Those fucking rolls! Only the worst or best for us! So many 1's!

One sends it back, it's flesh splitting and breaking apart as rivulets of lava poor from the wounds

"Guys?" Aegis says over the comms, the faint roar of his weapon filtering through. "I think Samus was holding back before."
Ya think? God damn it Aegis, you're STILL not forgiven you idgit.

That was epic IB... I have no idea if all the flame demons thingies are dead or not, but more killing time. And One Punch Man battle music is definitely the right choice!
Deadly acid ignores shields, slowing movement.
Well shit. At least we are the only one here.

Their claws and beaks prove deadly even against shielded foes, but their main strength is their acid projectiles. Its unique properties ignore shields and while most of the damage would be negated by the shield itself the projectile clings to the target, slowing movement temporarily. Kihunters can also leap onto their target and detonate, attempting to take their enemy with them in an explosion of volatile acid.
Ah ok it isn't so bad, no insta kill for federation armor allies. Though being slowed down will lead to death likely and suicide bees. god.

Any information learned by the Kihunters is passed down genetically, allowing them to retain skills learned by their forbearers. This has led to Kihunters proving indispensable in providing equipment and technology towards Pirate interests, as well as maintaining it. More relevant Zero's, Kihunter young, can quickly metamorphose into adults and attack with frightening effectiveness, retaining all the combat skills and knowledge of their parent as well as information about potential foes.
Great, Gould like genetic knowledge. Well It only applies if they live long enough to breed I guess. Samus/We will genocide them soon enough.

Highly adaptable Kihunters who've lived long enough become even deadlier opponents, often taking on unique properties due to their environment. However, their main weakness is that their wings only possess limited shielding, allowing foes to easily remove them. A kihunter on the ground is a far easier foe to deal with then one in the air.
Well then, aim for the fucking wings folks!

Taylor's power isn't arthropods, it's simple neural structures. If they're sapient, they're probably too advanced for her to control.
I am impressed that she is controlling the tank crabs even out here and attacking the alien bees (fuck if I'm going to remember their name!). Too bad it wasn't enough to save all the soldiers, though I imagine it's better than if they had gone off to wreak terror on the civilians! She's gotten quite some range on her now, very impressive. That whole genemoding thing really did help tons. Perhaps feeling 'trapped' in the shield bubble? *Shrug*

God I really feel like rewatching all of OPM now. I'm all fired up!

She's not controlling them, it's the wild one's defending themselves.

Oh geez, I just read a VS thread on SB where people say the S9000 can beat OPM's hero association. Despite the fact Tatsumaki would solo. Hell, Genos would solo, and Genos never wins!

I am so happy I killed the S9 off right now...

In all honesty the S9 are really, well, over inflated I guess is the best term?

They're dangerous to be sure, but what most writers and readers tend to forget is that their roster is rarely full and if it ever is that's because they've just replaced their losses.

They don't really have staying power is what I'm saying, hell if it wasn't for Manton giving them a 'god mode' so to speak then their roster would have been even more fucked over in canon worm after they hit Brockton, or even before it.

The main danger was Jack, but that was because his power gave him the ability to generate a good turnover of capes to follow him and basically gave him quick-time event hints whenever a cape tried to kill his ass. I believe someone once compared him to a twisted version of a pokemon trainer, and they weren't wrong.

I mean for god's sake before the clone bullshit he was basically running a nuzlock run using capes instead of pokemon. He had his favorites yeah, but if some of the other fuckers died, well he would just find someone else to replace them and continue on his merry way.

Someone like that, while threatening to the average man, would be pasted by someone who had powers he couldn't read like an open book and didn't have a shard feeding him info in the hopes of more conflict generation.

It's the reason most S.I.'s or out of context problem AU characters tend to waste the bastards with such ease and impunity.

My own S.I. character is going to have a fun time dealing with him too. He can actually communicate with his shard and because it came from a Space whale that Eden killed and 'ate' it hates the conflict solution bullshit that Eden and Zion cooked up more than anyone. When 'Broadcast' asks for info regarding the S.I. to feed to Jack it's going to give the shard equivalent of a 'Fuck you, the horse you rode in on, and everyone around you too.'

The line draws closer, snarling maws bared and limbs outstretched. The Wretches look like skinned humans, bone armour emerging from their flesh. Dazhbog's brutes with eyeless skulls. The essence of humanity stripped from them by callous evil. Yet you can still see the human they once were inside them, perhaps your own latent psychic powers letting you see a glimpse. Their hopes, their dreams. The people they loved, the things they feared, it clung to these creations like a tattered shroud no matter how hard the pirates had tried to tear it away. Your stomach churns slightly at what the pirates had done...
Making them sound like Madoka Magica witches, here.

I remember when these were hard!

Then with a roar of fury you wrench the Svarog off it's feet, heedless of the warnings screaming in your ear. Jets spark than explode in a torrent of flames as you twist in the air, the abomination pulled forward by your titanic strength. Many tons of twisted flesh soars through the air at surprising velocity, smashing into the ranks of its smaller brethren. It bounces, rolls and skids through the ranks crushing wretches and Dazhbog's under its burning form. Their cries become those of agony as the heat doesn't kill them, and they try to drag themselves forward towards your friends with broken limbs and rent flesh.
REKD.

"Guys?" Aegis says over the comms, the faint roar of his weapon filtering through. "I think Samus was holding back before."
To be fair, we're a wee bit more powerful than before. Precious, precious Wave Beam.

"We're still dealing with these things! Huntress turn around and hel- SAMUS NO DON'T GO OFF ON YOUR OW-!" Mouse Protector screams but it's too late, you've already rocketed into the sky, landing on a rusted boat with an explosion of water. The metal groans as you hit it with the force of a bomb, the boat's end sinking into the waves before you explode off it, leapfrogging between them as you head towards the shore the military was stationed at.

"Damnit Huntress, this is not the time to be reckless!"
Ah, there's Samus's disregard for orders.

Also, Evangelion reference?

You could see Dragon dancing between the clouds, weapons fire lighting up the sky like lightning, punctuated by the thunder of explosions. Burning hulks fell from the sky, fiery meteors that crashed into the ground in a plume of fire and smoke.
Smoke em', Drag!

Your eye is drawn to the city, to the flames and smoke emerging from deep within it. Memories bubble to the surface when you notice the disturbing silence, the lack of sirens of any description. Well the silence of artificial sounds, for the sounds of screams and shouting easily reaches you even at this distance, thankfully not punctuated by any form of weapons fire from inside the city.
That is a relief.

Well unless something's there that doesn't use weapons.

Then you see them. Creatures from far outside Federation space. Members of a conquering empire from far outside any Federation controlled Galaxy that had found close companions in the Space Pirates.

Kihunters!
It's almost like some diabolical mastermind has brought multiple pirate clans together with the promise of ultimate power.

Luckily, the Svarog's had released enough materials to completely replenish your missiles and energy back to full.
Yay, full health and ammo!

Special Note: They are not Arthropods.
Not arthropods? So you're saying Taylor can't mind-whammy them? Damn. :(
The fact the GM has to remind people of this, when it was already said that
Taylor's power isn't arthropods, it's simple neural structures. If they're sapient, they're probably too advanced for her to control.
is just depressing.

I call this "Metroid Missile Massacre", aka. "Let's show Dragon how to make a proper Farah impression.

The alien wildlife may be losing, but they're still there fighting, which means they're still enough of a threat to the kihunters to not ignore.

That. Was. AWESOME! Just what I needed to start the day.

So after some research, I found In Super Metroid the Kihunters came in three varieties, all of which were immune to Bombs. The weakest green ones took half-damage from Beam weapons but Missiles dealt double damage. The second yellow variety has no special strengths or weakness. The red ones were nasty, having lots of HP, dealing lots of damage, and being immune to Missiles and the Wave Beam by itself.

These ones are...blue?

Blue and green are interchangeable.

I love how pretty much everyone's not put the strike-through in, so we have Samus shooting 'justice missiles'. Just a bit of silliness.

I think that might be the result of a bad copy/paste.
I don't think Copy/paste reads the strike-through if you just highlight-copy-paste the vote, rather than quote the post first. EX: My vote, quoted.

And now the same vote, copied from the same post.

See? No strike-through. Try it for yourself.
