@Prok : How in the heck does Jaune not get to use the "basically unlimited so long as it's with good purpose" budget for weapons to upgrade the Transistor? Especially when the costs are really not that high to begin with (given that it's basically off-the-shelf computer hardware) and that it requires no maintenance or upkeep (meaning that it's only a one-time investment, rather than wearing a part down until it can't even be recycled).
Or maybe it's something we can negotiate with Ozpin? I can't imagine he'd not welcome the opportunity to have a friendly supercomputer AI, a friendly newborn AI god, and the guy who created them both not fully on-side. Especially if we can bring up the girl in stasis and point ourselves at the problem (after all, Blue and Bracket managed to come up with a tool that can interact with souls in a matter of minutes--and yes, I know, it would not be an easy or quick solution. It'd require some serious research into souls, almost certainly including Ozpin teaching us as much as he can on the subject, but it'd be a lot better than "hoping that killing Cinder somehow fixes Amber").
