Ah, whatever, time to get paid.

"And now," you dramatically announced, "drumrolls, please!"

Thump thump thump thump thump thump

As the audience enthusiastically one-hand slapped their knees, you let yourself sinisterly grin early.

"For my first trick, I shall make allll these things... DISAPPEAR!!"

You dramatically swing your bag towards the crowd, releasing your many minions to fly and reap the fields of their crop!

Vexes and Allays Attack!: 1D100+10(Planning)+10(Vexes)+10(Allays) = 94+10+10+10 = Art!Crit! 124 (how)

Critical Roll I: 29+10+10+10 = 59

Stunned silence.

Then, all hell broke loose as your Vexes and Allays descended upon the panicking crowd. Mayhem and mischief reigned supreme as your Allays and Vexes once again step up to hit another grand slam.

A Vex crashed into a man's face, causing him to bowl into two other people.

An Allay did a dive run, snatching twenty items with one swoop. It quickly returned to your bag and deposited the pilfered properties inside, before rushing back to get more stuff.

The Paw Patrol were briefly stunned into inaction by all the chaos, trying to make sense of what on earth was happening before them.

It cost them.

A rather innovative Vex quickly rushed toward them and slammed into Marshall's Pup Pack, causing its water cannons to activate and unleash its watery payload on the rest of the Paw Patrol.

Rocky and Rubble were launched back by some particularly powerful blasts, Chase and Skye fell to the ground due to the sheer pressure of it, and the rest of the Paw Patrol were distracted by the incessant spray. Marshall, for his part, desperately tried to get his Pup Pack in control, but with all the noise and pandemonium around him, the Pup Pack didn't register his voice commands.

Before you was pure chaos, and there was no one who could stop you.

You turned to Presto and gave him a knowing look.

"Presto."

"Puppeteer."

"Together?"

"Together."

Inhale...

NYAHAHHAHHAAAHAH!!MUAHAHHAHAAH!!!

A/N:

@Magoose, GET YOUR DAMN DICE OFF OF MY LAWN!!!

I really like interludes, but sometimes they can come off as a bit like "other characters fawn over the protagonist in a scene you alresdy wrote." Here, I figured that I could fit in a good semi-interlude that expanded upon the other characters while also avoiding that particular trope.

Also, how do you guys feel about how I write the characters?

(Hilariously & Tenuously Non-Canon) Untitled Omake: ConfusedPotato
Ryder and the Paw Patrol stared in slack jawed amazement. They were looking at pictures of what had happened to their vehicles after The Puppeteer's (or was it Presto's) minions had taken them for a joyride. Yes, some damage they could understand. Maybe a crash or two as they didn't care about what happened to the vehicles in the end. But not the absolute pandemonium that followed. Somehow every single vehicle was in some unique form of complete disaster that rendered them unusable. So it was with a strange sense of morbid curiosity that they opened the summaries of the reports given by helpful citizens of Adventure Bay to see if they could figure out how the hell such a thing could have happened.

Vehicle No.1
Ryder's ATV
Taken by the Puppeteer along with the pup-pad. Knocked over everything she passed. Somehow driven in water mode all the way to the harbour, skids snapped off because of this. Managed to turn it back into land mode right in time to hit the water. Rescued by dragon before she got wet, the ATV is now short circuited at the bottom of the bay.

"Up until that point I thought dragons didn't exist in real life."
"Yeah, me too."
"Same here."

Vehicle No.2
Chase's police truck
Currently dangling under a set of high voltage, highly suspended, powerlines. Someone probably tried to perform an epic grappling swing with the winch. It didn't work. The only reason it hasn't hit the ground is that the cable isn't long enough. The electricity has fried both the engine and the motor and the wires are so tangled together it would probably be easier to just cut the whole knot.

"We're going to have to stage a blackout in order to get that down aren't we?"
"Yup, unless we want to get electrocuted."
"What I'm concerned about is how the cable hasn't snapped yet."

Vehicle No.3
Marshal's fire truck
'Merely' in a hole. Hole is perfect size just to fit the truck with no room either front, back or to the sides. Ladder reaches halfway to the top of the hole. Barely. How they managed to get past the concrete barriers into the construction site is anyone's guess.

"Why was there a hole that deep in the construction site to begin with?"
"Not sure, maybe they were digging a well?"

Vehicle No.4
Skye's helicopter
Flew around till it ran out of fuel. The minions decided that the proper course of action was to shed weight. By disassembling it in mid-air and throwing the parts overboard. Currently scattered in small pieces over several miles of countryside. The propeller is the only piece that made it to the a landing pad.

"We're lucky that they didn't hit anything important with the pieces."
"That would have made finding them easier though."
"True"

Vehicle No.5
Rocky's recycle truck
Was last seen smashing into the rubbish dump while in tugboat form, destabilising all the junk stacks as it went through. Currently suspected to be buried somewhere under all the piles of rubbish.

"Can't recycle while the truck is missing so everything is dumped into the trash. Can't collect rubbish while the truck is still buried, as that would make the problem worse. This is going to get annoying fast."

Vehicle No.6
Rubble's bulldozer
Discovered upside down on top of seal island's lighthouse. In a room that has no entrances or exits large enough to fit it. The fact that the vehicle even fits in the room itself could be considered a miracle.

"How did they even get it in there?"
"Never mind that, how did manage to drive it there in the first place? It's an island!"

Vehicle No.7
Zuma's hovercraft
Found impaled on the top of one of the supports for the bridge over the bay. The air cushion has been punctured but the fans on the back are still on, all that does is make the vehicle spin around the pole like some sort of Christmas ornament.

"They are not wrong. I does look like a Christmas ornament."
"It's also doing more damage to the vehicle, I would like it to stop."

Vehicle No.8
Paw patroller
Located not far from the garage, literally wrapped around a tree like a pretzel. All 18 of it's wheels are missing as is the engine and various internal components. All signs indicate that they kept going in the direction of travel when the rest of the vehicle did not. No clue as to where they all are currently as the direction of travel was straight towards a cliff.

"Okay, how fast were they going when they hit the tree? And how is the tree still standing?"
"I've also checked, we don't have any spare tyres anymore, they've disappeared."

Vehicle No.9
Everest's snowmobile
Easy to find, near impossible to get out. Trapped in the middle of an oversized iceberg, the size of a large building. Iceburg is currently tethered to the docks but projections indicate that it will be weeks at minimum before the ice melts enough for us to extract it. Currently doubling as a tourist attraction and source of free ice for the town.

"Does anyone have any idea how they managed to get it inside an iceberg? Or where they managed to get an iceberg in the first place?"
"Dunno, magic?"
"Sounds as good an answer as any."

Vehicle No.10
Air patroller
Crashed in Foggy Bottom after collecting every fine and airspace violation known to the area multiple times, and necessitating the invention of more than a few new ones along the way. Surprisingly intact, only needing maintenance, fuel and some spare parts. Unfortunately Mayor Vernon Humdinger and the Kitten Catastrophe Crew found it first. It is now impounded and trapped in bureaucratic limbo. The red tape and paperwork to solve this issue fills several rooms.

"He's insisting that we pay for all the fines and repairs as well before we get it back isn't he?"
"Yep."

Vehicle No.11
Tracker's jeep
Went missing somewhere deep in the densest part of the jungle. The tracker has pinpointed it's location down to a square mile, but damage to the tracker means that a grid search must be performed. Due to the poor visibility and difficulty traversing the terrain this is predicted to take a while.

"Grid Search?"
"It's like trying to find the barbecue sauce by carefully checking each cupboard in the kitchen individually."
"Also, isn't Tracker in Bolivia right now?"
"He is, I'm not sure how his update report got mixed in there."
"I think the lack of sleep is getting to us."

Voting's closed! Man, that race was close, but I think stealing the vehicles won just barely. I'll get to work on the update soon, and I'll try to reflect how close that vote was.

Also, @ConfusedPotato, your omake will still be non-canon for now, due to the fact we haven't gotten to that part yet, but we'll see. :) For now, though, I'll give Johanna a bonus to escaping.

(Canon) First Meeting: Digital2
First Meeting

It was pouring rain as Johanna walked home alone with tears streaming down her face. She had worked so hard for that talent show and it still wasn't enough! Instead, the prize had gone to a dog that couldn't even do actual magic! She let out a sigh. Still, maybe she should have expected it. Ever since the mayor had managed to successfully replace the police, firefighters and parademics with the Paw Patrol to the delight of the citizens, it was clear that Adventure Bay would always favor dogs over humans. She looked down sadly at her hand puppet Presto, which she had only recently found in her attic. Maybe she could just give up on her dream of being a magician, she thought bitterly. Suddenly, a sharp gust of wind yanked her umbrella out of her hand. "Hey!" she shouted as she reached out to grab it, only to snag her arm on a thicket of thorns. "Ow!" Johanna winced as she clutched her bleeding hand. "It's not fair, I should have the one everyone was applauding for," she muttered sniffling. "I was the better magician." A few drops of blood trickled from her hand and soaked into the eyes of her puppet Presto.

That night, Johanna tossed and turned in her sleep as the storm raged on outside. She found herself dreaming about watching the talent show, but this time from the far back of the auditorm in the shadows where no one could even see her. As the audience cheered wildly for the dog winner, Johanna found herself clenching her fists in jealousy.

"Terrible, isn't it? These people don't even know real talent when they see it."

Johanna looked at the seat next to her in utter astonishment. Sitting there was her puppet Presto, gazing at her with eerie red eyes.

"Presto! Did you just speak?!" Johanna yelped, her mouth agape.

"You awakened me," Presto replied nonchalantly with a smile. He took off his top hat and took a bow. "Behold, Presto the Magnificent at your service!"

Johanna just stared at him for a few moments. "This--this isn't really happening. You can't actually be real."

"You can do actual magic, Johanna, but the idea of a talking puppet is too crazy for you? Tsk, tsk, tsk," Presto replied, shaking his little puppet head. His voice took on a serious tone. "But really, don't fret about not being able to win the contest, dear. You have a talent for magic few possess, and you have only scratched the surface of it." His dark red eyes bored into Johanna as though he was gazing into her very soul. "Let me show how just famous you could truly be."

There was the sound of a loud snap as Johanna suddenly found herself teleported in front of a wide array of TV screens. "What on Earth..." her words trailed off as she realized what she was seeing. On screen were numerous news broadcasts in several languages showing a masked supervillain dominating Adventure Bay with an army of minions at her beck and call. As the supervillain gazed into the camera, Johanna was stunned as she realized that she was looking at herself. Many feared her, many admired her, but everyone knew who she was and the power she possessed. The entire world knew about the villainess that could even bring even the mighty Paw Patrol to their knees. Johanna could only stare at the screens in wonder as she soaked all in.

"Pretty crazy, huh?" Presto finally spoke up next to her. "This can all become a reality, you know. If you agree to work together with me." He held out a paw. "Do we have a agreement?"

Johanna hesitated for a moment. Then, she thought back to her humiliating loss in the talent show and turned back to the screens. There it was, all the recognition she had ever craved and more. "Yes, I agree," she said, shaking Presto's paw as the puppet grinned.

Johanna shot up in bed as her heart raced. She looked around in the darkness wildly until she spotted her hand puppet Presto nearby. "Presto?" she said uncertainly. There was no reply. Johanna let out a sigh. It had just been a crazy dream. Of course it had been. Did she really think Presto had come to life? She grabbed the hand puppet and stuck her hand in it as she frowned. Had his eyes always been red?

"What's up?"

Johanna shrieked as Presto suddenly twitched and turned to laugh at her. "Sorry, I couldn't help myself. But there's no need to be scared, partner. We have so much to discuss."

Pups Fight a Supervillain: All According to Plan(Not Really)
March 26, 2015: Adventure Bay, California.

"They're the ones who're pulling all the strings." You gleefully sang as men and women fled in terror.

"Now your precious valuables are gone!" Presto cheerfully replied in song as Vexes vexed and Allays attacked.

"Thanks to Presto, (and the puppets too),"

"They're Presto and the Puppeteer!"

"And we'll steal the giant chicken too!" You finished in-sync, grinning like madmen.

"NYAHHAHAHHAH!!!"

Finishing your evil cackling, you scanned the area, the scheming gears of your brain spinning in overtime. You could deal with the Paw Patrol as they were busy with... well, everything that was happening. Or...

Turning to the right, you spotted all the many vehicles of the Paw Patrol parked in a neat line across the road. Just sitting there. Perfect for the taking.

...Maybe Iskander wouldn't have to retrieve you after all.

"Quick change of plans, Presto," you whispered as you quickly pointed your wand at the Paw Patrol, too busy with Marshall's out-of-control Pup Pack and the swarming Allays and Vexes to notice you.

"Micare!"

Micare Cast Roll: 1D100+10(Planning)+12(Acolyte)*+5(Presto)+5(Omake Bonus) = 14+12+10+5+5 = 46 | DC: 15. Passed!
*Forgot that Acolyte gave +12 now when rolling, so it's fixed here.

A ball of light flew forward and landed right in the middle of the Paw Patrol before exploding in a cacophonous burst of light.

"Keep the show going for us, our minions!" You quickly yelled, to the affirmative nods of your Vexes and Allays.

As you grabbed your bag and quickly leapt off the stage, you noticed that the pups were even more disarrayed and disoriented than before, with Chase and Skye having the worst of it.

As you sprinted toward the vehicles, Presto chimed in, "Aren't you, like, a really bad driver, partner?"

"I'm not that bad." You protested as you reached Rubble's bulldozer, checking it over quickly before rushing over to Marshall's firetruck.

"I'm fairly certain you said it yourself. Remember, after you took a driving test about ten mo-"

"What driving test?" You asked, gritting your teeth for some reason. What driving test? You don't remember taking a driving test.

"You know, the-Nevermind." Presto sighed as you finished checking over the last of the vehicles, Zuma's hovercraft.

"Besides, the Allays and Vexes will drive the majority of the vehicles."

"I trust their driving capabilities even less than I trust you to drive in a straight line."

"...Fair."

Anyway, all of the vehicles seemed to be in tip-top shape, ripe for you to take. You really should thank the Paw Patrol for being kind enough to let you take them. Maybe even send them a card or something.

Iskander Stealth-Stealing Roll: 1D100+20(Claws)+10(Planning)+10(Chaos)-20(Big Dragon) = 83+20+10+10-20 = Art!Crit! 103. (OF COURSE THIS HAPPENS)

Critical Roll I: 63+20+10+10-20 = 83

A shadow passed over you briefly, but you ignored it. Now, to figure out how to make off with these vehicles while Iskander-

"MUAHHAAHAHAHAHH!!!!"

...Why was Presto cackling all of a sudden?

"AAAIIIEEEE!!"

Turning quickly to face where Presto was looking and the shriek of terror, you saw-"What the heck?!?!"

Blinking rapidly, you rubbed your eyes twice only to discover that yes, Iskander had indeed made off with the chicken statue already, thereby completing the core objective of your scheme. He had also succeeded in striking even more terror into the people, creating even more chaos.

...Maybe you should buy more cow corpses for him, sprinkle in some pigs and goats as an additonal reward.

Shaking your head of those sidetracking thoughts, you whistled to your Allays and Vexes, signalling for them to follow you. They quickly fluttered toward you as the Allays drop the last of their ill-gotten gains into your bad, though one of the Vexes lingered behind to give Ryder a quick wedgie.

Which, while utterly hilarious to watch, was kind of a bad move, as that had alerted him and the rest of the Paw Patrol to you trying to steal their vehicles. "Hey, get away from threre!"

Shoot.

"Thank you, Adventure Bay, for allowing us to entertain you," you faux-sadly shouted as you threw the bag onto Ryder's ATV before hopping on yourself, "but we sadly do not do encores. As such..."

"Stop, thieves!"

How Many Vehicles: 1D7* = 2
*I accidentally made the first roll with a 1d6, so that's why it says retry.

To your slight consternation, though, your Allays and Vexes were only able to drive the bulldozer and the recycling truck with two each piloting one. The other vehicles has apparently been too difficult for them to figure out how to drive.

No matter.

Getaway Driving: 1D10+10(Planning)+10(Omake Bonus)-10(Bad Driver) = 31+10+10-10 = 41 (MUAHAHAH)

"...We must leave now! FarewELLLL!!!!"

You suddenly screamed as the ATV took off with your minions right behind you, the sudden movement jolting you into a panic as you try desperately tried to keep yourself from crashing. You weren't that successful, but as you swerved and drifted across the sand, you were just thankful you didn't crash into a beach umbrella or something.

"I told you this was a bad idea!" Presto yelped as you hit a bump in the sand, causing you to shriek a little.

"Stop judging me, alright, we're still getting away!" You yell back as you weaved your way back to the road, driving towards the railroad, beyond which the forest and freedom laid.

"I have every right to judge you for your bad decisions!"

"Stop right there!" You heard Ryder sternly yell at you, and you quickly looked back to see the Paw Patrol, sans Chase and Rocky, on the tips of your heels, with Ryder dangling from a harness attached to Skye's helicopter.

Blasted pups!

"Get me closer to Rocky's truck, Skye!" Ryder yells behind you.

"So, the big bad Paw Patrol wants their vehicles back," Presto mocking yells back at them as you veer to the right to avoid an incoming van. "Well, then, let's see how they like what we pull up our sleeves!"

"Presto, I'm driving." You deadpan as you zigzag haphazardly across the street.

"Oh, right. Minions, defend the vehicles!"

Vexes and Allays Defense Roll: 1D100+6(Vexes)+6(Allays)-10(Moving Target) = 78+6+6-10 = 80

Ryder Boarding Roll:
1D100+10(Flying)-10(Chaos)-10(Moving Target-6(Vexes)-6(Allays) = 46+10-10-10-6-6 = 24

The six vexes and allays not driving burst into action, swarming towards Ryder with a storm of fury. Your intrepid minions pushed, shoved, and hassled Ryder, forcing him away from the truck as he flails around like a pinata. Not stopping there, they also swarmed the rest of the pups, forcing them to stall as they flailed and swatted their paws trying to get rid of your minions.

You took this opportunity to floor it, to make your great escape!

Shake Them Off Roll: 1D100+10(Distracted)+6(Vexes)+6(Allays)-10(Bad Driver) = 19+10+6+6-10 = 31

Then you hit a stop sign.

Then you hit two more.

Then you nearly drove off of the road and into a ditch trying to avoid hitting a family of deer.

Needless to say, the Paw Patrol were able to catch up with you again pretty soon.

"They're still on our tail, Puppeteer!" Presto nervously yelled as he looked back at the pups closing in on you.

Exhaling loudly, you steeled yourself before gripping your wand with the hand holding Presto. "Then it's time for drastic measures."

"Yfmmh!" Presto muttersled back enthusiastically as you pointed your wand back, trying your best to aim using the side mirrors of the ATV.

"Micare!"

Cast Micare Roll: 1D100+12(Acolyte)+5(Presto)+5(Omake Bonus)-15(Also Driving) = 62+12+5+5-15 = 69 | DC: 15. Passed!

Keeping Up:
1D100+10(Right Behind You)-10(Chaos)-10(Micare) = 37+10-10-10 = 27 (Yeah, they ain't catching you.)

As you finished waving your wand, a large ball of light shot back toward the pups before exploding. You couldn't have seen what had happened, given that you had quickly turned back to focus in driving, but you heard the surprised yelps of your pursuers, followed by a montage of crashes, bangs, and scrapes.

With a grin, you realized that you'd finally thrown them back, that you were gonna be scot free! You let a mad cackle rip out of your mouth as you drove off into the sunset(not really, it was 2 in the afternoon) as Presto shouted one last remark back at the Paw Patrol before you turned the corner.

One Last Word: 1D100+5(Presto) = 40+5+= 45*
*I forgot that Johanna didn't have Presentation as a trait, so that's why the result's wonky. :V

"Hoped you enjoyed our show, because the Sinister Syndicate will be back for more!"

"..."

"...What?"

"Really? The Sinister Syndicate?"

"Y-you agreed to use the name as well!"

"As a place-holder, Presto. Besides, you could have used a different name."

"But I like the name Sinister Syndicate..."

|--------------------------------------------|

Hideout Quality:
1D100+10(Magical Item Search) = 61+10 = 71

After a few hours of driving, making sure to drive in the opposite direction of the hideout before actually going there, you arrived at your hideout exhausted but exuberant at the same time. And the mood was infectious among your minions, who were cutely cheering for you and themselves.

Parking the vehicles under a particularly thick section of forest for the moment, you took off your gloves and voraciously wiped off all the sweat you could.

There was a lot of sweat on your palms.

After that, you got back onto the ATV and signalled to your minions follow you as you drove into your hideout, a discrete cavern in the side of a mountain.

You hadn't even been searching for a hideout when you'd found the cave, but when you had been looking for your bottomless bag, you'd stumbled across it and had decided it would make a very good hideout for your supervillainy. Even if it hadn't been that, it would've made a good temporary hiding spot for your loot and such.

As you drove in, there wasn't much inside the cavern to look at except for some floodlights and a generator you had bought to lighten up the place.

And the golden chicken statue in the middle of it, as well as the massive wyvern curled around said statue, of course.

"You were foolish going off plan in order to do something you were not proficient in," he calmly scolded you as you hopped off of the ATV, grabbing the bottomless bag.

"See?" Presto smugged at you as you rubbed your neck in embarrassment.

"Yeah, that's fair." You meekly reply as you unzip the bottomless bag. "On the plus side, though, I have three new badass vehicle we can either use or sell, as well as a buttload of moneys and valuables."

Money Made: 2D5*1,000 = $8,000

Empyting the contents of the bag next to the statue and quickly counting up the amount of cash and coins you had stolen, it added up to a grand total of $8,000 in hard money, not mentioning the multiple valuables your minions had also pilfered.

You sighed contentedly as you hopped onto the base of the chicken statue and daintily took off your mask, placing it and Presto beside you as you leaned against the statue in tired satisfaction.

"We've accomplished everything we set out to do and more, boys," you purred as Presto, your minions, and even Iskander nodded in agreement. "I believe it's time for a hard-earned rest today."

"I concur." Iskander agreed as he laid his head down to rest. You watched the Allays and Vexes sleepily curl up against each other next to the generator, and soon after you heard Presto begin to snore.

Thankfully, Iskander didn't snore, and soon enough, your eyes closed and you drifted off to sleep.

That night, you dreamed of having a loving family.

|--------------------------------------------|

Rewards:

+750 Popularity. Between your spectacular supervillain debut, the reveal that you were both the master of the Allay and the one behind the many accidents and misfortunes in "Pups Need a Vacation", the fact you have a dragon, and you actually managing to defeat the Paw Patrol, you've exploded in popularity. You're now one of, if not, the favorite character of the Paw Patrol fandom, and you've even got some fans outside of that fandom. Oh, and everyone agrees that Presto and The Puppeteer goes harder than it needed to. +1 Personal Action.

$8,000 in cash, as well as multiple phones, wallets, purses, pieces of jewelry, and other valuables.

One Giant Golden Chicken Statue.

Trait Gained:

Iskander->Stealthy For A Dragon: Given how literally nobody noticed that a dragon had just swooped in and stolen a giant chicken statue until it was too late, you could safely say that Iskander was pretty stealthy. For a dragon, at least. (-10 to Stealth rolls.)

@Rossum, your omake is now canon, though I will note that vehicles has been changed to valuables in-universe, as well as the last line.

This... got out of hand. :V I'm not complaining, though, it was fun to write all this out.

I also want to thank you all for kindly giving all of this amazing advice to me over the past few days. It makes me happy seeing you all trying to help me, and to you I say, thank you oh so dearly. I wouldn't be doing this quest if it wasn't for all of you wonderful people supporting me. :D

Also, for the sake of prematurely putting worries to ease, you won't be tracked. I just remembered that Ryder can only track Pup Tags and not the pup's vehicles, with the evidence clear in the episode "Pups Save a Friend." So, don't worry about that.

Also also, I plan on doing on Omake Bounty Board soon, so stay tuned for that. :D

Enjoy the update!
