New Good Seed and Omake Rule Updates
Good Seed and Omake Spreadsheet Rules:

Firstly, if you have questions about Good Seeds and the like please read here. If that doesn't answer your question please ping me in thread, or on Discord.

If you write a new Good Seed, or write an omake, please update the spreadsheet if you have access.

If you do not have access, please ping a collaborator (Swordomatic, Alectai, Quest, TehChron, Insane-Not-Crazy, Humbaba, ReaderOfFate, Kaboomatic, no., BungieONI) letting them know what you want and they will update the spreadsheet here. To gain access, you will need a gmail account of some kind. Throwaway emails are fine (I'm using one for the spreadsheet), but to gain access it's as simple as sending me either your email via PM, via DM in Discord, or just in Discord's #spreadsheet-requests channel.

This is mandatory. If a Good Seed does not record their omake by pinging collabs (or just requesting access and editing things themselves - this is the preferred option), I won't give out awards. If a new Good Seed is not recorded here, they won't advance. By doing this it makes the whole thing manageable for me - it's gotten pretty unwieldy!

Omake Writer Instructions:

There are four fields you need to fill out.

Omake Link, which is just a link to your first omake for the turn. This makes it easier for me to read them as I do the update - without this it's tough to know off the bat which omake were written this turn, and to properly

Requested Bonus, which is your requested bonus for your omake. You can leave it up to me if you like. You can see more info in the Good Seed infopost here.

Cultivation Aims. For those following unorthodox paths - higher than 9th Heavenstage or later than 7th Dao Pillar paths. Please put in what you are aiming for before you break through. I have left it as 'default'. If you do not edit it, I'll go with that.

Turn Notes - Do you want to do something specific? Enter a Secret Realm? Help the Clan out in some way? If you have something specific you want to accomplish on this turn, put it in turn notes so I can adjust your Fate around it.

All other fields are for QM use to record character information to properly run the flow of the game.

[X] The Moment of Despair

These two go together well. We learn of the Sea Conquering Army's ultimate sin, and at the same time do something similar in miniature. A shocking development which sends quakes through the geopolitics of the Virtuous Flipper Region, obliterating a Nascent Soul with mysterious eldritch power and changing the game board. Thematically, very interesting.

Edit: plus, we're gonna get a second Nascent as long as we keep surviving. We're much less likely to get our hands on an instant death Nascent Soul weapon that way.

Pretty ok with anything for the 2nd drop. But i was sooo tempted to go Balefire and turn this into a Wheel Of Time Xover. A Age(of Cultivation) yet to come indeed

I really, seriously have a problem with viewing the missions this way.

Not only does it feel metagamey to me, but the missions aren't all equal. They do different things for us, and different people may want to accomplish different tasks with their characters. For example, succeeding too much in the FE Song Empire mission would be a bad thing. We shouldn't want to re-establish the Fearless Line, because that would end the war sooner.
Completely correct. Really when if comes to the song empire the best results is the Qi condensation having a amazing success well the foundation fail. That way we save the mortals, but the war continues and given that we are only in this to save the mortals rather then the righteous path that seems great.

If we balefire one Nascent Soul would it be possible to bluff that we could do it again if pressed hard enough?

I dunno what balefire is, but if you mean the instant-kill, Manuel's a really smart guy. He could probably find a way to do that. Plus, it'll probably have very shadowy aesthetics, which will help make it look like Old Gold's secret super-move.

Even assuming it'd work, we'd then have the problem of the Demonic Alliance going on the rampage and slaughtering untold millions.
Sure. It would be out of character for Manuel to sanction a Blood Path victory, especially after we declined Altar Lord's offer. The playerbase, the seeds, the clan and Manuel are all against Evil winning. It would have been nice to not have to worry about a coalition, though.

It seems likely that in the long run, this would simply have led to us getting mobbed from all directions by Blood Path cultivators too indisciplined and murderous for the handful of individuals like Altar Lord to rein in.

> We commit to invading Jingshen with only 1 Nascent currently.

> Righteous Powers send more than 1 Nascent to punish our greed.
We have Yao to hold down our heartlands for the next 60 years. Combined with the nascent wills that's more than enough on the defence.

Lady Jiao is explicitly noted as being incredibly coddled for a nascent soul by Manuel. Old Jingshen is an Old monster with almost as many plans as Manuel. By pressing the delete button on him and most of his contingencies Jiao isreliant on anything she has personally set up.

Between his Dao, strength and experience advantage I'm fairly confident Manuel can hunt her down.

Our work with the forts last turn also gives us a good route for invasion, having cleared it of nascent defences.

As to afterwards? Without a massive invasion force (Noble Demon alliance thanks them for their service) they can't hope to hold land. It isn't easy to shake loose nascent souls to do raiding actions, and anything less than a mid-nascent is at serious risk of getting mousetrapped by Manuel. Especially since they'd have to come through the lands which have our most developed defences and any number of contingencies Manuel has laid down over the years.

With a fait accompli, unless we stop the spirit stone trade, they're mostly limited to intrigue actions against us. By no means would this make us completely safe, but it's a very, very strong position to hold. As long as the Noble Demon alliance and the Abyssal bees are still extant to provide a threat in being shaking loose nascents to go on so much as a 'punishment raid' would be very tricky.

That should give us room to develop a second nascent naturally and put the clan in a much, much better strategic position.

[ ] The Truth of the Two Paths

Once there was only a single path, true and clear. Then the other split them in twain, the true path and the false. The path of unbounded growth and the path of hateful servitude.

[ ] The Moment of Despair

The victory, long-snatched away. This knowledge it could cloak and give to the last strand. The realisation of victory followed by the understanding of defeat.
I wonder if these two things are connected?

It's old character creation giving-a-pitch stuff which may not have made it into in-game 100%, but the Lost Ones entered this world because of a disaster that had hit their own. Maybe this is something similar here. Maybe they entered this world because they were cut off from the "single path, true and clear" in their world and so they tried to go to another world and change the Heavens in that world so that they could regain the path again.

But changing the Heavens to enable the old path, resulted in a Heavens that was more free to lash out or something?

Which meant that it was utter defeat in their moment of triumph; even if they could cultivate the old, true, path again... the Heavens would just kill them for it. Or maybe they found that what they tried to do didn't work like how they hoped for.

And then a million years later, Demonic Soup Chef does his thing, and it becomes possible to cultivate an Unorthodox path. Maybe it's the old "path of unbounded growth", maybe it's an unorthodox variant of that path which is also affected and influenced by Soup Chef himself now.

[X] The Truth of the Two Paths

So (in their point of view) the brotherhood continue to have a almost unstoppable train of happy notices.

I do hope this don't make them to become even more fanatics in the next trial.

We can't wipe the Saber Palace out--nor should we--because their core is still protected by Severing Will, and that's not something anything in the Sea can reliably breach.
Don't they only have Nascent Will's protecting them not Spirit Severing like the majestic Magic Oak?
The Great Battlefield was stable for some time, of course. Three years ago, three Nascent Souls from the Devil Bee Sect struck the Saber Palace itself. They ruined the defensive arrays, butchered the disciples there, and even defiled the grounds surrounding the Divine Saber itself. They had some manner of ritual to weaken it, and only the return of the Elder of Day summoning the many Nascent Wills there allowed the Divine Saber to properly hold.
It should at least cut the number of will's down they have protecting themselves if it doesn't get erased entirely.

I wanna see all of the second group, but we only can pick one.
