[X] Birdie No- Lumen, Creme, and Weiss's agreed-upon plan. They believe that, free, uninjured, and out of reach of most of the current lineup, the Nevermore is the greater threat, if not the more immediate one- everyone, right now, can go out there and punch the mystery Grimm in the snout if they want to- only two people can effectively hit the Nevermore in the current environment. An enemy that mostly can't be interacted with is significantly more dangerous than one that may have unknown capabilities. Ergo, it should be dealt with decisively- seal the Relics up for safekeeping, then let the Process pull off whatever it can do that was going to cremate you all, and, get this- don't be inside the temple when it does it. Take out the Nevermore, move back to that suspended tower, and deal with the mystery box there.

Huh, I guess given what's going on in the story, we can't do write in options.

My preference would have been: Have Jaune, Ruby, and Pyrrha try to shoot the Giant Nevermore, to deter or injure it, with the help of some Creeps, while everyone else takes care of the Rudolph Grimm.

There's a lot of hunter trainees here, putting them all to one task is a waste of resources and likely to cause friendly fire/interference.

Don't like any of these options frankly. Too much potential collateral damage—different forms of collateral damage—with all of them. Might just go with Damn the Consequences since it has the most flexibility and least outright destruction. Don't want to hurt other test takers.

the process was made to answer unanswerable questions, questions like "what if there wasn't a bird there anymore?"

[X] Damn The Consequences

Let's not accidentally hurt or PANIC the other hunter students. Plus when the emergency isn't super critical, not giving out examples of what the Process can explicitly do is nice.

I'd rather not have to worry about the Nevermore fucking with us when we try to kill the mystery Grimm.
Try? TRY?

THERE IS NO TRY HERE! MORE EXPLOSIVES! MORE! MUAHAHAAHAAAHAHAHA

I disagree. We need to push our limits to grow as a Hunter, and our allies need to know what we can do.

I guarantee you all, if we do this, everyone in our class absolutely will listen every time we call out "danger close" from this point forward.

i know peeps here know of Jauns F-off laser being an option, but I dont want the blatant show right now. Maybe later, if Jaune's company ever gets started.

Basically, I'm fairly confident that we can take the unique Grimm between all of us so long as the Nevermore is out of the picture. Trying to kill the unique Grimm while the Nevermore is active might be a mistake if it turns out it can break free from its restraints and is just waiting for a good opportunity.

Bye bye, Birdy.

[x] APPLY DEMOLITION TO THE GRIMMALD BODY- Ada, Pyrrha, Blake, and if you're honest with yourself, it would be Leathers' choice if he wasn't shaking off a concussion right now. Their plan is rather similar, on the surface, to the others', a fusion in its own way- take the Process's Nevermore deterrent… and aim it at the other guy. Point-blank range. A quick check with the Process tells you that significantly less power will be needed to reach the same desired conclusion, but the sheer force of being near the blasting zone will render the surrounding land to bedrock. On the bright side- the sheer force of the explosion should put out any fires caused!

"Dust, you're something, you know that? A billion different perverts, voyeurs, government workers who think Mantle had the right idea vis-à-vis population observation, any of them could have ended up with a Semblance like yours, and it ends up with probably the only person on Remnant who won't abuse it."

I don't think a billion is the right number to use. This context implies that a billion is a subset of the total population, and a billion being a subset of the total populations seems like orders of magnitude off of what the population of Remnant should be. I'd say it should get changed to "millions".

Ohhhh you're gonna pay for that one in a few seconds, you can just tell.[/SIZE]

BB code got fucked here

... Oh God she fights with pure Dust-

What exactly is shocking about that? The Dust Heiress fighting with Dust, the absurd expense of it, or the terrifying danger of carrying that much Dust into combat situations?

"Currently, the only viable plans we have for this scale of conflict are direct-energy weapons- any weapon in that category with enough power to overcome thermal blooming and noticeably damage the Nevermore at its current flying height would create enough heat to critically damage structural integrity, and incinerate all organic life inside regardless. Since our current goal is to protect the organic life currently inside the defence position, this strikes us as counterproductive."

Okay, there's one thing I feel you totally failed to consider @Prok. What if the Process set up the big gun somewhere else? It'd take it a bit to build, but the build time on the process has generally seemed to be limited more by deciding what exactly to build and the resources on hand rather than the act of building.

If it knows what to build and already has what it needs to build it, why can't the gun be put somewhere else?

...? What's stopping the group from applying both Birdie and the Consequences options? The Process building could make another exit away from the kill box, everyone leaves to cap the Kappie, and while they're NOT in the building/firing chamber kill the birdie?

Hah, I love this. Chaotic, took a bit to remember everything since its been a while, but holy shit is this story a lovely little ball of amusement panic and chaos. Well Done Prok!

Because if the thermal bloom is enough to incinerate anything in the fort- you don't want to be uninsulated near it when it fires. Burns and blindness would be too much of a risk.

So Jaune isn't doing his Small Voice anymore then?

It kinda strikes me as 'We can't do write in options here' because Jaune demanded there be a democratic vote on how to kill our enemies, so we as player's can't just write up 'So we made the process build a tunnel for us and then turned it into a laser fortress to kill the bird and then launch explosive javelins at the regenerating dolphin horse Grimm monster.' Presumably this is also to help with the story writing speed, maybe Prok has some idea about how all three options shake out and doesn't want to have to deal with our SufficientCompetence vote that we craft all together that neatly solves all problems and covers future problems.

Aside from calling all scrolls with information, the Process Temple should probably have some loudspeakers blaring out a couple warnings, otherwise people are going to go blind until their aura fixes their eyes.

Seems the most cautious approach, at this point.

Can people please stop copy pasting the whole block of text? It'd be another matter if this were a multi-part vote or a write in but it's not. You just need to include the first few words and you're golden. Really adding clutter to the page.
