The ONLY thing that might work is Clockblocker and even then, I am not sure if the metroids would simply drain whatever energy powers his time stop.

We don't have super missiles, we don't have any combos that might be able to slow them down, we only have one slow weapon that might be able to hit one or two before we get swarmed. It's why the Trilogy version Fungal Halls are such a nightmare, there are fission metroids in there, on top of the regular and hunter variants.
This is why i wrote in my Write in to request continental teleporting and dangersense as backup: they try something funny/discover Samus and co? Off to the whole continent we go!

Here's the thing, I'm not certain it would work. It's possible something prevents teleportation out (except through Chozo-wormholes). Also, I don't know if dangersense would work properly on the Metroids, given the track record of Thinker abilities against anything Chozo-related.

I think it would not work. The reason is that the other strain we detected has teleporting capabilities and seems to be confined to Antartica. So... yeah, if metroids who might be high on Simurgh can't escape, I doubt parahumans can.

That aside there are hints that these Omega are quite intelligent, so danger sense miiiiiight not work or work too late.

...We're coming back, dammit.
When we have Power Bombs, Grapple Beam, X-Ray Visor, Thermal Visor, a better suit, screw attack, control of the speed booster, missile combos and enough ammo to make the entire nations of the world give us wide breath plus orbital bombardment capacities and just about anything else. At the moment we're heavily under equipped, we have one half of the possible X-ray combo (Wave beam+X-ray visor= Possible Corruption combo aka blowing the brains out of an enemy) the wave and ice beams, barely we can control the speed booster or the Hyper Beam.

Taking on an Omega is suicide at the moment.

You nod at Armsmaster and immediately set a waypoint, setting a general path for you all to follow.

Then you all run.

The sound of your feet beating against the metal floors echoes down the halls, a steady rhythm punctuated by roars, shrieks, and chirping that grew less distant by the second. Dots were appearing on your radar, the xenoforms making their way into the building. None seemed to have noticed you but it wouldn't be long until they started to burst through the walls.

Laser Dream was cursing under her breath, Lady Photon telling her daughter to keep running, Velocity like you kept speeding up and then slowing down to stay with the group. Armsmaster was silent, only his breathing telling you he was afraid.

Turning a corner you were in the final stretch, running towards that white shielded door. An ice beam shot hits the door, opening to reveal the still functioning portal.

"MOVE!" You scream and the others throw their suits into overdrive to race towards it as you skid to a halt, arm cannon raised as the dots begin to converge on you.

The others squeeze through the door as you turn back and see them above you, floating, their gelatinous bodies seemingly projecting a greenish glow on the room, their chirping boring into your skull.

Then a growl draws your attention back to the door. Energy seemed to crackle across its form, its hungry eyes locked on you as acidic drool dripped from its maw, sending smoke up from the floor. You don't even wait for the Zeta to move, throwing out your Grapple beam and attaching it to the pedestal. You pull yourself through, transforming into the morph ball just as the Zeta crosses the room in the blink of an eye yet as you pass the threshold the door seals and you hear a quiet thunk as the Zeta hits it. Chozo architecture it seemed could keep even these monsters out.

You aren't given long to ponder it though as your ball like form flies through the wormhole and into your comrades on the other side, bowling them over before you bounce off the cave wall. Before they can climb to their feet however you transform and immediately level your scan visor at the portal. There was a whirr, a buzzing sound and the light of the wormhole vanished, the portal temporarily deactivated. The opened wall segments shift, sliding back into place and sealing off the portal from the world once again.

You fall backward, letting out a sigh of relief. You all escaped with your lives, the four of you had escaped antarctica. You almost want to laugh and the other heroes laying on the ground are probably having similar thoughts, but the sheer threat of what you discovered holds your tongue.

"Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, anyone going to explain why you guys just ran out of there like you just saw a ghost?" Oracle asks, as Miss Militia, Weaver, Kid Win, Dauntless, Triumph and Vista all nod their heads.
+++++
Your debriefing is quick, Armsmaster helpfully doing most of the talking. The truth behind the mystery of Antarctica does not go over well, especially that Oracle had to stop watching the footage of the creatures due to a splitting headache after only a few seconds of looking at the creatures. Luckily however even she admitted that your scans offered the best insight into these creatures and what was happening and that given all the aerial and satellite footage Dragon could rapidly pull up the Pirates appeared to have some shield or defense over Antarctica, though she needed more information due to the obvious cloaking technology they were employing, even her power needed something to go off on.

It did mean that simply glassing Antarctica was impossible, and all agreed that given the situation the Pirates would have done it if there wasn't a massive risk of a quarantine breach. So instead you were left with the knowledge that there was a threat to the earth you couldn't do anything about. It was an exhausting thought, not helped by you having to help a slightly shaken Faultline dismantle the base. The pirates would likely investigate or rebuild the base, but it did mean you could seal off the shrine for now with the bomb you still had.

More importantly, you had made off with quite the haul from your raid.

: 50, 000 units
: 200, 000 units

With this, you'll have the freedom to at least start to build the infrastructure you need to wage war against the Pirates, though that was dependant on how much Federation tech you can develop with oftentimes little more than guess work and pictures to go off of.

By the time you get back to the temple you're exhausted, only barely registering Faultline saying she's going to talk to her teammates about joining. What the pirates are capable of seems to have shaken her, and by the sound of things she also had some personal business working with you all could solve. You barely care at the moment, for the first time in ages just wanting to pass out. You practically drag yourself to one of the couches and collapse onto it, helmet dematerializing and causing your blonde hair to fan out all around you in a disheveled mess. Just close your eyes for a few moments, that's all you want-

"Well... fuck, she really is just a kid. I'd think she was your cousin if I didn't know better." You hear Faultline remark to one of the members of New Wave, probably Laser Dream from the tired grunt.

You growl a bit, wanting silence and you hear Faultline rub the back of her head. "Yeah, yeah. I'm going to go pass out as well after talking to my crew. This has been... an experience."

You give another grunt of thanks and settle into the soft couch. Just a few moments of sleep-

A siren blares and your eyes shoot open, followed by what you're certain is an agitated twitch in your right eye. Everyone else is looking around, completely taken aback by the warning, leaving you to hold out your hand and activate a hologram of Dragons symbol since she didn't want to reveal the extent of her control over the Temple at the moment.

"Dragon what in the stars is going on?!" You bark out, incredibly agitated and exhausted. Dragon's next words, however, make you feel wide awake.

"An explosion just occurred in northern Russia, close to the arctic circle! Strength in the triple digit megatons!" She shouts out, drawing everyone's attention towards you. Worried murmurs spread throughout the gathered onlookers as Duke approaches.

"Can you give us any information on the area?" He asks.

"Area was uninhabited to the best of our knowledge, but the size of this explosion... I'm also getting strange readings but- Hold on, there's a distress signal coming from nearby the blast zone being broadcasted on all frequencies. Code matches... A Federation Distress beacon?! I'll open a channel to them!"

A mans voice suddenly comes from Dragon, whose words cause your jaw to drop.

"Mayday, mayday, mayday! To anyone nearby, this is Commander Adam Malkovich of the Galactic Federation! Our Aries transport has been shot down! Pirate forces and AA have us pinned! We have injured! Requesting immediate support and evac!"

Fuck the hell yes, time for a rescue mission.

More of that sweet, sweet, federation tech.

We need to get there ASAP, hell if Cauldron wasn't such a pile of dicks I'd ask for a damn door.

Quick question, '[] 2400 BCE, Pre-Columbian North America' has been an interlude option once before, is this just a second chance to see the same scene, or is it something different, just same place and time?
